Background
Miyoung was brought up under strict supervision. Her family only consisted of her parents, so there was no one to share the pressure with. She had to spend the happy moments with herself and bottle in her problems due to the lack of anyone to share them with. Her parents’ expectations fell heavily onto Miyoung’s shoulders and there was nothing she could do to rid herself of it. Of course, her parents weren’t as bad as they would have been if she lived in Korea. Miyoung was not forced to attend school if she was sick, she did not have to enroll into a cram school and she was actually encouraged to pick up extracurricular activities like sports. 

Miyoung loved playing sports; every kind of them, but soccer was the only one that she truly felt at home playing. By the time Miyoung was ten, she was already training in the kiddies program for the Japanese National Women’s Soccer Team. Her father always thought that Miyoung would follow football as a career until she grew too old to play. Her mother assumed Miyoung would want a more academic job like a lawyer or a doctor. Truthfully, Miyoung had no idea what she actually wanted to do… until she saw LeeSSang. They were on the television and Miyoung caught sight of them at age twelve. The group was new, they had just debuted, and Miyoung fell in love. In an attempt to get to know more about them, Miyoung did some research. What she found was her life path. 

Miyoung became invested into Korean music. She followed acts like LeeSSang, Dynamic Duo, Brown Eyed Girls and TVXQ religiously. Her dream changed from living an athletic life in Japan to letting her thoughts be heard around the world in the form of music. Miyoung studied music and singing thoroughly for five years straight without her parents’ knowledge. She made money from performing on the streets and during small parties. She was able to book gigs that fit her age. She felt truly accomplished for the first time in her life. She loved music and she loved singing. Miyoung was even contacted by Japanese entertainment companies for her talent. The offers were tempting, but they weren’t her goal. Miyoung’s ultimate aim was Korea, where she could stand on the same stage as her idols. 

When Miyoung turned eighteen, she was able to finally book her first official gig at a club. During the performance, she was roped into a sing-off with other vocalists, and even though she was not crowned the winner, the fun and joy she felt that night made her confirm that pursuing singing and music was what she wanted to do for a living. When the evening ended, Miyoung was approached by a man who introduced himself as a representative of SM Entertainment in Korea. He complimented Miyoung’s skills and gave her a business card along with a date, place and time for a private audition in the company among other professionally chosen candidates. 

Miyoung left for Korea on the next available flight out of Japan. She didn’t worry about the money (she had made enough from all her gigs and street performances) or her parents (she was a legal adult by this time so she didn’t need their permission). All she cared about was that she finally had a shot at her dream. Miyoung made it to the audition with little money to spare and was thankfully able to gain entrance into the company. She stayed with SM Entertainment for two years and during this time, she made many unforgettable friends and earned key advice that she would never be able to ignore. 

When Miyoung’s two year trainee contract expired, however, she decided to part ways with the company. SM wanted Miyoung to be the best performer that she could be so they pushed the rapping and dancing sessions more than the singing sessions. This took so much time away from her vocal practice and Miyoung couldn’t have that. Instead, she signed with Cube Entertainment. This company promised Miyoung more focus on her vocal skills and started to prepare for her to debut as a solo artist. Miyoung was excited to finally debut as an artist, but Cube Entertainment scrapped her solo debut, citing that her dancing skills have improved and it would be a waste for her to debut as a soloist, so she was put into the line-up for Mystique. 

Miyoung is still peeved about debuting with a girl group and not as a true artist, but she is slowly starting to warm up to the idea. She has decided to put her main focus on singing and will still try to continue her career as a soloist after promoting with the group.

At first, it took him a while to warm up to the idea of the unstable career path that she wanted to take, but nothing will shake the undying love he has for Miyoung. He took it the hardest when she left and keeps asking her to visit Japan when she has the chance.

Personality Traits: 
{EXTROVERTED}  Miyoung isn’t the type of person to keep to herself. She loves talking to people and getting to know them. She is energized by social interaction and always has a smile on her face. Plus, chatting with others gives her inspirations for lyrics. Miyoung is the type of person to laugh and respond to anything a person is saying. There is never a lull in a conversation with her. She will make you feel like you’ve known each other for ages.

{COMEDIC} Miyoung hates dull situations. She loves to hear other people laugh and she loves it even more when it's her who is the one making all the jokes. She loves to use sarcasm and has a talent for coming up with hilarious and borderline inappropriate gags and puns. This makes her one of the more active members on variety shows, as she is able to roll with a scenario and make a lot of jokes about it, sometimes more than less becoming the of some MC jokes. 

{PASSIONATE} To get where she is today, Miyoung busted her . She didn't sit back and let her looks do all the work for her. This meant endless hours in the recording booth, long after everyone had turned out for the night. She worked on her dancing and lacking rap skills until the sun came up. She wanted to make herself something more than just the pretty, foreign face and although she still isn't as talented as her other members in rapping or dancing, her hard work still shines through. 

{IMPATIENT} Because Miyoung had to wait so long to debut and even longer to move to Korea, she has developed a pretty impatient personality. When she wants things done, she wants them done right then and there or she'll snap. Miyoung likes to think of herself as a relatively calm person, but when she snaps, all hell breaks loose. She throws the biggest fits and ignores the need to respect other people. However, Miyoung does not snap often. The only time she will show off this side of herself is when people are taking too long to do things. 

{BLUNT} Miyoung has a blank side. some of it comes from not listening to what others are saying, but most of the time, it is just her thinking face. Along with the facial expression, her blank-ness can be conveyed through random outbursts of what she is thinking. Sometimes this can lead to tensions in her relationships because Miyoung never truly filters what she is going to say. 

{UNFORGIVING} Miyoung holds grudges. She never forgives and she never forgets. If someone wrongs her once, she will drop them immediately. To her, there's no use keeping someone like that in her life. Even when others come begging for forgiveness, Miyoung hardly ever gives them what they want. She has been through many scams back in Japan and she does not want to become entangled in more, so she will say a feverant goodbye to anyone who crosses her.

Personality:
{CARING} Sunggyu is known to be a very gentle, nice and well-mannered person and his personality is very soft and very loveable by anyone who gets a chance to know him. He loves with an open heart and always has a smile on his face. He cares for everyone, whether he knows them or not. It is a contrast to Miyoung's sometimes brash personality, but they still work incredibly well together. 
 
{PROTECTIVE} Sunggyu is extremely protective over those he loves. He will defend Infinite and his family until his death. He is also very protective over Miyoung. Whenever she gets hate or pushed around, Sunggyu won't hesitate to tell them off despite Miyoung knowing how to defend herself. 

{INTELLIGENT} Sunggyu's smarts are no joke. He placed second at his former high school and still indulges in light studying during his idol life. He is invested in reading and always takes time to recommend some books to Miyoung even if he knows she will never read them. 
 
{CLUMSY} Sunggyu suffers from Acute Clumsy Condition. He is extremely proficient in body gags, but he does not try to be. Anything he touches somehow malfunctions and he has a hard time standing on his own two feet. However, Sunggyu loves to laugh off his clumsiness and does not take himself too seriously. 

{SENSITIVE} Sunggyu is incredibly sentitive. He takes what others say to heart, even if they are just joking. It is another contrasting trait with Miyoung because she is very blunt and will say things she does not mean. Sunggyu isn't one to vent his frustrations out loud, so when his sensitivity is triggered, he usually heads to other places to cry or catch a breather. Miyoung hates this because she is never able to find him. 

How they met: They will meet while Miyoung is on a morning run during debut promotions. She is a fan of Infinite so she will go over to introduce herself and he will say that he's a fan of her music. The both end up going on morning runs at the same time, so the regualrly meet up for breakfast and coffee.
Interactions: In public, the two like to bicker to no end. They are always arguing about the pettiest of things with smiles on their faces. They will both insist that they are right and the people around them usually get tired of their incessant playful arguements. In private, Sunggyu and Miyoung act more like lovers, even though they are not together yet. They speak in quiet voices toward each other and throw out compliments casually. Sunggyu is one to playfully flirt with Miyoung, but she always ends up oblivious. When Miyoung is feeling bold, she will try to compliment and flirt with him more, but she always ends up as a stuttering mess and he becomes incredibly amused.
