Descending Plot line?

Hey there guys! Uhmm you see, I'm kind of having a dillema here. I'm about to post a Taekook story here and it's kind-of angsty (I don't know if "kind-of" fits for a description in this story because it's mostly sad and I don't know why I'm gonna write this, I don't even read angst) and the thing is, the story may or may not have a descending plot line.

It's like a big BOOM in the first chapter then slowly descend and hopefully-possibly another BOOM but not that huge as the first one.

I don't know if I'm ready to take the risk AGAIN because I already tried and failed completely and decided to discontinue it. so is it alright? Or should I change the plot and just move the first chapter to somewhere in the middle and make it a kind of flashback? I know I should decide this on my own but I tend to regret every decision I make so I really need your opinion. Also, I really really really want to finish this upcoming fic, and not discontinue it like all my other stories, amidst my packed schedule.

If you are going to make a past event a mystery until later in the story you are going to need to be very good hinting at before hand. You have to write just enough so people know something happened in the past but not so little they forget about it before the reveal and not so much they can guess it. You'll know you are doing a good job if you start getting comments like "I wonder what happened" or "I bet what happened was" but again if what ever the event is, is so big the characters constantly are talking around or about it without saying exactly what it was then it might get annoying to readers if you drag out the reveal.
