Hello guys, please read my previous blog because I am going to ask some of you guys if you think Seung Ji (Donghae's character) is actually based on Shibata Hibiki (Aiba's character). (If you are Aiba's fan or Donghae's fan or both, then please read this!!!)

 

Personality:

At the beginning of Panda and Hedgehog, Seung Ji is shown to be a jerk (not much though) that he was chasing the guy for not giving him the money. For Cafe Daikanyama first movie, Hibiki is shown to be a bit rude to the new guy (Baba Tooru) and continue to do so. (Sometimes, I wish Aiba can play the jerk- character for a few times since his characters are usually narcissist, goofy or a smart- person). Though later, they both have character development that they turned into a nice and kind (sometimes) character.

 

Relationship around the other main characters:

Seung Ji does have a tiny complicated relationship with everyone else while Hibiki have a few times complicated relationship with everyone else. Again, I might need to do more research about the show (Panda and Hedgehog) and the movie (Cafe Daikanyama).

 

Clothing:

Seung Ji does sometimes wear a passtiser uniform (though in the show, Seung Ji doesn't have a red necktie around his neck) while Hibiki also do the same. Heck, they even wear the tuxedo although it is different tuxedo.

 

 

Backstory:

Their dark past turned them to be different person after their incidents with their parents. Their parents are no longer to be seen with them when they were just a kid. They even ran away from the gangsters that they are trying to hurt them. Heck, they even run faster than anyone.

 

Relationship with the old person (the original master of the cafe and Seung Ji's grandfather):

In the second movie of Cafe Daikanyama, Hibiki is shown carrying the old man after he fell down on the oranges that he helped Hibiki. At first, Hibiki was a bit angry at the old man for trying to help him but eventually, he gained respect for him and that's why he is the leader of this cafe. Seung Ji's grandfather took care of him but Seung Ji does not respect him. However, inside Seung Ji's heart, he actually respect his grandfather.

 

But, there are a few differences about these two.

1. Seung Ji's normal clothing is more loosey shirt (that expose his collarbone) and jeans but does not wear necklace (the male one) while Hibiki's normal clothing is more of cool dude consists of jackets (have sleevess shirt and sometimes a regular t-shirt inside the jacket) and cargo pants (sometimes jeans as well) but does wear necklace.

2. Seung Ji have a romantic relationship with a female lead (Pan-da who I think she might have a lack of character development) while Hibiki doesn't (though he has fangirls all over him).

3. Hibiki is shown to be the owner of the previous master's café while Seung Ji doesn't though he does help some people.

4. Seung Ji's parents were pretty bad as his mother was seen getting arrested and went inside the police car while his father beat him up as a child while Hibiki's parents have passed away as he witnessed them as a child.

5. In the ending of Panda and Hedgehog, Seung Ji is shown to be the new employee of the new bakery (after he was recovered from head injury he had) while the ending of Cafe Daikanyama 3, Hibiki went to Paris to fulfill his dream. (Either dancing career or passtiser career, up to you guys).
