BEHIND THE SCENES

Background:
Yeonhee was born in Seoul, South Korea, as her parents were living there for a few years due to her father's previous occupation as a business operations manager at a wealthy and well-known electronics company based in Seoul. After 2 years of being born, Yeonhee and her family moved to Fukuoka, Japan to start afresh, as her father was entangled in an argument within his previous company. It was difficult, but the family of three managed despite the language barrier back then and slightly different culture. Plus, being so physically active and bright as a child, Yeonhee always lifted her family's spirits up. While learning Japanese in school, Yeonhee's parents made sure she learned her mother language, Korean, as well as the Korean culture.

Being the only child of the family, Yeonhee got ample amounts of attention from her parents despite the fact that both of her parents worked during the early years of her childhood: her father made sure that Yeonhee was always on top of her homework and studies, while her mother taught her simple housework, like cleaning, and sewing. When it came to cooking and baking, it was mostly a hit and miss. Sometimes, whatever Yeonhee cooked would be edible, other times it was a huge pile of black. Thus, Yeonhee preferred that someone else did the cooking.

Since Yeonhee knew a fair amount of languages (Korean, Japanese AND was quite good at English, too), her father thought that she would opt to being a translator or go for a career that dealt with global interactions. She was vocal with her learning in languages and, from observations, she seemed to be putting in so much focus and effort on her English homework. It was true that Yeonhee liked to learn languages but it was difficult, especially in learning new vocabulary, and she wasn't entirely sure in any career path at that time, but she kept at it while also being particularly physically active. Extra-curricular activities were quite common in Japan and she, along with her close peers, was in the girls' soccer club. Yeonhee wasn't so much fond of sports but soccer was an exception and she indeed liked to move about.

Yeonhee was approached by a scout for modeling at the age of 16 years old. This all happened while she was merely grabbing some ice cream to nibble on with her friends after school. Her mother was ecstatic when she found out, while her father was a little hesitant but agreed to it anyway. At the start of it all, Yeonhee modelled for small businesses and brands, but she eventually shot to fame in Japan and she received lots of modeling requests left and right. This led to her mother quitting her job to focus on being her daughter's manager for modeling shoots and to be able to drive her to photoshoot destinations after school.

She was then discovered and immediately swiped by FNC Entertainment and, thus, she returned back to Seoul, South Korea after finishing high school. For a full year, she modelled under FNC Entertainment. However, the treatment she received in the company wasn't to her liking and so, she (luckily) broke her contract. A few months later, auditions opened for JYP Entertainment. Although she didn't know if she was decent enough in singing and dancing at that time, she gave it a shot anyway and was accepted in, also partially due to the fact that the company knew her modeling career when she was in Japan.

Yeonhee trained in singing, dancing, and acting under JYP entertainment for two years. She was so busy in training at this time that she rejected most modeling offers to focus. Despite being slightly better, and despite how she tried to see the light of the company, the atmosphere in JYP entertainment seemed too tense for Yeonhee, and it seemed like she had only a minute of rest until she had to get back up again for another training schedule. She left the company and spent about a month resting. It was at this time that her mother finally returned to Korea to visit; her father couldn't make it as he was one of the most important people in his company in Japan, but he sent his support through his wife.

Cube Entertainment then sent Yeonhee an offer to join their company after having heard some time later of her departure from JYP. Yeonhee was determined that Cube Entertainment was better, as she had heard from the other trainees she's socialized with in the past, and so she accepted the offer. True to their theories, she was treated well in the company. She continued her singing, dancing, and acting training in Cube Entertainment. In comparison to when she was in JYP, she developed a liking to singing, but what caught her most was dancing. She improved a lot in dancing the moment she started training in Cube. Seeing so much improvement and potential in her, she was now rumoured to be a part of Cube's new upcoming girl group.

THE FACE BEHIND THE MASK

Personality Traits:

  • Positive - she often sees the good in things first before looking at the bad aspects; smiles a lot
  • Playful, depending on how close she thinks she is with the person, and ultimately quite touchy, too
  • Respectful to visibly elder people

  • Can be naggy at times - especially when it came to cleaning

  • Dirty dishes in the sink, especially when they've been there for DAYS

YOU'RE MINE

LOVE INTEREST

Name: Park Yoochun
Group: JYJ
Personality: Park Yoochun is an absolute dork on camera. He likes to joke around, make fun of his friends (like Junsu), and sometimes be lazy, but he's passionate in everything he does as long as he sets his whole mind to it. However, due to his growing professionalism in the field of acting, he can easily mask his true emotions. Thererfore, it's quite difficult to read him, especially when he's troubled, and he uses his acting skills to his advantage by being friendly and active on camera when he's actually very troubled on the inside.

Ever since the split with HoMin, he wasn't the same than he used to be. He tries to keep to being the same as he was, especially on-camera, but sometimes he slips it out. He is more reserved to himself than ever before, and is careful in trusting others.

How they met:

(Option 1) Yeonhee knew quite a bit about Yoochun due to the fact that she watched some of his dramas during training.

Since Yeonhee has had training in acting, a little after their debut, she got casted to a drama for a side-role/main role, where she met Yoochun. They hit it off well and had been trying to keep in contact since.

(Option 2) They met at a collaboration photoshoot with their fellow members. JYJ, being the sunbaes of the industry, provided lots of support and advice to Mystique.

Interactions: Respectful at first then friendly. During interviews, especially for promotions of their drama, they mention each other back and forth, causing a little stir in the media that something might be up between the two
