   BAE    ; as probably known by everyone, the word 'bae' has not-so-recently become a western term of endearment. because of this, bae has been baein's nickname almost all of her life. it's really just a cute short-form of her name that's easy to remember and cute.
   PAIN    ; given to baein by none other than jongin because he thinks he's sly and clever when in reality he just . baein's name resembles th english word for 'pain' and she guesses that jongin is hinting at how much he hates her. whenever baein approached jongin and his fellow exo members, he'll call her this, causing all of them to pity her and start -talking jongin to baein's enjoyment lol.

baein is a breathtaking blonde that will catch your eye from miles away. she stands at a height of 170cm and a weight of 49.5kg. her face resembles her elder brother's while at the same time is completely different. she is definitely under the basic korean beauty standards and must be amazingly gorgeous if she had been scouted by sm entertainment scouts. her most noticable traits are her currently blonde locks with bangs "but i think i looked y with brown hair", hypnotizing eyes, pretty pink lips, square jaw and pale-tan skin. she has a freckle near her eyebrow and another just above her left hip. her hair used to be brown but she got it dyed by a stylist recently, giving her hope that she might debut soon. her body is curvy and has an hour glass figure, and she has coveted abs. instead of being the visual of her group like her elder brother, she is the face of hers, which in her opinion is way better.

                                   IT WAS LIKE A DREAM UNTIL THE NIGHTMARES SEEPED THROUGH.   
after being scouted at the korean times music festival in 2012, baein was presented with a contract to train under sm entertainment. when she left home and packed her things and moved into the trainee dorm, training began immediately.  she was brought to a room by herself with at least ten people. people  ranging from stylists to vocal directors, all there to see what the scout had found and to question her ability. the scout had only chose baein out of looks, so now was her chance to show everyone there what she could offer. baein wasn't blind to see the kids around her age grouping around the glass door and staring baein down. she was asked to tell them about herself. "huh? oh! annyeonghaseyo," baein bowed. "i'm kim baein. i grew up in suncheon and i moved to seoul with my family when my brother started training here. i'm glad he's debuted already." baein had nodded, talking in an unusual straight tone. the adults before her murmered to each other in confusion until the vocal director spoke up. "who's your brother exactly?" "ah, how silly of me. i'm the younger sister of exo's kai." baein nodded, and gasps were heard from in and outside the room. one of the vocal directors told one of the unamed men to fetch the brother in question and when the man came back with him, jongin looked surprised to see his little sister. "baein?" he asked and she waved at him. "so this girl is your sister?" the woman asked, and jongin nodded. the trainees outside of the door got even more riled up and some of them ran from the door. jongin was asked to stay to observe his sisters' talents and he knew he would get scolded later for not telling anyone he had a younger sister. baein was asked to sing, so she sang 'i have a lover' by lee eunmi. she was asked to dance  freestyle to some music, making people scoff 'wow this really is kai's sister.' and she was asked to rap, she freestyled as well. she could do it all. the ten people including jongin exchanged looks and the vocal director looked back at baein. "your vocals need a little work, but other than that your skills don't differ from your brother's. welcome to sm entertainment, baein. we expect you to work hard." baein realized that there wasn't any going back now. she didn't expect for it to be so quick. "u-uhm.. ne." she bowed. "good job, bae." jongin smiled. "i'm sure some of those nosy trainees outside are eager to meet you and show you around. go." she instructed and baein bowed, leaving.

during training baein was one of the more known and popular trainees. the  trainers and stylists were a little more biased towards her because she was related to jongin. she was intimadating because of her intense love of dance, her ability to sing, dance, rap, and potentially act, and because of her relation with jongin. even though she wasn't aware that she was intimidating, she was intimidated by everyone else. the other trainees seemed to treat her well as well as the company's idols [ mostly exo and tts ] but she still felt discouraged at time. training was unbelievable. she soon came to the realization that any boy group could become popular without even singing and yet girl groups had to go above and beyond to make their marks. they had to do everything. wear revealing clothing while at the same time be chic and cool, also having to be badass. people expected too much from girl groups. and she compared some of aoa-sunbaenim's dances compared to a boy groups - she wanted to do boy group choreography. why did exo take  4 months to perfect and master their 'growl' choreography while snsd only learns theirs in sometimes 4 weeks? because when you're a girl group, you're girls. keeping this in mind for all her years of training, baein promised herself to debut and change the standard of girl groups. show them that a girl group can be moving and inspirational. ask the other trainees and they'll say that baein was one of the most hard working of them all. baein remembers the tears shed from dieting or when she couldn't get something right, or when her training evaluation marks dropped significantly. she kept in mind that she was lucky and born with talent, because if she wasn't jongin's sister or talented, she wouldn't be here.
 

"my training... it was overwhelming. i guess i started out good. i had lots of friends and the younger trainees looked up to me. they were all really fascinated with me and my brother's relationship. i don't think there was any body better than me when it came to dancing... seulgi unni was okay. and then things began to change when i was told that i might have the slightest chance of debuting. i stopped eating regularly... diet pills... i went deaf for a moment because of how little i ate. i started crying to relieve stress. once my body was really was sore but our dance instructor told us to pop for 5 minutes straight. i cried even though there was a camera focused on me... i started to get really angry if i couldn't get something right or if i didn't remember anything. and whenever i got caught for going against my diet, my diet would become harder, and i'd cry even more. i thought to myself 'am i really not skinny enough? did my body have to be the size of a twig?' i had this thought a lot. but my brother and his group supported me... so i felt a bit more encouraged. my groupmates too - they encouraged me. i didn't think i could carry on but... here i am. "

baein is a fun person. ever since birth she's been somebody that you'll know one way or another and grow to like. she's somebody who would be popular because of personality over looks. she's hilarious and really doesn't give two s about people that don't like her because a good majority of people do. baein is chill and laid back, a girl who's optimistic about achieving great things without much effort because duh she's awesome at things. you could say "baein, we have practice." born on a rainy day on october sixteenth, 1999, a child of beauty was born into the world. she was born into an average lifestyle in suncheon, where she grew up only knowing music. her father and mother pushed her and her older brother jongin to take dance lessons. they both enrolled in 1million dance studio, jongin when he was seven, and baein when she was eight, the exact year that her brother set off to go train for sm entertainment after being scouted while he was walking to school. once her brother left home she decided to never quit dancing and end up where he is as well. in high school she was known as 'the girl who's  gonna' debut' because she was not only apart of the dance team but also the choir, and her guy friends' rap circle, and she performed every year for the annual talent show. her group of friends wanted to be idols as well. she remembers a friend she's had since childhood named sana who always convinced baein to go to auditions with her. they had auditioned for jyp entertainment twice before baein's older brother debuted and her family moved to seoul so they could be closer to jongin to support him and so he could visit home often. they made the big move and suddenly baein's parents became wealthier. her father was hired as a lyricist for none other than jellyfish entertainment. her mother earned money besides her job by singing in the streets of hongdae, her husky voice warming the hearts of couples and elders. baein transferred to a more upperclass high school and she was even more popular there. she thought it was because she was cool but she came to realize that she obtained all her friends by saying "exo's kai is my older brother". but on one rather fateful day when it was late at night and a fourteen year old baein walked out of 1million dance studio, she was scouted. by who? none other than a representative of sm entertainment. baein rushed home that day, telling her parents of the news. they gave her support and hope, amazed and happy with her. i introduce to you kim jongdo and yu bitin, possibly the most smug and happy couple to ever live. they were highschool sweethearts and ended up getting married four years after. they had jongin and baein and they officially were the proudest parents as well. since they are both good looking it's no question where the two got their good genes. jongdo is a lyricist/writer, someone who immerses himself in telling a story through music. bitin is a singer that never fully fufilled her dream. her voice is still beautiful but she struggles to be extrodinary. so they both fully support baein's and jongin's choice of career as idols. they are both easy-going and loving, the cool parents in a bunch. they let baein take dance for almost all of her life and let jongin debut. baein recalls a video call she had with her mother when she was practicing and her father came into view. and here i present to you the visual of the worldwide phenomenon, exo, kim 'kai' jongin. he is either known to his fans as a -god or an adorable idiot, often using 'kai' as the -god and 'jongin' as the idiot. he debuted in 2012 and left home, but still keeping contact with his family. during his training, baein would always tell him how much she wished to train as well, but he never took her words seriously. and surprise, surprise, a few months after jongin's debut guess who he sees being evaluated? baein. he was called in to confirm their relation and to watch her talent, and he was surprised. she could do everything, and he thought she was just a dancer. when baein officially commenced training, he became overprotective of her, and baein did the same. when baein would be hanging out with male trainees, jongin would use his star power and make them leave her alone, and if the trainees for the line up of 'red velvet' came around jongin, baein would glare at them sending them away. jongin is a piece of but is still sweet, encouraging her and always encouraging her to eat more. he teases her around the exo members [ that have been dissappearing one by one, only three people remaining in exo-m ] and baein does the same with the trainees. the two met baein on the first day of baein's training. they were two of the people crowded around the door as she was being first impression evaluated. they got to her first and grabbed her like savages and they ran, bringing her to a practice room. they introduced themselves and swore that they were protecting her from being interogated and that if she stuck with them, she'd have a good time at sm. jaehyun had trained for sm for about two years but taeyong was scouted four days before baein. the three of them are good friends and to be honest jaehyun and taeyong are fans of baein because of how pretty talented she is, and because of her relation to jongin. they all made a promise to debut together and the two are usually knocking on the door of baein's dorm at an ungodly time in the morning to sneak into the kitchen and eat some food for a change. even though yijeong is older than baein, baein still has slight authority over her because she's trained longer. baein had been training for almost a year when yijeong entered the company, catching baein's, taeyong's, and jaehyun's attention. actually jaehyun fell for her in an instant and baein told him to chill. seeing as how gorgeous she is, she became baein's instant girl crush, but time went on and days passed, and they became close friends - almost as close as injeong and yijeong. and of course to aeon's fans, yijeong, injeong, and baein [ the jeong-in trio haha ] are the holy mukbang trinity but when in comes to just baein and yijeong, they are #baejeong. they share a room alongside injeong and at night you better believe that baein is blasting justin beiber's 'sorry' and proceeding to twerk in her face to get her to wake up. after befriending yijeong, one day she was pulled along by her to somewhere else and found an unfamiliar face that yijeong wanted her to be friends with. baein was a little self conscious when injeong kept sticking with yijeong and almost pushing her out, but by chance they became closer the day injeong stumbled upon baein taking her early stages of diet pills. luckily injeong rushed to baein and snatched the pills away from baein with a little struggle and told baein not to torture her body, and baein nodded, knowing that she was right. since then, they comfort each other on their bad days and so on. injeong is also apart of the holy mukabng trinity but when it comes down to just injeong and baein, they are #kimmy/#2in. usually if baein is bored at 3 in the morning, she'll poke at injeong's belly and sing her a lullaby even though she already asleep. this is the ungodlydemon maknae of the worldwide global phenomenon, EXO. i present to you oh sehun. they met a week after baein's training commenced since the whole group was itching to see what was related to jongin. the whole greeted her warmly but sehun was a little different. he didn't seem all that interested in meeting her which broke little baein's heart because her bias is the only one that isn't interested in her. she stumbled upon him a few days after their first encounter and baein panicked, going up to sehun and offering him the banana milk she had been dying to have all day. he accepted it and almost as if he read her mind, he explained that he kept his distance the other day because jongin had told him to. they shared a laugh and decided to become friends. sehun looks after her and back in her trainee days, he would pull her out of practice and invite her along with the exo members to eat or watch a movie, which made the other trainees jealous 99% of the time. sehun is like a supportive older brother and he treats baein like a little sister, and it is and always will be a one-sided love, and baein's okay with that. they also both featured in boa's 'who are you' m/v together. "did you know that your my bias in exo?" first meeting »  it was the second day that baein's training had started. she was followed around by jaehyun and taeyong who wanted to befriend her. baein unfortunately let them do so, and before she knew it she was being dragged through the halls of the training building and was being guaranteed that 'there's someone that you should meet'. she was brought to a vacant dance practice room, there was a guy laying down on the floor. he had sweat drenched hair and was wearing a baggy shirt with no sleeves, showing off his toned arms. "yah, ten." jaehyun hollered and the said boy sighed and got up from the wooden floor. "what?" he said, annoyed. "this is kai-sunbaenim's sister." taeyong said simplisticly, shoving baein forwards towards ten. ten eyed her, amazed with how long her hair was. "i'm ten." he smiled friendly, holding out his hand for a shake. "and you are?" he asked. "i'm baein." she said smally, distracted by how good-looking he was, but she made a fist with her hand and he caught on, giving her a fist-bump instead. they gazed at each other, grinning, taken with each other, and hadn't noticed that jaehyun and taeyong left. when baein did notice, ten noticed right after, but they both seemed to not mind. "so, what have the trainers identified you as?" he  chuckled. "uhm, triple threat. you?" baein said confidently as she flipped her hair over her shoulder, alluring ten. "woah, triple threat." ten nodded, impressed. "dancer, but they say i can do rap and vocals too." baein nodded in response. "you... you look foreign." "i could say the same for you, baein-ssi." "no... you're from somewhere else right?" "thailand." "wah~ sawadee kha." baein greeted him in thai, holding her hands together, making ten smile. "how old are you, baein-ah?" "fourteen, and you?" "fifteen." he said and suddenly the door to the practice room opened and they both looked over to see jongin. they bowed. "bae, our pd wants to meet you." "p-pd!?" "yeah, because you're my sister." "oh.. r-right. bye ten!" she waved eagerly as jongin pulled her out of the practice room and ten waved back. "see ya." he smiled.

INTERACTIONS » it started with seeing each other more often. [ which jaehyun and taeyong may or may not have planned ] baein would find ten practicing hard and she would offer him some water. or sometimes ten would drop by with some words of encouragement, and baein became use to seeing him often. the two actually became friends quickly, and baein looked after him for some reason - maybe because she figured that being nice to a cute guy would make him realize that baein is also cute, but little did she know that he thought that a long time ago. taeyong and jaehyun would cancel on plans that the four of them had, leaving just baein and ten. they'd go to the movies often, and baein would be spontaneous and lean her head on ten's shoulder, leading him to put his arm around her. or sometimes when baein brought him a protein shake to keep his energy up, he'd thank her and run his hands through her hair. they liked each other at this point - and jaehyun and taeyong knew it without either of them saying so. they were both skeptical and both eventually found out that jaehyun and taeyong were responsible for their feelings for each other. their intention was to set the two up together. both baein and ten were furious but somewhat thankful - they definitely were attracted to each other. somehow being friendly became flirtatious actions - even after baein debuted - they were still total flirt with each other, but never let the flirting over power their friendship. they support each other and baein hopes that ten debuts  soon. they can be seen walking around the training building together, hand in hand or ten's arm wrapped around her body, leaving people to ship them ( baein lowkey side-eyes her groupmates ) and ask temselves why they just don't admit that they like each other and date already. they poke at each other and ten gives her piggy-back rides almost everywhere, tell each other secrets, and ten always asks what being a real idol is like in fascination. they'd be cute together if only they weren't shy to bring it up.

CONCLUSION » it's been five months after baein's debut and ten was almost 200% sure that he fell for her. he knew that the company wouldn't allow it and he thought she didn't feel the same way, but he had to try to tame her lion heart. he invited baein to attempt to learn nasty nasty's 'knock knock' choreography, and baein hesitantly agreed because she was aware of how - well - touchy the choreography is. that night, baein showed up in the practice room, graced with ten's  handsome smile. "hey." he blushed unintentionally. they began to learn the choreography, stopping whenever things got feely and they both cleared their throats awkwardly. it was now 1am, and they had learned the entire dance. it ended up looking good, just like how their sunbaes had did it [ click ]. they ended the dance in kyungri's and kevin's pose, breathless, and as baein was about to move away, ten stopped her by kissing her. it was brief, but enough to make baein flustered with a red face. she still didn't move from their ending pose as she looked up at ten. "you know that i like you, right baein?" he said, and he got no answer. "and you... do you like me back?" ten asked, looking embarrassed for the first time in forever. baein was frozen, still trying to process that the guy she's had a crush on just kissed her. baein just was confused and ten kept talking. "i remember the day we first met. your hair was brown and your eyes were enchanting. i remember how you took care of me and-" "y-yes!" ten laughed, running his hands through baein's hair. "yes what?" ten said, and baein backed up. baein imitated her sunbae's aegyo and sang the confession song to ten [ click ]. ten laughed and pulled her into a hug, feeling relieved. "so, baein... will you go out with me? well - accept my feelings?" ten asked cautiously. "yes, you idiot." baein said softly.

they were a couple, a secret, real couple. of course they had to date in secret because their company wouldn't allow their relationship and ten hasn't even debuted yet. baein promised ten that after he debuted, they'd ask the pd to go public with their relationship. a good amount of people in the company knew of their relationship and supported it, their sunbaes finding it cute. all except for kai and sehun, but nevermind about them.

comments/suggestions » hello! i'm ash, and you just read about baein, my character. uhm just a few things [ a lot of things lmao ] this app is very rushed and very bad lmao forgive me. baein's style is basically a crop top, sweatpants/leggings, and a flannel shirt around her waist much like in this video [ click ] and she prefers to have her hair straight. as for her persona, i wanted to make a character who was really close to their fans. somebody who could relate to them and ask things like  'did you watch exo's comeback too?'. i think her talent twins are okay - but if you want me to change the rapper twin i will because i wasn't sure about it too. in one of the teasers minhyuk said that 'the rouge' could have been lead in two positions and main in another, so think of dance as baein's main. okay the trivia was my favourite part to write haha. i'm sorry if you feel like the personality and background were vague because as i said this was very rushed. basically baein is AEON's insane energy pill.  whoops yes baein is jongin's sister! i collabed with two of my lovelies  chatshire- ( risa ) and calmjong/oxygens ( jeong ) and i read your reviews - i wasn't aware that collabing wasn't encouraged haha~ uhm the love interest sections is making me throw up in my mouth because of how fluffy it could potentially be. anyways if there's any questions you have or confusion, please don't hesitate to ask!
