C'est si bon.

C’est si bon.

For you there’s nothing, nothing I won’t do
I will catch the stars and put them in your hands.

SPOILER ALERT.

Ces't si bon is a good movie with great idea and Jung Woo’s wonderful performance. The movie is overall good but without the twist—or is it the main idea(?)—the movie would have ended up as an okay watch for me. First, I think, the movie is not clear enough about its main intention. I mean, what’s really the focus? At first, it’s the group, then it shifts to our third member—Oh Geun Tae—and it turns out that everything leads to the twist and the focus is actually about the protagonist’s romance.

The result is I don’t get the movie as a whole. I love Oh Geun Tae but what’s the other character do? A great movie with group as its main focus will make you fall in love with everyone (Reply 1994) but again, is this really a group movie? Then again, I realize that at first we will think that this movie will show Geun Tae’s relationship with other members, but Geun Tae is not even that close with them. He is the closest with their producers/songwriter. I think the movie is lacking clearness and focus.

But this is still a ‘great’ movie and that mostly because what happens in the end. I am not going to spoil the twist but the idea greatness’ goes something like this: for a woman to make a man ruin his life for her is an interesting watch (Nice Guy) but for a woman to make a man ruin his life and to make him ruin his friends’ life is another level of greatness. What makes it more heartbreaking is Jung Woo’s wonderful, beautiful, heartwrenching performance.

In a scene where he was crying after what he does, I literally cry with him while telling me not to cry like that. He is just.. so, talented. (Oh, how I wish he has more projects). Again the thought of Geun Tae’s sincerity is just so heartbreaking. He doesn’t even do it to show Min how much he loves her, he just loves her like that. It is frustrating in a really, really, good way. Geun Tae is a wonderful character. He is innocent, sincere, and somehow those wonderfulness create flaw on him.

C’est si bon will be a movie that remains in my heart and the idea behind the movie will haunt me for at least three days forward. Another form of tragedy which works so well for me is not only the tragedy that cause one to suffer but when one ends up not having the happiness that actually is for him (The Classic). C’est si bon hurts and it still hurts.

VERDICT:
I want you to suffer the same. Watch it.

I will sing to you for the rest of my days.

random:
I do think that Jung Woo’s has Kyuhyun eyes. He resemblances Kyuhyun in some scene moreover with his hair downs in bang like that and especially in scene when he is confessing.
