Glimpses into my Life (Part II)

So I went to bed at like 2AM last night because I had a movie night with my roommate and another girl who lives down the hall. Then I got up at 3:30AM to get ready for this insanely gorgeous hiking trip; it was all just so worth it oh my gosh. Just check out these pictures.

The ski village where we had to buy bus tickets:

(The farmers market was in town haha they sold some great stuff!)

On the bus ride up to the trailhead:

The famous destination lake:

Just look at how gorgeous it is. I was in complete awe of how beautiful nature can be.

I was seriously obsessed with this deaf and mute guy who just took selfies with his dog.
Seriously, that relationship is goals.
I may or may not have taken close to three dozen pictures of just this pair.

We couldn’t go on the scenic route (I mean, I thought
this was the scenic route but apparently not)
because my friend brought her dog, and when some moose decide to appear near the scenic
route and see dogs, they flip because they mistake the dogs for wolves and go ape so they
posed some danger on other tourists.)

I took a ton of pictures of trees because my friends were moving too damn fast for out-of-shape me to
keep up so these pictures were an excuse to make them slow down for me.

This is just truly humbling, seeing how grand the scheme of nature is. We are really just so
insignificant, compared to how much more there is to this earth other than humanity.

More excuse pictures.
Q: Have you ever hiked rocky terrian in shoes with awful traction? DON
T DO IT. I nearly broke an ankle
too many times to count.

Also, I’m posting the top two pictures without my friend’s permission, so hehe

And we finally made it! This lake is several thousand feet high in altitude, surrounded by at least
nine(?) fourteeners. Because I could not, for the life of me, get all of the scenery in one decent
photo, I took some panorama shots:

Please do not be fooled into thinking that I go hiking like all the time.
I only wish lol I’m swamped in schoolwork and studying and exams and
college is really stressful. Hiking trips with friends are just my preferable
substitutes for partying on weekends.

I’m currently on winter break and desperately missing the warm weather,
so that explains why I decided to finally update this blog with more photos.
