As you may or may not know,

Before I became a fan of Team B/iKON, I was pretty much a SM stan. I only stan Red Velvet, Twice, iKON and Taeyeon now. But yeah after I got into iKON I kinda drifted away from all previous things I loved and started discovering new things such as k-indie artists and k-hiphop artists but of course, also still kpop (never lost my thing for western music anyway). Soooooo... Decided to give GD's Coup D'Etat album a try (listened to the songs that had MVs before). I loved it.

Fav song gotta be Ride Or Die. Idk it's just so intense and I just feel so much emotions while listening to that song (which is rare because I'm basically a stone, I seriously barely feel anything). And I know that GD wasn't the only one to write the lyrics for this song and I know Teddy's girlfriend said Teddy wrote that song for her but honestly, I do think GD put some of his relationship issues in that song as well. I mean Kiko, I don't think there's anybody who by now hasn't figured out that those two dated for yeaaaaaars, they seemed madly in love and now they broke up (they've always been on-off but always get back together in the end; this time, however, it seems to be taking quite a while). But really, isn't it a modern tragic love story? They truly seemed to be so, so madly in love that you'd think that they would actually Ride Or Die with each other in that industry in their position in their life. Sad that it ended up like this two years later, though.

Call me sappy or whatever, I'm telling you I'm not because that's not how I am, but I truly believe that their relationship is something precious. Two celebrities, one of them being the most popular male artist from South-Korea. Imagine being in their position, it must have been so hard to love each other the best they can. And remembering the hate they both got after people started opening their eyes to their not-so-low-key relationship, I have mad respect for both of them for having a love strong enough to risk their careers for each other.

I have similar thoughts about Baekhyun and Taeyeon. In general I just think it's such a hard thing for idols to do — finding a love precious enough to risk everything you worked so hard for until now. It's not like GD and Kiko broke up because of the rumors, it's not like Baekhyun and Taeyeon broke up after they got caught. It just really proves how strong their affection to each other must have been (talking about all of them).
