Any bookworms around?

Since this place is b with authors, I'm pretty sure I'd find many bookworms among them. So, I was wondering...What's your favorite Classic Romance novel? I'm asking because I'd like some suggestions to read something that I mightn't have already read. *I'm asking for Classic Romance. for example Pride and Prejudice. I've already read that a million times over but just giving an example hoping for recommendations on those lines ^^* Thanks in advance <3 ~

OMG I wasn't expecting to find so many book lovers here! I've already read Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre and I totally understand why so many of you mentioned it. I loved it too!! But I see quite a few names I haven't read so I'm gonna check them out! Thanks for the recommendations and you can keep more of them coming. I'm always open to book recommendations and you can recommend me as many as you want. There's never anything called 'enough' when it comes to reading <3

I enjoyed the bbc dramatization of Elizabeth gaskill (i think i mispellt her surname) North and south. I had tried reading the book but it was more about the social commentary of the industrialization rather the romance. You get the romance in the tv drama though :)

A lot of people here are sating Jane Eyre - I loved it too, it's quite famous so you've probably already read it.
I'm not sure if 'I Capture the Castle' counts as a classic, it was published in 1948, but I loved that book, towards the end there was a twist I did not see coming at all.
But if you're talking books like Pride and Prejudice... Have you read 'Far From the Madding Crowd'? It's not my favourite, but I quite liked it, despite the fact that I found Bathsheba annoying at times -_-, but I thought the end was satisfying. Or maybe Tess of the D'ubervilles. Both of those are both by Thomas Hardy - he was a poet before a writer but his description is so detailed and vivid, even if his books were boring I'd still be intellectually interested with his writing.

Did you read 'Emma' ? I kinda hated her personality but I liked the novel (I read it like 4 years back so I don't remember much) there is Jane Eyre but I think you read it if not I really recommend it. My friend have been telling me to read 'the scarlet letter' for almost a year now lol I didn't read it yet but If she recommend it for me then its really good :p

I'm not sure if Wuthering Heights counts as "romantic" but I don't lie when I say it's a great book
