KOREAN : native tongue ; self-explanatory. being born and raised in korea, sehyun is no foreign to the language and has the vast knowlege of it,

ENGLISH  : advance  ; english is considered the world's major language and became a compulsory subject at every country's education system, including korea, and along with books she picks up, sehyun have a proper knowledge of the language. with her heavy korean accent, sehyun can partially keep a conversation with the language.

MANDARIN  : basic  ; harley only does not offer to our warrioress skills of fighting or such thing related but also linguistic class which include mandarin. sehyun took the class out of hopes of understanding shii yan more since rumors around harley that shii yan have a chinese ethnicity. she's far minimun than none, since she's fairly new to the language.

amongst the herds of female assasins, shadow is surprassed easily by others because of her mediocre looks. she has a fairly white complex that can easily falter into a tint a white once flustered, embarrased, or nervous.  she has set of black eyes that carries the sadness or uncertainty she feels and usually wears contacts unless she's at home. she have a jet black hair that reaches her shoulder and side bangs that frame her gentle features, she has a few scars drawing on her smooth skins courtesy from few trainings and trouble she face and basically, she doesn't bear any tatoos nor have a piercing on both of her ears.

assassins are produce from different variation. most wanted to avenge their fallen love ones, others was found due to their skills, and some like shadow entered harley because she has nowhere else to go. a 17 years old girl was found by shii yan near to the harley’s base, lost, hungry, tired, almost lifeless, and when she is asked if she’s okay, tears is the only answer she can gave and can’t construct any coherent words. moments after, out of fatigue, she collapsed. shii yan, maybe out of pity, take her inside and took care of her until consciousness took her again. she was asked by shii yan the basic; who she is, and where she came from. the word she said was something out of norm for someone like her.

 

 

It was a simple sentence but it made shii yan intrigued, especially how the way the girl said it as if it just a matter of fact. When grilled why she killed her family, she can’t seem remember the reason why. shii yan doesn’t know what to do and also don’t want to waste a talent she saw at the seemingly harmles girl, so she ultimately decide to let shadow to enter harley.xx regardless of her unknown origin.

 

shadow's past as hong sehyun is distinctive from what she is right now. hong sehyun, born as a early chrismas gift for the married couple hong jisook and ryu saeron,  and little sister of hong jaekung, sehyun grew up leading a fair life. a loving parents. a protective almost bordering overbearing brother. she have a close cliques in school and became a part of her school's gymnastic skill, thanks to her flexibility.

in her brother case, however, it wasn't. he was put in a situation for being 4 year earlier to sehyun, facing twice as much pressure to suceed school. cram schools, summer boot camp, and having no social life is what jaekung got for being the oldest hong.  at first, he just thought it was for his own good as well and if she's asked by sehyun if he's okay with those pile of school, he just grin and bear it, saying he's perfectly fine. but the efforts he puts up meant nothing for his parents. trophies and medals is just one of those sparkle in the cabinet, but what make jaekung furious is that all the attention he deserves from those hardwork was given by the just bright and bubbly sehyun. and after awhile and many attempts, he just got tired. just, tired.  angered took over his whole system and sanity became missing in his mind. for 21 years of being the ideal son he is, everything falls apart by a one simple logic on a raining night. it was spur of moment as his hand clenched the knife while the other one is the door handle. the door open and shows his parents in deep slumber, vulnerable, and unaware of what their oldest son could come up to as they cuddle each other to other. it made jaekung wavered a bit in his position as he saw the state of parents; happy, inlove, and in utter contentment — something that he doesn't experience at the guidance of them. as the lightning roars, so does the knife dives down on the flesh of his parents. blood submerge at his sleeping suit. it was a swift kill. a sucess. a smile crept up to his lips but soon after, he took as deep gasp as sanity hit him and a matter of second, the door open revealing a scared of the lightning sehyun but she was more scare at the scene right in front of her. 

 

her eyes fixed toward her brother. soaked in blood. holding a knife. then through her parent, although they look like just taking a deep slumber, blood is oozing out from their wounds. her eyes was filled with horror, still can't swallow the scene. her step took backward as she meet the once warmth now murderous gaze from her brother.  goosebump went all over her system as jaekung shouted to her. 

"you're a murderer, you kill our family. y - you kill mom and dad. y - you k ill t - them,"
 

she know, as of now, her brother is far beyond in sane; he is crazy. so they play their favorite childhood game of tag it, you're it where in jaekung is the chaser and sehyun as the one being chase. but the thing is you're not it when you're caught, you're good as dead once your insane brother who just kill both of your parents caught you and good thing is, sehyun is much more faster and pretty much escape the danger that is jaekung himself.

for few days, she has no where to go, hungry and homeless. the trauma that is cause by what happen makes her demented. and eventually, those foot lead her to her new home - harley.xx where in shii yan became her "mother" and other girl as her "sisters."

what she is right now.
after attaining the higher secondary form of education, sehyun or shadow opted going out of collage to be given more alloted time in sharpening her skill as a assassin. she's currently living at the ground of harleys and working on a local restaurant few blocks from the basement. most of her free times spend through reading, surfing the net, or gathering information about her past.  sehyun leads a simple life, minus the fact that she's becaming a killing machine. but beneath on her simply lifestyle, every night, nightmare became the daily source of her sleepless night. bloody room. her parents  good as dead. her brother screaming. and she's determined the missing piece of her puzzle.

 

brother : hong jaekung : 22 :  police officer - during her childhood years, sehyun and her brother really have tie knot relationship. jaekung would always be the protective brother that looks for sehyun even though she protested she's fine and can do it herself, it's her way of thinking and clumsiness that jaekung would just smirk and call him a cry baby. now older and the event tooks happen, jaekung don't know neither care of her current whereabouts. to him, she's just a past that need buried along with his parent's coffin. now an police officer, a job both of their parents wish jaekung to be,  jaekung is tasked on the missing dress and harley. xx case. so the likeness of them meeting again is a huge chance right? and the ironic thing is, jaekung, the killer, is free roaming around playing a force of justice while sehyun, the innocent, took the part of killing as part of her living.
 

surrogate mother : shii yan : unknown : assassin, leader : shii yan is perhaps the closest person she can consider as her maternal figure. shii yan give her a home when no else can and she's much more grateful to her. shii yan is the one who improves shadow's way of asassinatiom both physically and mentally that despite she can consider one of the weakest link in the base, shii yan would still show a gentle smile and some prep talks. so, if anything, shadow follow shii yan's rule just like a slave and her perception of shii yan cannot easily falter by just rumors. but still, shii yan is shii yan, and shadow knows it, so she keeps improving herself in order not to meet the demon hidden inside shii yan.

colleagues : -- : assassins : most of the assasins treat her by means of making fool out of her, others indifferently, while handfuls still show warmth to her. to her group fetus, most treated her just a girl who's wishing to die while the others consider her as a threat so both way, she is treated harshly. to the higher ranks, majority is indifferent because of their own windows but she could be also the talk of group as some can really see a potential to became like them. 
sid :  sid and shadow doesn't really have a strong established relationship. they often pass to each other without saying someting. but to sid, she hates shadow for a reason. the reason is, she hates how hopeful and optimistic shadow in her current situation like, why is she trying hard anyway, dying is much better option than living in this roof.

stealth and mobility. two words that depict shadow's choice of assasination. having a background of being a gymnast makes shadow excels in agility, parring up with the some adolescents. being agile plus able to move through narrow spaces thanks to her petite figure able her to maneuver from in and out of the scene without putting any scenes. another thing that enchances her ability is because of, well, her normal look. the thing is, what is a good surprise than to be killed by a seemingly harmless girl. and oh, did i mention that way she dress is also another fact? when she's doing missions or doing her daily routines in her life, her choice of fashionnever differentiate from top to bottom. what is the point of wearing the public's perception of a killer leathers, black, and spiked heels when the best way is normality? she wears pants, a pair of shoes, a shirt, coated with a sweater is her daily to do mission fashion. if she would opted to chose between the knife ot gun, she would pick the former. she has proven to be a decent knifeman. although relative still lacking compare to others, but with her acquire speed, her charges is compared to bullet; both fast and lethal. with this, along with her agile body, shadow flourish a unexpected way offensive style, something that come out unexpectedly from her. but what shadow true strength is, how much she vent her efforts from doing something she was trusted or given to do. even at the tough moment, shadow is resillient for her taken actions and will find a way or two to accomplish.

WEAKNESSES 

other than agility and mobility, strength and being able to brawl is another quitessential need in assasination; something shadow has lack of because of her fragile body. without her knife to work with, neither close quarter quarter assasination nor long range assination would work best for her. she at hand-to-hand combat as well. not only in the power department she is inclined, but also in mental prowress, not in academics though. her naivety and impulsiveness maybe the parents of her lack of planning skills. rushing in spur of the moment might lead to few injuries or worse, her own death. her lack of planning may also stem from her pocket-sized boldness, you see, once nervous, she might get distracted and unfocus, causing her to execute move without putting any logical reason. 

STAMINA 

shadow have a enough stamina to sprint for about 100 meter without hitching a breath. she can take few bruises, kicks, and punches thanks to her persevarance but a fatal blow especially on her face, abdomen, and private part would cost her life once. 

ice pick. guns, sword, and knifes top the list of weapon use in crime assault, every so often, a crime is commited with this said weapon so resorting in using one would deem her suspicious. so what is the best way to dress a onslaught by using the legal yet lethal household tools which is ice pick? another thing is, there's no prohibition around korea to bring one.

JUST HIM. even at the first glimpse of him, lee jaehwan is pretty much a anassuming guy - even when you meet him. when you first him, you'd notice that he's quite a peaceful and kinds of  keeping himself together to a small cliques of friends and coworker. he's not exactly shy, heck he could have a moment of his own, he just naturally keep his own and avert other ways. dig a little further, and you could see that he's just a guy on his early adult syndrome and the symptoms include; enjoying life spontaenously, embrassing his friends to the public for his own entertainment, shamelessly flirting girls he found appleasing on his eye, lazy moments, diligent moments, sad moments, happy moments, reaming into something he wants to be, and isn't afraid to stand for his own belief.  he's so ( shockingly, mind you ) normal and harmless he could talk loud about he should be a killer because no one, even himself, could suspect of him being one. ( shadow doesn't  found this amusing, yet jaehwan couldn't decipher why. )  to make a this long paragraph short, he's just a normal guy enjoying his life in twenties. a trait that shadow knew she will never have again, though it's also the reason why she falling for him.

FIRST MEETING 

fate brought them when shadow, under the guise of shin haebyul, got  a job on the restaurant where jaehwan working. another thing is, when the manager decided ken to put on charge of training the clueless shadow thus the start of something new ( cue hsm's song ok no )

jaehwan, after many session of training, figure that he takes affinity of teasing shadow, her silly yet cute antics, and her cute smiles if she did a great job, but there's no ulterior motives behind and he didn't do anything malliciously to her ( minus those shrewd jokes and shadow's flustered cheeks ) nor even took advantage of shadow's innocence. to be frank, jaehwan, at his first impression on shadow is that she's type of someone who takes time bathing herself with comestics - a thing which most girls of her age do. but out of blue, shadow is more interested of becaming efficient worker of the restaurant, something jaehwan doesn't bargain for of her.

it took times to both stranger to became friends, and at these two's case, it takes a weeks for them to fully acknowledge each other's presence as a friend. shadow, by chance, is consistent of suprising jaehwan or maybe even the whole staff crew with how competent her service is. at lunch time, they often be the one sharing tables despite of shadow's protest or when in work time, jaehwan would often fool around to shadow, teasing her or doing things that would make shadow's cheek show a tint of pink; a habit of shadow which jaehwan really likes.  as the their shift ends, jaehwan would offer his company to take shadow home but she declined, not wanting to blow her shin haebyul act, and much of jaehwan's grimace.  they also had a few moments of struggle by all whom credit to jaehwan's pride. it just the fact shadow's skill as waiter is more competitive than jaehwan's. harsh word are said, tears have fallen, but in the end of the day, they reconcile with jaehwan's sorry and shadow's understanding where he is coming from.  ( during some of their free time, jaehwan told to shadow his dreaming of becaming a chef and being a crew here is one of his milestone. ) 

it took another handful conservation and silly moments when both considered the other as something more than what you call friend - we're just best pal, said the irritated yet flustered jaehwan when one of his friend mistook these two's relationship. they've been establishing a strong friendship that might lead into something, regardless, they found fondness to each other. jaehwan, on a normal day, would complain about the lack of their social network community in spite of their close friendship. so one day, out of frustration, shadow made a kakao just for the sake of jaehwan's sanity. their convos usually involves checking each other's well or jaehwan's obviously hinting on shadow whilst the other ruining it.

over the course, after endless flirting and moments, shadow find herself developing a crush towards jaehwan. even supposing to keep it in discreet, thanks to some coworker, jaehwan found it and boy, he's in pure bliss and merciless about it. soon after, jaehwan decided to "court" ( jaehwan's term, not shadow's ) her because in he did think shadow is a lovely girl minus the fact that there's some uncertain air about her.

COMMENTS  idunno what to say but reason why she can't remember the scene of her parents dead is that bcos she suffered from retrograde amnesia after passing out due to the trauma but thanks to the nightmare and her hope ( well jaehwan as well ) she's unraveling the past and at the same time doubting herself of her chosen path as a assassin. the reason why she believe she is the killer bcos yeah she doesn't rememberanything and the fragment from her dreams does not help so yeah and idk why i put the quote above maybe bcos i find suiting for the story sorry too for not making this app aesthetically pleasing sorry too bcos this a word vomit
