Eirin is like the sun; she burns.
From afar she's warm and nice but if you get too close, she will burn you to ashes. Eirin strive for success in everything she does and she will make sure she get what she want and if you're in the way, she will shove you aside without caring if you fell into a Piranha - filled lake or off a 30 story tall building. It's not like she's unfriendly, in face she's actually a relatively social person, it's just that her ultimate goal in life is success and she know for a fact that relationship will get in the way of that.
Money can't buy happiness ? Bull. Give the money to Eirin and she will show you how it's done. "Money makes the world go around," she opined. Although many people have called her out for being shallow, she gave them no mind because if it wasn't for her ambition to be rich and successful, she wouldn't even be where she is right now. She wants the money, the fame, the glamour and she knew that after acquiring all of that, she'll get the happiness as a bonus.
Another one of the flaw is that she's really quick-tempered. Argue with her, tell her that she's wrong, tell her that she's not good enough and expect to live a living hell until you apologise to her. She doesn't slap, she doesn't bite back, she will plan out a full revenge plan that you cannot prove to be hers and will carry it out until she hear you utter an apology to her. On the bright side, it is easy for her to forgive although I can't say the same for forgetting.
She's not really the most loyal person you'll meet but she's not exactly a back stabber either. She feels indifference for relationship and because of that she's always a neutral party when people around her are arguing with each other. When you tell her a secret and make he promise not to spill it out, she won't but if you forget the promise part, she'll spill the bean as soon as someone else ask for it. That's the kind of 'friend' Eirin is.
Although friendship is not really her thing, when she come to respect someone, it's a different story. She respect people who respect her and when she respect someone, she will do good at them. Although she will still care more about her life goal, she will come to offer her hand when you're in need.

A good trait she has is originality. There is nothing Eirin dislike more than being common. She always have a talent for making something her own. This is more apparent in her musical and fashion taste. She like listening to variety of different genre of music, from classical to trap and she also like to mix and match her clothing, I mean, who else wear trainers with dress?

Eirin was born and raised in Japan, where she spent the first 15 years of her life. Her father is a Japanese man working for the Ministry of Health while her mother is a South Korean businesswoman. During one of her mother's many business trips, she met Eirin's father and it wasn't quite love at first sight since one of the earliest memory her mother had of her father involves coffee spilling all over her white blouse at a Japanese cafe where they had a talk about something involving their works. However, they fell in love after a few more of similar business related cafe dates.
One night after such date, her mother went to her father's apartment and well, stuff happened. Around two months after that, Eirin's mother realised she was pregnant. She went back to Japan to hunt down the man responsible for it and much to her surprise, her father was actually happy to see her mother again and also to hear about the child she bore. After much talk, they decided to get married. Four months away from the delivering date, Eirin's mother was worried because her stomach size was bigger than average. A visit to the doctor and she found out that she wasn't pregnant of one but two babies.
Eirin was born three minutes before her fraternal twin brother who was later named Akari . They grew up rather normally in Japan but as small children they learnt to speak Korean through their mother who tutor them almost every night. However, starting at the age of 9, they were both sent to a Korean language tuition instead. In order to keep them from forgetting their Korean root, every summer break, they visit their mother's family back in South Korea.
Both Eirin and Akari knew at a very young age that they are going to be rich and successful in life. They knew it and they will make sure their life is going to go according to plan. Failure is absent from their vocabulary but they both had very different plans to achieve their life goal. Akari, who had always been the smarter one of the twin, lust for knowledge and planned to go up the ladder by becoming something that is academically superior; like a doctor or a lawyer but Eirin lusted for fame and recognition. She wanted all the glamour in this world and so, she decided to be an entertainer. Initially she was going to be an actress and had auditioned for a few roles in Japan but she quickly realised that acting wasn't for her and so she shifted to singing instead.
She's got a decent voice but she didn't want to be an idol in Japan, mostly because her genre of choice (jazz and r&b) wouldn't fit weoll with the rock-craze Japan at that time. Around the same time she started training herself to be a singer, she was introduced to K-pop and she feel so hard in love with it. At age 14, she begged her parents to fly her to South Korea. It wasn't after a promise of a year worth of doing chores without complain and bribing her brother to help her move and also various promises to improve her grades, that her parents finally allowed her to move in with her grandma and grandpa back in South Korea.
Because of the difference in education between Korean and Japanese schools, Eirin was emitted into an International school at 15 years old. She struggled with the lessons at first because they were all taught in English but luckily, she found herself a Japanese friend who was willing to translate to her and also tutor her English. She tried all she can to enter an entertainment company and finally, after participating in her school's talent show, a stranger in suit and tie gave her a card and told her to audition for SM.
She was accepted into the company after her first audition and as she begun her training, she promised herself that she's going to debut and be the hottest new artist and nothing and nobody is going to stand in her way.
While training under sm entertainment, she wasn't very close to anyone but she didn't try to make enemy either because she was a workaholic to the bone, caring only about improving her skills but if she have to be with other trainee (such as being paired up in a group evaluation), she tried her best to get along with her partner(s) because she know that dispute will only bring failure to the group.

Despite being a workaholic trainee, eirin took good care of her body, in term of food intake and exercise.
The only reason she would miss going to the company's gym is either to practise, she's needed by the sm staff or she's sick. Her neutral (leading toward the hate but not quite) relationship she had with other trainee was very similar to her relationship with her coaches, although they tend to understand eirin better and take less offence.
After being notified that she was going to debut as a solo artist, she was over the moon, she felt like she couldn't be happier. She phoned her brother, telling him that she did it! and soon after that she phoned her parents to tell the happy news. She was so uncharacteristically happy that people were actually concerned and crept out by her when she turned up to the company the next day giving out homemade cookies and complementing every trainees she sat her eyes upon.
The most surprised was bohye, of coursed, since eirin just appeared out of nowhere and immediately hugged her saying; "oh bohye, I'm going to miss your snappy remarks and torments toward other trainees," with a genuine smile on her face.
When the news of her debut being canceled reached her, it was like her whole world shattered into pieces. She swore that the moment those words came out of the producer's mouth, she could've killed somebody. Upon hearing that she was to debut under a girlgroup instead, she calmed down a little bit but still, she was furious because of her failed debute and the appearance of four other es she had to compete for the spotlight with.
She was so furious that day, she burnt the pictures of herself that had been given to her from the album's photoshoot and she broke the original copy of her cd and threw it away.

Q. You probably mentioned this in your background already, but would you describe how you got into SM Entertainment and how you got chosen to be in Pinocchio?
→ I got an invitation to audition for SM after performing in my school's talent show. After my first audition, I recieved a call telling me that starting tomorrow onward, I am a trinee in SM. I was promised by the CEO that I'll debute as a soloist but a few month before my debute date, it was canceled and I was told that I'd be a member of this new group called Pinocchio. I was furious, of course. I was supposed to be a soloist, now I'm in a five-membered group? /shakes head/ Sometime I don't even know what's going on in the head of the CEO but what can I do, right? I'm only a trinee. /sighs/
Q. What is your dream?
→ I want to live a successful and rich life. It might sound shallow, but that's my ultimate goal. To be honest with you, I'd be anything that can lead me to that dream but I'm not studious like my brother so stuff like doctors and lawyers are just... I don't think I'd do well as those. Maybe I'd do well as a chef... hmm /rise eyebrows/ I think I will, I cook good food after all. If this singer thing doesn't work, I'll be a chef.
