"Yah yah," Jinki squinted at the boy before him, "Show me your ID." 

"Neh?" Taemin squinted back the same, but different to the convenience store cashier, he actually can't see due to his shortsightedness. Since when does buying candy require the ID? 

Still bewildered, he fished out his student card and handed it over politely with two hands. The other man almost snatched it over and peered at it seriously, adjusting his spectacle as he stared. 

"Just as I thought, Lee Tae-Min," Jinki smirked obnoxiously from behind the card, "You're underage. I can't allow you to buy that." 

"Neh??" Now Taemin was just shocked, "I can't buy candy because I'm underage?" 

"Don't joke with me!" The elder of the two clicked his tongue and flicked the student's forehead, "These, are condoms! You've been peering at them for a while, obviously choosing your favorite." 

"Banana scented, huh." Jinki teased further, "Interesting taste you've got there." 

The boy was horrified and it showed on his face. He was blushing a fierce red and dashed out the convenience store before he could hear the door 'ding!'

The next time Taemin went to the store, was with a bunch of girls from his class. The boy just wasn't one to hang out with friends of his same gender, whether it was because of his meek nature or his feminine features. He didn't know why his group never consisted of boys, when he desires them so much. He was at that age afterall -- to want to fall in love. But he didn't care to find out; he was always part of the art club and the piano fraternity, never one of those sweaty sporty guys on the soccer or the track team. 

When they were ready to make payment at the counter, Taemin instantly recognized the overbearing cashier. He had tried to hide behind his group of three girls (since he bought nothing) when the older man spoke up, "Yah yah, which one of you girls is Lee Taemin's girlfriend? You're all underage and is ready to have ?" 

Taemin's cheeks grew a bright red and he cowered lower behind the girls as Jinki continued, his voice y and deep to him, "Look, I'm not going to preach that the safest way is the abstinence way, but Taemin will be convicted if he gets caught for sleeping with a minor." 

The man was going on and on presumptuously, not noticing that the three girls in front of him were struggling not to burst out laughing. And when they did, they couldn't stop. 

"Ah-ahjussi!" One of the girls gagged herself from laughing to speak, "What girlfriend? I'll be surprised if Taemin even finds a boyfriend!" 

"Kry-Krystal!" Taemin whined, pulling the end of her uniform, "Le-let's just g-go!" 

The girls only kept giggling as they paid for their items and as they left, Jinki heard playful whispers of 'Minnie, what's with the  talk that uncle was going on about? Is he your mom?' and 'Minnie, have you found a boyfriend yet? Minho has been ogling at you for months!' 

The third time Taemin met the convenience store staff, he was staring straight in his eyes. His vision couldn't even register the man waving in his face. 

"Are you like," Jinki was so close to his face he could even feel his breath, "Super shortsighted?" 

Taemin was so embarrassed he snapped at the elder instead, though still shyly like a kitten, "W-why'd you have to go say some we-eird stuff? Now the girls won't stop bugging me!" 

"Well, for one I'm not the underage brat who wants to buy banana-scented condoms," Jinki replied haughtily, "And two, I'm older than you, so check your attitude." He flicked his forehead again. 

"I-I to-told you I-I'm not buying c-con-condoms! I was try-trying to b-buy some sweets!!" 

By now the underage candy-buying student was sporting a face as red as beetroot, quietly adding a "I-I'm sor-sorry..." 

"Pabo-yah," Jinki's expression softened, "Why aren't you wearing your spectacles when you need them?" 

He could barely catch the boy mumble out that he cracked them the other day he walked into a pole. Jinki swore that he really tried to hide his amusement but only failed when he broke out laughing till tears pooled in his eyes. 

"I was reading, and it was getting interesting!" He hissed, defending his, uh, studiousness. 

"Arasso arasso, now for your information," Jinki took a deep breath to stop his laughing fit, "Condoms are on your left of the counter, and candies are on your right." 

He had an urge to tuck the younger's fringe behind his ears to show his beautiful eyes, and so he did. The boy was visibly startled when he returned the soft gaze of the elder. To hide his apple cheeks he countered with a, "It's none of your business anyway what I choose to buy. You're not my mom."

Jinki could say he's fully locked on to this cute nerdy boy; how he never fails to intrigue and amuse him. 

"So fine," The cheekiness in his voice returned, and Taemin gulped hard at his protruding Adam's apple, "As I've heard..." 

"You bat for the other team right? And since a certain Minho hasn't won your heart, how about I not be your mom and be something else?" 

Taemin was beyond flustered as he looked up at the cashier again, this time he admits to being mesmerized by that unrelenting sparkling eye-smile. 

When the red-faced underage candy-buying student left the store this time, he had just heard the door 'ding!' and he felt his phone vibrate. A message popped up; 

"Hey Minnie, want to hang out with hyung some time for some banana candy?"
