thankfully doesn't look like a "mom" when hanging out with her son, more like an older sister, she is also obsessed with antiaging as she doesn't want to look old. she has stretchmarks on her belly and from her pregnancy but she doesn't treat it saying her soulmate should love her for who she is.

PERSONALITY :
you could easily describe ruri as someone with incredible friendliness, she greets everyone on the streets, and never forget her manners of saying please and thank you, and the elders always complimented her on her respectful nature. her classmates and friends, had always complimented her on her ability to make everyone in class good friends very quick due to her just naturally funny personality, such as everything she says ended up coming out funny even if she didn't mean it. extremely cheerful, some people call her a duck because of this side of her, of never shutting up. extremely tough, she doesn't mind taking on the world if it's for her son, not to mention she is a brave lady, as she doesn't mind having the attention of being a teenage single mother, she dares taking on the world for her son. never mind monsters under the bed, she will take on anything if it means her son is happy. naturally kind, kids just generally like her, she loves giving money to people on the streets, even when she doesn't have much money on her. another bright side of her is her loving nature, she developed since her son was born, she sees everything in a loving manner, with love in her eyes.
though not really annoying but not really the best part of her, most of these traits aren't definitely one to boast about but not one to toss in trash either. she is extremely loud, with a habit of speaking with a extremely volume, to call on her kindergarten kids, this habit spreaded on to her daily life, as she not-so-indirectly speaks with extremely loud volume all day everyday due to a habit of talking to her kids. extremely independent she is someone who will work hard for herself and her son, she doesn't want easy money as she wants to show her son that "hey, your mom is good too! follow me" so she works her off even if that means she is tired 24/7. generally on the frugal side, she always brings a calculator whenever she's shopping this side of her not many people know, but she has a habit of counting her money, sometimes they call her money granny, a bit on the realistic side of life, she knows the boundaries between reality and fantasy and is a bit skeptical about the red string of fate, if anything.
ruri's life was generally normal up to the moment when she is 16. until then, ruri was generally a small and happy kid, with lots of energy, with almost the same personality, just a tad bit on the selfish side, as she used to be someone who is a bit spoiled. an only child, ruri is raised with lots of love and care, and with that personality no doubt she would grow up to be popular. she had always been a rebel though, as the more you forbid her to do something, the more she will do the thing herself, and that's generally the thing that would lead to her demise, as a girl.
when she was at the age of 16, a bit on the wild and party girl side, she never had a committed boyfriend, she changes her partner everynight, refusing to believe in the red string of fate because she claimed that this one piece of red string would never lead me to one true love as whatever the love is, there's no way in hell it'd happen to me, or so she claims. when ruri found out she was pregnant, that's when everything had spiraled for the worst. her then nice parents immediately disown her, to say that no one supported her was an understatement, as at that time, the world seemed to go against her. naturally, she was afraid. she's young, lonely, jobless, she doesn't even know who the father is, she changes bed partner everyday, though all those guys she had slept with are hot guys though, so at least there's hope of good genes but still. she's young, she doesn't know anything. to say she freak out was way an understatement, she panicked, a lot.
the moment she told her parents, they instantly forced her to pack up. from the small town she grew up in, in one night, everything changed as her parents forced her to pack up and go. she was angry, she thought love meant loving someone regardless of anything so shouldn't the fact that she, carrying a child made them love her more? she couldn't help but to be pissed, so she decided with the amount of her saving, to run away. to seoul. she never knew why, the only amount of money she had with her at that time was about as much as she have in her bank account, a laptop, and a portable wifi, along with her clothes and phone, packed with just that she ran away to seoul.
the moment she arrived at the train she immediately searched for online high school, and enrolled in a free course one, as she believes she would need education for her money. she wants that whatever is on her tummy to live nicely, and she'll work her off to make that happen. it is undeniable that the trip to seoul is enough to turn her from a childish 16 year old to a mature one with plans on life. she arrived in seoul with no accommodation though, so she decided to stay in hotel for one night.
the next morning, she woke up and went on to find some jobs. all jobs rejected her, as she doesn't want to work part time, and most thinks with her degree, she is useless. she visited 15 different stores, and got rejected each time, and was depressed. sitting around in an empty swing set, she cried thinking about what the hell she had gotten herself into, and that's when she met the manager of nobi nobi kindergarten, a kind lady who approached her asking her what's wrong. she doesn't know why but she feels safe with this lady, telling her everything, the lady empathize her, and told her to work as a teacher in her kindergarten, along with a discount on accommodation in a neigbouring apartment of her friend, with an additional bonus of a free nine months until her child was born, telling her she needs to save up for her child, she cried and hugged the lady, and was a hardworker all day everyday in nobi nobi kindergarten.
the birth of her child was thankfully quick and painless, with the nobi nobi manager holding her hand and supporting her each counting moments of her pushing the baby out of her. at 28th april of 2011, her son was born, and that's when her bundle of joy arrived, and at that time, she could've sworn that everything in life suddenly made sense, that all the tears she'd shed during her moments in seoul, everything, had made sense.
ruri and her son now lives in a studio apartment comfortably, earning enough to eat hanwoo at least once every month. her neighbour is a dorky music teacher named park chanyeol who her son loves to visit just to see him playing guitar. she went to work at about 7:30 as that's when parents started sending off their child to the kindergarten. she would love to work earlier, but as she needs to also prepare her child, that's about as far as she can go. she prepares herself and dabin off together, and the two of them will leave for the kindergarten together. there she will meet other kindergarten teachers, and together all of them will set out the classroom and plan the activities for the day.
she doesn't work out, as she thinks playing with kids is enough of a work out already, and she usually went home at about 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. when she went home she will continue her online education to study about early childhood and elementary education and at 06:00 she will cook dinner, than after that she will shower dabin off, and tucked him into bed and continue studying until 10:00 or sometimes 10:30 depending on how much work she needs to do that day.

the best side of haru is most definitely his strong loyalty for whatever he believes in. though he never dated anyone before, all his friends knew him as the guy who will stay with them through thick and thin no matter what happened. a responsible guy, he will never run away if he ed some things up, such as apologizing to clients when his surgery failed, and won't mind a little bit of a scolding, for he knows it's his fault. extremely dependable, you can count on him for anything for if he says something, or more, if he promises on something, he will, never on his life, break it. like an extreme "over my dead body" kind of person, he will do anything if it meant his promises are never broken. a bit protective, he cares for his friends a lot. though he's a tough egg to crack, once you crack his outer shell and became his friend, he would dare risk his life to protect you, though not many managed to get up to this stage. a hidden talent of him is his problem solving nature, which was especially shown during times he spent with ruri, as he claimed that it felt like taking care of two child for her clumsiness. he started getting used to it, and knew how to handle ruri's clumsiness, such as knowing where her misplaced stuff are.
a unique, neutral side of haru was definitely, mostly lies on his quietness. being in one room with him was extremely tough as even if you tried to start conversations, his replies are limited with "oh" and "ok" or generally everything not more than a word or two. his main squad had started to learn to deal with this though, as turns out he is quiet a good listener. also on the err side of being painfully shy, he is not the type to approach strangers on the streets, as his heart would beat too loudly for that to happen. is a member of the strict and straight laced gang, he is well known for his rule abiding nature, though it is a neutral trait, as some people don't like this side of his, even if the government definitely likes it. a traditional minded person, he believes in the first time you date, you should marry, therefore, he never even had his first kiss, a tough shell to crack, he doesn't really follow the rules of the modern world and act like a guy from thousands of years ago sometimes.
there really is a reason why the nurses and patient called him the ice doctor, because there's simply no one else in this world that can be as cold as him. he is extremely unemotional, never getting attached to one patient, and as tight laced as she is, had ignored thousands of dates from girls who wanted to date him, and it's not rare he rejected them rather rudely. he unknowingly has this intimidating aura around him, one that demands respect. no one really knows why but the way he carries himself with an air of intimidation, it's not rare he made kiddy patient cries. a bit condescending, he knows he is superior, a prodigy surgeon at the age of 24, and sometimes people dislike him for it. extremely dense, he is the type of guy who won't get it until you say you like him right on his face. his closest friends call him tsundere sometimes because he has a habit of bullying the people he loves while actually having a heartbeat attack when he sees them
obviously, haru who was shocked, straighten himself up, before he noticed the way their strings seemed to connect, though he doesn't care about it at that time, he ran towards her, and put her hand over , before he opened his.
and boy did ruri received a scolding "you should be quiet and don't bother the patient, have you ever thought that you're in the pediatrics department? kids easily woke up you know? you're giving tons of chores to their caretaker!" and what not. ruri just stayed silent, admitting her faults, as myungsoo evidently tried to calm both of them down but to no avail.
when he left and everything was quiet, and she finally opened to speak to myungsoo, he told her he was her soulmate, and as shocked and as jealous myungsoo is, he decided to smiled caringly at her, and lead her to his office for the two of them to have a civil talk. after that, she took him for dinner the next day, and that's when the two finally talked everything off.
the first one who fall in love was ruri, but the one who fall deeper was haru, he commented saying he regretted not loving anyone before ruri so all of his heart is hers, and he was a bit negative, and attached to her, as he doesn't want his heart to break, if anything. when ruri started falling for haru, myungsoo mentioned that about half the girl in the hospital have a crush on him, and no, it's not an understatement. even if he's cold, there still are some girls who would date him for his looks and his money, though myungsoo added saying he always rejected all of their advances, this makes ruri freaks out even more, afraid he will reject her too. her spirit was thanks too myungsoo who told her that she's not useless, and she could get him if she tried, said the gods above, cheekily, in which ruri, inspired by myungsoo, decided to approach haru, and thanks to myungsoo's encouragement and ruri's natural personality, they became friends in 100 days, and dated after the 300.
haru's problem solving nature was developed since his times was spent with ruri and dabin. especially since ruri misplaces things a lot, though they stayed in different places, he know where ruri would misplaces her items more than ruri herself. he knew her proneness to accident such as accidentally losing her couple ring in a bubble bath when they decided to go on a hotel vacation together, and almost instantly knew where the ring fell, which amazing was an understatement, as the bath was covered in bubbles.
ruri's power to make him feel comfortable was also to be credited, as hospital stuff now stopped calling him the ice king, as though he still never smiled, he became a bit more gentler, and kids no longer cried around him, in fact, some approached him. what used to be a stoic face who rarely smiles, now he just can't seem to stop smiling when doing skinship with ruri, which was extremely rare as ruri is too lazy to initiate and haru is always shy in everything.
haru's prankster nature was also shown around ruri, as sometimes in their bulgogi date, haru would feed ruri a beef wrap with a full pepper, and ruri would feel haru a beef wrap with literal piece of garlic in which the two would suffer together, though after, haru would feed her milkshake he ordered while they laughed together. haru would also, buy ruri and dabin hanwoo, though there's no exact number of how much he bought it for them, it's definitely more than he should, though he loved doting on dabin as if he's his own son.
on the skinship side, they were extremely awkward as ruri, as brave as she is, would prefer not to things up with haru, and haru, as dense as he is, would ignore ruri's sometimes obvious trials of trying to approach him. surprising, yes, but even if they'd been dating for 2 years and countring, they never went above anything beyond a kiss, which they have only in very rare occassions, as both of them are too awkward to make the move.
1. myungsoo, haru, dabin, misoo and ruri on a bungee jumping date together, and the kids requested them to do bungee jumping together, misoo wanted myungsoo x ruri, and haru, being jealous, wanted to do one with her instead, when myungsoo carried ruri he laughed saying she's as light as a feather, in which haru, replied calmly "what kind of feather weighs 53kg?" and myungsoo can't hold his laughter
