Freak Alert random scene
A.N. I got a little bored so I decided to just write something for an idea that has been in my draft for a while now. Although I don't know whether I'll be writing this story in the future for an actual novel or a fan-fiction, I just wrote this scene randomly at no chronology whatsoever. Please enjoy!
P.S. I hope to be able to post a side story on Luhan (based on the character in my drafted story "Freak Alert") called "My Inner Angel and Devil" by Halloween (31st Oct) so stay tuned for that! ^^
"I guess I'm just in love with Minseok... There's no reason to be honest, like- he's not what I would call my type. He's not handsome and he's not charismatic. But I seriously don't know why I love him." Luhan confessed to the group, feeling a little annoyed at this new feeling and unfamiliar situation.
Jongin hummed for a while and thought about it before remarking, “Maybe it's because he's normal, and you're not really normal. That's why you're attracted to him?"
Luhan sighed, shaking his head furiously and said, “No, no, no... Not at all! That's ridiculous! Otherwise I would've fallen in love with 90% of the school population by now. There's just something about him that I really like... But I can't seem to put my finger on it. And anyways, he isn't normal either-
Lay added, “Yeah, no one is really normal. At least that's what makes me sleep at night." He chuckled softly and continued to poke the air with his fingers.
Jongin tilted his head and replied, “But everyone says we're not normal and that they're normal... Isn't that right, Sehun?" Sehun just nodded as he quietly listened while sitting comfortably next to Jongin.
Kris decided to join in the conversation to clear Jongin's misconception by saying, “Well not for us three! Everyone is different, so everyone is gonna be not normal to other people because of their differences. It's just that... maybe our differences are a lot bigger in scale than most, that's why everyone else thinks we're not normal. In actuality, everyone isn't normal to some extent."
Jongin was still doubtful and asked once more, “What about a really typical boring plain guy? Wouldn't he be normal?”
Lay just laughed out loud and Kris responded, “Oh you're so cute, Jongin! Then he would be abnormal for being too normal!"
Both Sehun and Jongin looked equally puzzled and muttered a 'what' underneath their breaths while the three of them laughed.
Sehun then asked, “What the hell is normal anyways?”
Luhan replied quickly before Kris or Lay could, “Let's not go there or we'll all be here till we turn 100."
Realizing the possible endlessness of the topic, they closed the topic without needing to say a word at all.
