Usually when it's hot, she just puts on a simple outfit ex. blue shorts with a loose tank top. She loves tied up her hair. And just some simple converse or jordans are fine with her. She's really laid back. When she's going out she wears shorts and long sleeves or skiny jeans and tucked in T-shirt. If it's an event, she wears a simple pink or blue dress, with a flower head band. If she's just going to the park or just out with the girls, she wears a skirt with a T-shirt tucked in.

 Don't eat that! Yah! No jumping on the couch! " Hyunjoo can be really motherly. She makes sure everyone is having fun and is on track. She is known to be The Leader's Little Helper. She is the one in the group, who everyone can depend on. When they are feeling sad or they just need a shoulder to lean on, she would always be there. The members love her hugs, because it feels like a mothers hug. When they need a shoulder to lean on, she would be there to snuggle up with them and rub their backs. When they miss their families, she would make some desserts and homemade food ( well..... like noodles or simple beef rice bowl ). When they need someone to just listen to them, she would be the first one there with a batch of chocolate chop cookies, warm milk, a big blanket, 2 fluffy pillows, and the movie ' Lion king'.

" Hyunnie Oppa! " Hyunjoo is like a boy at most times. She can be lazy and laidback at times. She is considered the boy of the group, because she acts like one. She doesn't really like the color pink because it's really flashy. She acts like a tomboy most of the time, acting cute, isn't really her thing. She cringes a lot, and loves to play video games. She is really into dancing and video games more than boy would like video games. Boys in Korea loves sports, well Hyunju loves Sports more than them. She will literly curse at everyone when she's watching a game. Other's would think she's a innocent girly  girl but she's the opposite. She knows her sports and video games. 

" Aniya ! Unnie's mine !" Hyunjoo can be childish and really bubbly at times. She doesn't like it when one of her members or close trainees friends are with others. She will purposely go grab them and take them away. She is really clingy to her older unnies, when they weren't training. She loves being on the older trainee's backs because she likes the fact that she now taller. She loves it when she is babied by the unnies because it means that they pay attention to her. She isn't really a person who likes getting attention but if it's from her unnies, it's fine. 

" Yo The Names Joo as in HyunJoo, yo " When she wasn't training, she was really nice and dorky. she was considered one of the most kindest person on earth. most people would be really shocked if they found out she was one of the mood makers in the group. she isn't all that mean or scary, that's only if she's really stressed out or if she feels like she had to step up her game. when the trainees or members are feeling down, she would purposly make a bad pun joke, just to make them laugh. all the members know that she is one of the nicest member in the group and one of the meanest members. she loves messing with the others to the point they are stressed out by her pranks. she is one of the youngest members of the group, so she is has to have some fun for the meantime.

" annyeong, my name is hyunjoo, you must be..." her first impression is like a robot. it's like she knows all the answeres and will answer them less than 2 seconds. she wants her first impression to be nice and that others would know that she isn't mean. the other trainees sometimes make fun of her first impression because it reminds them of a robot. they are really monotoned and know every question given to them. she doesn't like it when others ask her a question and she doesn't know the answer, so she practices every question there might be in the world.

" can you leave me alone? i just need some time by myself " hyunjoo can be depressed at times. she is insecure about her height. compared to other idols born 1998, she is like a midget. other trainees like to make fun of her height at times, because she's always tip toeing to reach some snacks on the shelf. she hates it when people make fun of her height. others don't know that she has that insecurity because she's so playful and calm. when she sees someone her age, really taller than her, she turns depressed. around her friends, her friends are only an inch taller than her so it's fine with her. but when she see's someone taller than her, older or younger, she feels  small and weak.. 

background: Hyunjoo was born Choi Hyunjoo, in Daegu, South Korea. She has an older brother, who is also an idol in Seventeen.Her dad is a business agent and her mother is ballet teacher, her parents were always busy with their schdules, so she would be left alone at home with her older brother, Seungcheol. Hyunjoo was basically raised up by Seungcheol, unfortunately. She was raised in Daegu, almost all of her life. When she was 6, she took piano and clarinet lessons. She was always a fast music learner because of her brother, who had the same interest as her. She took Martial Arts when she was 8, and got her black belt when she was 12. She learned how to build teamwork when she was doing Martial Arts, because you have to work togeotehr to take down the other team!- I mean have a fair play with the others. She was taught ballet for a year, but dropped out because her teacher was too harsh on her. Which was her mother. 

When her brother left to go train in Seoul, she was a bit sad because he wasn't going to be by her side anymore. But she still congradulated him and wished him the best. 2 years after he left, there was a auditioning in Daegu. She asked her parents if she could audition despite she was only 13.Her mother disagreed but her father aproved. Her mother was a bit disapointed but let her go to the audition. Hyunju loved music and wanted to audition to become an idol but at the time she thought of it as an advantage to see her brother. Once she auditioned, she got in and immediately started training in Seoul. The lifestyle in Seoul was a bit hard for her. She went to school in Seoul and didn't tell her brother about her being a trainee. She wastched all his predebut videos a.k.a 'Seventeen Tv'. It was amusing to her. She told him when she was training for a year. 

He was a bit mad because she didn't tell him but he was happy for her.  Hyunjoo made many friends and got along with the trainees. Hyunjoo now attends Seoul Broadcasting High School with her bestfriends.

— Best Friends. Kim Byulhee. 17. Dorky, shy, quiet, and weird. They are like two peas in a pod.  When they are together, they are the loudest people in the universe. They tease eachother a lot. She is close to the Choi family because her father is close friends with Hyunju's father. Byulhee had also grown up with Hyunju and Seungcheol. 
   

— Close Friends. Lee Jihoon. 19.Strict, nice, sweet, and protective. They met through Seungcheol. Jihoon treats her like his little sister even though they are the same height. The only reason how they became close friends because they share the same interest, which is music.  
   
— Close Friends. Jung Yein. 17. Dorky,extorverted, adorbs, and awesome. When Yein was new to the company, Hyunjoo was the first person to approach her. They became good friends after that day. They joke around a lot and hug eachother. Yein loves treating hyunjoo as a kid because she is a kid.

their story: They met at school. Hyunjoo was walking out of the main room, after the annoucemnet from the principle and the vice principle. She made her past everyone,who was also getting out. She was on her way to her homeroom when someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned to see a boy slightly taller than her. 

" Excuse me, but can you help me find my homeroom, I'm new to the school " He asked her as he rubbed the back of his neck, nervously.

" Oh...Sure, 3rd year as well?" Hyunjoo asked as she smiled at him. He nodded and gave her his schedule. She looked at it before speaking. " C-9, We have the same homeroom, So you're the newbie " She chuckled as he confusing nodded,

She made a gesture for him to follow her. Once they arrived, he bowed and smiled. " Thanks. My name is Boo Seungkwan " He said as she bowed back. " You're welcome, and the names HyunJoo. Choi Hyunjoo " She introduced as they walked inside the classroom,

Everyone looked at the two, as Hyunjoo awkwardly waved to them." We don't have assigned seats, so feel free " Hyunjoo told him. She went to sit down, as he followed her. She sat down as he sat next to her.

" You can go sit where you want to. You don't have to sit next to me if you don't want" She told him as he shook his head.

" Naw, I like it here. Plus, it's next to you" He said as her cheeks turned red. He chuckled as she griped her backback, deciding whether to calm down or get up and throw her chair at him.

Interactions: They act like siblings. They mess around with eachother. Seungkwan is really protective over her. He doesn't like it when other boys are around her except s. Hyunjoo loves teasing him because his reactions are funny. When they are in public, they act like close friends or classmates but when they are alone, they act like married couples. They occationally hug and hold hands. They have been dating for about a year already. The only time they actually sct like a real couple is when they around the Seventeen members and the girls. Seungkwan likes to sing to Hyunjoo because he claims that if a man sings to a girl personally, it means that he really loves her. Hyunjoo is shy around him usually because he's a dork.

Because they are busy with their schedules, they don't see eachother often, They usually text eachother or call eachother to make sure evreything's alright. They try to make time with eachother but it's pretty hard.

trainee life: Hyunjoo got in during mid -june. She was 13. She danced to Boa's 'Eat u up'. She was immdeately put in as a trainee through her first audition.She was a bit hesitatant about training but decided to give it a try. Just like a brother, she developed her love for music. There were times she wanted to give up because she was too stressed from school and training. But her brother was always there to tell her to keep on going. She got along with most of the trainees because she didn't want to be left out. She was one of the nicest trainees and the meaniest. When she was training, friend or not, you are going to work as hard aws everyone. She was like a girl version of Woozi

Sometimes after training, she would buy the trainees ice cream to make it up for snapping at them. Most people would think that she's really nice or really mean, but in truth she justs wants you to help you succeed in life. She had an inury on her lef before. She had put too much pressure on her left leg and her muscles couldn't take it anymore. She couldn't dance or walk for a month. She turned a bit sad because she thought she could never dance again.She always showed up for her other lessons and helped the other trainees practice. She would sit infront of them and instruct them. After a month, she came back and had to get used to her leg.But over time, it became better and she became more brighter.

- Hyunjoo forced to do aegyo because she lost the game, which was ' Spoon '. They made her do the ' I dreamed of a ghost' aegyo. She collapses on the ground after wards just silently juding herself.
