Craft #78-79: A feather pendant + a cheese board + how to get direct image url from imgur

Last Thursday evening, our Life Group invited members of the Prophetic Arts team in our church. And after the lesson, we soaked and applied what we learned. I received a drawing of a blue feather floating on purple wisps. The message inside read: "Do not worry. You are under your Father's wings. He will give rest to your tired body. He wipes every tear and worries in your heart. Rest, daughter, rest."

(Prophetic Arts is not fortune telling btw ^^)

I call this season of my life, my season of waiting - waiting for a job opening, waiting for opportunities... And even though you don't see me complaining about it here, I am really stressed with the lack of options. See, I can't just apply for any job. I have to consider my mother's wishes - it has to be related to genetics/research and must be one step up from researcher level. She is the source of my stress right now with all her questions and nagging and criticisms... Dad's pretty chill about it and told me to be patient. Well, my mother can drive the most patient person to madness. Sigh. So you can see how I needed someone to tell me those words.

And so the next morning (yesterday), I made the polymer clay version of it.

My unnie, the one I mentioned in the previous post who celebrated her birthday recently, broke my smial. I showed it to her and she accidentally dropped it -_- My heart dropped along with it. Fortunately, only the tree was broken. It detached itself from the smial and a branch broke. There's no saving it after so many tries. And so for the rest of the afternoon, I made the pink leaves. But I got sleepy and when I woke up the sun had already set -_-

While the tree (for me) requires heavy mental and finger work, the other projects in my list are manageable. I've been wanting to make a cheese and grape platter or board for a long time now. And I am so happy when I checked out ThisCharmingStuff's channel. I tried to follow the tutorial but in the end I just winged it. HAHA! Also, I didn't have a popsicle stick for the board so I used tan clay.

 Changes in Imgur

If you upload multiple images in imgur, you'd notice that the format changed. And so here's just a simple gif animation on how get the direct image url/link of an image:

(View image in another tab)

Just hover your cursor over the image and the symbol with three dots/circle will appear. Point your mouse over it and the links menu will appear.

A reminder: make sure the link has an image extension (.jpg, .png, .gif) for it to work here in AFF

(This will be included in my AFF newbie guide eventually.)

Love the feather. I'll display the cheese among my collection, prominently in front. Love it!!!
