Who YOU?

PERSONALITY traits:
Reserved; Stoic; Sarcastic; Passionate; Determined; Self-Reliant; Blunt; Charismatic (when performing); Patient; Quiet; Competitive

Personality summary:

Yuki's past greatly affected the person she is today. Back then, she used to be innocent...innocent to the point of naïvety. Back then...she believed that everyone had some good in them. Then...one car accident later, things changed. Now, Yuki keeps to herself. Her mental barriers are up constantly. She never lets ANYONE get too close. Off stage, she is reserved and expressionless. Many people often comment on how unreadable she is. Whatever emotions she might feel on the inside, she refuses to let anyone see them. This has lead Yuki to become reliant on and trust no one but herself. She is very reluctant to have other people do things for her. Yuki has a sharp tongue when it comes right down to it. Her sarcasm knows no bounds if she is with someone she is relatively friendly with. If there is a problem, she prefers to deal with it directly rather than whine about it. She is very blunt when it comes to those sorts of things. If someone has a problem with her, Yuki makes sure to address it personally and get it sorted out. Yuki is passionate about two things in particular: change and music. The girl's passion is her driving force; it dictates many of the decisions she makes. She's determined to bring about change in the hip hop industry, where women aren't given as much credit as the men in terms of ability. (Different stereotypes of female rappers include how catty they are, how much drama they start and how little they know about true hip hop. Moreover, even if women DO enter the industry, they're often over-ualized, scooted off to the side, and just not taken seriously).

Yuki considers music her savior and escape. She has always turned to music during rough times and has finally decided that it's time to take her skills to the next level. On stage (or in Yuki's case, in the underground), Yuki becomes a different person. She walks and raps with confidence and poise and is filled with energy and charisma. People in the underground sometimes comment that they can see and feel Yuki's passion from the way she performs. Yuki is also EXTREMELY competitive. She never backs down from a challenge, no matter what it's about. And regardless of the challenge, Yuki will never give less than her 110% in anything. She'll always push herself to do better. Yuki's determination knows no bounds. Once she sets herself to a task, she will make sure to complete it. She never gives up on anything, no matter how hopeless the situation might seem. Although Yuki doesn't show it, she deals with self-esteem issues. She constantly criticizes herself and thinks she can do better. These thoughts usually attack her when she's alone and reflecting. These issues don't stop her from putting her heart and soul into her raps, but they certainly do bother her from time to time.

BACKGROUND:

Ryuu Yuki was born in Seoul, South Korea, where she lived until the age of 17. Up until the age of 10, Yuki was a rather happy child. Her parents loved her and took care of her, though they could get quite busy sometimes, and she suffered no major problems except for when she was at school (she didn't have friends and was bullied often). Still, Yuki kept a positive outlook on life and on people (she believed everyone had some good in them). At the age of six, her father convinced her mother to enroll Yuki in a martial arts/swordsmanship class so she could learn how to defend herself.

Then, at the age of 10, Yuki and her parents were involved in a fatal car accident with a drunk driver that killed the couple and left Yuki in the hospital for 2 weeks with serious injuries. When she woke and heard the news, Yuki was in shock. She didn't cry; she simply entered a catatonic state. Because Yuki had no immediate family left in Korea, social services brought her to an orphanage. That's where the real trouble began.

The children at the orphanage started to give Yuki a hard time. At first, Yuki was too far gone to really retaliate. Then, one of the kids made the mistake of trying to steal the dragon pendant around Yuki's neck. The resulting fight left the child in the orphanage's infirmary for the next week. Yuki was branded the orphanage's trouble maker. She bounced from foster house to foster house, never managing to stay in the same place for more than a week. The foster parents would return her saying she was "dangerous" or "too much to handle" or "hurt their children." No one ever bothered to listen to Yuki's side of the story. They didn't bother to understand that the reason Yuki broke her foster brother's arm was because he tried to touch her inappropriately, or that she hadn't actually stolen her foster sister's toys, but in fact her foster sister had hidden them in Yuki's room in hopes of getting rid of her, or that she had simply been brushing up on her swordsmanship skills in the backyard with a pole and wasn't coming up with a plan to murder her foster family. No, each time it was Yuki's fault. And each time, she was returned right back to the orphanage.

And school? School was even worse. Yuki kept to herself. She spoke to no one and immersed herself in studying and books, leading her to become one of the toppers in her classes. The other kids didn't take to that too well. They harassed Yuki constantly, making fun of her when the opportunity arose, tripping her in the hallways, gossiping about her, and stealing her things before throwing them at her. In the beginning, Yuki fought back viciously, but after 3 trips to the dean's office, she closed herself off. She gave no reactions, no inclination that the other students even existed. She became quiet, reserved, and passive, learning to mind her own business. The other students continued to taunt her, but she paid them no heed anymore. It just wasn't worth it.

It was around this time that Yuki starting dabbling in poetry and music. She enjoyed the way she could make words come together and ended up fully immersing herself in the art, writing poem after poem to express herself. And music. . . well, music became her life line. Every time things got hard or scary, she would always turn to music. It spoke to her in ways she hadn't been spoken to in a long time. It comforted her and protected her from the nasty thoughts she would sometimes have. It. . . it saved her.

Then, in her first year of middle school, a new student came. At first, Yuki paid him no mind. She kept to herself and continued about her life. That is. . . until he stood up for her. One day, as usual, the students had started their regular bout of bullying Yuki. The girl ignored it as she always did and kept walking. She didn't notice one of the school boys stick her foot out. She tripped and would have fallen flat on her face if he hadn't caught her. It was the new kid: Minho. Making sure she was steady, to Yuki's IMMENSE surprise, he began telling off the bullies. He was. . . defending her. At first, Yuki brushed it off. She told him she didn't need any help and walked off. She thought that that would be the end of it.

She was wrong.

Minho seemed hell bent on finding out more about her, understanding her, and most of all, befriending her. At first, Yuki rebuffed him again and again, not wanting anything to do with him. But he was annoyingly persistent. Finally, she gave in. It was the start of a very interesting friendship. Yuki and Minho shared many similar interests and had matching competitive personalities, but Yuki remained more reserved while Minho was always outgoing and relatively popular. Still, over time, Minho managed to get Yuki to open up to him little by little. After becoming friends with him, Yuki found the orphanage and school much more bearable. She found a reason to enjoy life again, to be happy.

It was in their second year of middle school that Minho introduced Yuki to the hip hop scene after Yuki finally agreed to show him her poems. Yuki took an immediate liking to the music and the beat, quickly becoming attached to the lyrics of every rap she listened to. It wasn't long before hip hop became her favorite genre. With Minho's help, her poetry started taking on a life of its own. They changed, morphing until they held a certain rhythm and kept up with certain beats. Every lunch, when they weren't playing sports, they were composing, playing competing over who could rap faster or who could spit better lyrics. Minho brought out a new side to Yuki through these means. A side that was more confident, more charismatic, and more expressive. Night after night, all Yuki would do was write and practice, her speed and skill increasing greatly.

At 13, Minho brought Yuki to the Korean Underground for the first time. The age restriction for competing in the underground was 16, meaning that Yuki and Minho couldn't participate, but they could at least watch and learn. It was here that Yuki learned how biased the hip hop industry was against female rappers. The blatant ism in the underground was obvious. The women were over-ualized, catty, and dramatic. When they rapped, it was about who wore the more revealing clothing, or who would start the cat fight first. It was never about the lyrics. It was never about the meaning. It was then that Yuki decided that when she started participating in the underground, she would make some changes and break the female stereotype. She and Minho jokingly promised that when they turned sixteen, they would battle each other on the stage of the underground.

Minho and Yuki's friendship lasted through middle school and into their sophomore year of high school. Yuki had changed a bit. She smiled more often and was in general a happier person. She had re-taken up swordsmanship and martial arts and graduated from both with high honors. She and Minho would playfully compete against each other in studies as well, keeping both of their grades impressively high. The pair went to the underground almost every night. She had found a friend and a passion. She had found a purpose.

She should have known that it wouldn't last.

One day in their sophomore year of high school, Minho didn't show up to school. Yuki brushed it off; she assumed he was sick. He didn't show up the next day either. Or the next. Texts, phone calls, and e-mails all went unreturned. Yuki started panicking, going to his house and knocking on the door. His mom answered, finally giving her an answer: Minho had been selected to train under S.M. He was going to become an idol. She told Yuki it would probably be best if she stopped trying to get into contact with Minho. Well, the girl didn't give up that easily. She kept trying for weeks on end, hoping to run into the boy on the streets or maybe even in the underground. No luck. The bullying continued with renewed force, except this time, Yuki had no one to turn to. Minho's sudden disappearance from her life had a drastically negative effect on the girl. She swore to herself that she would never let anyone get that close to her ever again. The pain was nearly too much to handle. She turned back to her music, composing more raps, teaching herself to spit lyrics faster and faster, increasing her abilities through excessive practice. She focused on her studies, cramming her mind with information. She wiped any memories of Minho from her head, forcing herself to forget him or anything to do with him. She was back to the way she used to be, except this time around, it was much, much worse.

Come age 16, Yuki finally worked up the courage to compete in Korea's underground. The first time she ever entered the competition, she was severely underestimated. Many other rappers jeered at her, laughing at the idea that a little girl would ever try to compete against the big dogs. She started off small, competing against other fairly new rappers and testing the waters. She started reading patterns, using her abilities to adapt to a beat and come up with lyrics off the top of her head. Her determination pushed her through the ranks quickly, earning the girl growing respect from the other underground rappers. After about a year, she became known in the underground as the Black Dragon, one of the fiercest competitors the underworld had to offer. Rapping became Yuki's escape, her way to express herself and her way to forget her problems. Yuki was careful to avoid diss battles, something that caught other rappers' eyes. Usually, diss battles were a female rapper's primary form in the underground. That's where the cat fights started. To Yuki, however, diss battles were a relatively low form of rapping. Sometimes, lines were crossed that shouldn't even be touched. Therefore, she never entered a diss battle, not unless provoked. Instead, she impressed the other rappers with her ability to rap about a variety of topics and flawlessly combine subjects. With each performance, her confidence and charisma increased. She even picked up quite a few hip hop styled dance moves thanks to the people around her.

At age 17, Yuki's life changed again. Social services managed to discover a distant aunt on the girl's father's side that lived in Los Angeles. After completing high school, Yuki left the Korea and its underground and moved to L.A., California. The girl, already very familiar with the English language from school, improved her vocabulary once she entered the states. Yuki's aunt wasn't abusive, but she wasn't particularly kind, either. She tried to force Yuki to become "more like a girl," an idea which Yuki detested. Tensions between the two steadily increased, with the aunt beginning to comment on how useless Yuki was and how much of a burden she was becoming. Yuki spent more time out of the house than in. In this way, she discovered L.A.'s underground. She was intrigued in the concepts and styles, picking up on some by observing different competitors. Yuki began writing new raps: some full korean, others full english, and still others a mix of the two languages. Yuki noticed that in L.A. the situation with female hip hop artists was just as bad as it had been in Korea. While there were some very strong hip hop females in the states, they were still scarce, a thought that rubbed Yuki the wrong way. Moreover, Yuki noticed that the lyrics and rap battles in L.A. were much more racist, ist, and overall offensive than what she was used to.

Once Yuki reached 19, she decided that she had had enough of living with her distant aunt. She didn't get the same vibe from L.A.'s underworld as she had from Korea's. She wanted to go back. Her aunt was kind enough to get her a plane ticket and arrange a place to stay for Yuki. And just like that, Yuki found herself once again on Korean soil. She set herself up in the apartment her aunt had helped her acquire and took up several part time jobs: a waitress, a martial arts instructor, and a swordsmanship instructor, all the while continuing her college studies and her activities in the underground.

ORIGINS: This is all completely in the background^^ :)

FRIENDS:

P.Kae || SMTM Judge || Yuki and Kae first meet at the beginning of SMTM. Kae notices how closed off Yuki is from others and becomes determined to befriend her and change that. In a lot of ways, Kae is the complement to Yuki. Whereas Kae is energetic, happy, and dorky, Yuki is closed off, reserved, and doesn't smile often. However, the two share similar passions, goals, and interests, which end up bringing them closer together.

Park Miyoung || SMTM Judge and New Music Producer||Yuki becomes closer to Miyoung through Kae. Like Kae, Miyoung knows that there is a lot more to Yuki's personality than meets the eye. She admires how hard working and determined the girl is because it reminds her of herself. Miyoung's personality is almost the polar opposite of Yuki's, which makes the two's dynamic hilariously interesting as Miyoung occasionally tries to catch Yuki off guard to make her laugh and such.

CL || Main Rapper of 2NE1 || Zico introduces CL to Yuki at the beginning of SMTM. Yuki has always admired CL as an artist and is glad for the opportunity to meet one of the baddest female idols in the Kpop industry. CL admires Yuki's fighting spirit and the hard work she puts into whatever she does.

Zico || Leader of Block B/SMTM Judge || Zico met Yuki before SMTM started, in Korea's underground. Back then, he only knew of her as the Black Dragon, but had witnessed some of her rap battles and performances. He took an interest in her and introduced himself, much to Yuki's surprise. It was Zico that suggested to Yuki that she audition for the upcoming SMTM season. In a way, it's his test for her. He wants to see if she's worth signing on/endorsing as an artist. The two's interactions are sarcastic and slightly playful. Yuki always challenges Zico to see who can rap faster (even though she ends up losing more times than she likes to admit).

Kyung || Member of Block B/SMTM Judge || Yuki met Kyung through Zico. His happy-go-lucky personality through her off guard from the moment they first met. In Yuki's opinion, Kyung is a bit crazy, but the boy always manages to make her smile.

Jimin (BTS) || Member of BTS || Jimin and Yuki's first meeting didn't happen like normal people's did. They met when Jimin came to support Rap Mon and Suga in an SMTM episode. Backstage, Rap Mon introduced him to Yuki, and the boy made the mistake of abruptly throwing his arm around Yuki in a friendly gesture. Yuki reacted by grabbing Jimin's arm and flipping him onto his back. She apologized and tried to explain that she didn't like contact too much, but Jimin brushed it off, while Rap Mon and Suga laughed hysterically. The two became close, often sharing sarcastic banter, and share a very sibling-like relationship.

Whoever Eomma's Character is xD || ? || Met on the show; Eomma is very motherly towards Yuki, a feeling Yuki has never really experienced before. The two are extremely close.

SPIT FIRE, GET HIGHER

THIS IS WHERE ON A SCALE OF ONE TO FIVE, YOU RATE YOUR CHARACTER'S STREGNTH'S AND WEAKNESSES. THE TOTAL CANNOT EXCEED 20. THIS IS OF COURSE BEFORE THE COMPETITION STARTS, SO YOUR CHARACTER WILL GET BETTER (HOPEFULLY) OVER TIME. Try to aim for somewhere in the 12-18 range. You can also elaborate on why the score is the way it is.

LYRICS: ★★★★★           5/5
Yuki's been writing lyrics since she was 11 years old; Has been fully exposed to both Korean and American rapping styles. Lots of experience in this department.

EXPERIENCE: ★★★✫    3/5
Yuki has been exposed to large crowds since a young age because of her rapping in the underground but she's never professionally handled a crowd before.

SPEED: ★★★✫            4/5 in Korean 3/5 in English
Yuki has trained herself to rap quickly thanks to self-practice and rapping with Minho. She's more comfortable with Korean, therefore she can rap faster in that language. She can still rap fairly quickly in American but not as fast.

CHARISMA: ★★★★✫      4/5
Yuki becomes a different person on stage. She's much more confident and has picked up the hip hop dancing style from her years in the underground. She struts with a bit of subtle arrogance on stage that's enough to make sure that all eyes stay on her when she speaks.

voice: ★★★✫✫            3/5
Yuki's mother, being a singing teacher, used to sing with Yuki when she was little. The girl has a clear, pristine voice, but can't reach extremely high notes. Still, her vocal range is fair and she can reach slightly higher than a baritone. She is capable of changing the tone of her voice quickly if she is doing a song that requires both singing and rapping.

Total:                       18-19/25
Skilled but definitely room for improvement.

LYRICS/RAPS/TRACKS:
-Themes:Gender; Unbreakable; Life Struggles; Breaking Stereotypes; Pain; Goals
-Favorite Tracks: Zero for Conduct; Bulletproof; Get Down; MTBD; Rush; Lose Yourself; Danger (BTS); Excuse Me (BAP); God Rap (BTS); Rap God (Eminem); Hip Hop Lover; Tough Cookie; and so many more omg

anything else about your character's rap style: YUKI'S SPECIALITY IS MOLDING KOREAN AND ENGLISH LYRICS TOGETHER IN HER RAPS WITHOUT BREAKING PACE; SHE'S VERY GOOD AT THINKING ON HER FEET FOR LYRICS.

I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU

LOVE INTEREST: Choi Minho (SHINee)

relationship status: It's complicated. (Love/Hate relationship)

FIRST MEETING/IMPRESSIONS: Yuki and Minho were best friends as children, but then, Minho left without an explanation. This caused Yuki to harbor much resentment towards him.
Surprisingly, Yuki ends up encountering Minho much later in the future when she unknowingly verses him in a rap battle in the underground (this would probably be near the beginning of SMTM). When she realizes who it is, she immediately tries to detach herself from the situation but Minho is not willing to let her go a second time, regardless of the consequences.
Although Yuki has the option of exposing Minho (i.e. informing S.M. that he secretly goes to the underground even as an idol), she chooses not to do so.

SUGGESTIONS FOR MINHO'S INVOLVEMENT IN SMTM:
-Judges bring in rappers from different kpop groups and Minho is one of them. Minho and Yuki are forced to work together in a collaboration.
-Yuki continues to go to the underground during SMTM and repeatedly runs into Minho there (He goes in the dead of night when he feels like letting off steam so it doesn't interrupt with his schedule and so nobody gets suspicious).
-Minho is friends with some of the judges (I was thinking either P.Kae, Zico, Tablo, or all three) so he stops by often.
-If Minho is friends with P.Kae: He explains to her the situation between him and Yuki (since P.Kae and Yuki are close) and asks for help in winning her over, which P.Kae happily agrees to and sticks Yuki and Minho together at every available moment.

LOVE INTEREST'S PERSONALITY: Slightly arrogant; Competitive; Protective (but not overbearing); A bit flirty; Outgoing; Warm; Caring; Trusting and Trustworthy; Dorky when around people he's comfortable with.

INTERACTIONS: Lots of arguments between the two (mostly comedic); Minho tries to get close to Yuki but Yuki tries to distance herself; Competing over who can rap faster, who has better lyrics; When they eventually get comfortable with each other: very playful. Minho likes to make her blush because he knows he's the only one that can do it.

BACKUPS: Park Jimin (BTS) (although I would rather he and I share a sibling relationship over love interest).

BONUS! WHY YOU LOVE THEM: When it comes right down to it, Minho is really the first person that accepted Yuki for who she is. He's very genuine and he cares about Yuki a lot, which is seen by how desperate he is to be close to her again when they finally see each other again.

INTERVIEW

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO AUDITION FOR SMTM?
~
It was actually Zico-ssi that first brought up the idea to me. He saw me rapping in the underground and suggested I test my abilities in a professional setting. Because of his suggestion, I started thinking a lot about my original goal, which is to break the negative stereotype revolving around female hip hop artists. If I can make it far in SMTM, which I am determined to give my absolute best in, then I might have the potential to get scouted or endorsed by an artist/company, which would help me greatly in accomplishing my goal. Furthermore, in auditioning for SMTM, I have proven to myself that I am not afraid to attempt rapping in a new setting against new, very accomplished competitors. Also, I auditioned for this show to prove something. A lot of people have told me that I'll never amount to anything big and that I'll never make it far in life, especially if I continue to pursue a career in hip hop. I have come here to prove those people wrong. And, if anything else, the money that comes along with first prize would be very helpful to me because I am currently struggling financially.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO GAIN FROM BEING ON THE SHOW?
~
Primarily, I hope to gain recognition. I want the abilities I have worked so hard on to be acknowledged by a larger audience. I want the people who once told me that I would amount to nothing to see me succeed as an artist. I also hope to gain a lot of experience going down this road: things like improving my lyrics, switching up my beats, and just in general exposing myself to larger, more diverse crowds. Most importantly, I hope to gain a large step in breaking the gender barriers in the hip hop industry. I want the world to see that female hip hop artists are just as skilled, powerful, and serious as the males in the industry.

WHO'S TEAM DO YOU WANT TO BE ON (AND WHY)?
~I hope to be on Team BlockBuster because I feel like I can learn so much from Zico-ssi and Kyung-ssi. I feel like Zico-ssi, having been an underground rapper before becoming an idol, can relate to my situation and help me with any discomfort I might have transitioning from the underground to professional rapping. Moreover, Zico-ssi is very well rounded and I feel as though he would really help me in improving my overall skills as a performer. Kyung-ssi, I feel, would really help me in the style department, as I don't have much of a sense for fashion or handling different kinds of audiences. Most importantly, I feel like both members of this team would understand my passion and my desire to go far within this show. As I mentioned previously, I feel like I could learn so much for both judges.

IN CASE YOU WANT ME TO CHOOSE YOUR TEAM:
~I hope to be on Team 1llionare, mainly because of judge P.Kay-ssi. It's very interesting to me to see SMTM have female judges this year and P.Kay-ssi is a very strong individual as a hip hop artist and I admire her work ethic and her skills as a rapper. I feel as though I could learn a lot from her. Also, Mad Clown-ssi, having been on the show before, would be very helpful in terms of helping me cope with the stress and duress of being on the show. Finally, Beezino-ssi's passion for what he does matches my own and he'll be able to help me with my style since my fashion sense is not that strong.

WHO'S YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION? (YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE ONE, CAN BE AN APPLICANT OR SOMEONE ELSE ON THE MASTERLIST)
~It would be almost impossible for me to say as of right now because I haven't really seen how these producers interact with their new teams. However, looking at past seasons, I think San E's team will definitely give people a run for their money. I also think Tablo has a fair shot at getting his team pretty far.

WHO DO YOU ADMIRE MOST AS A HIP HOP ARTIST?
~I actually have several role models if you don't mind. Zico-ssi and Kim Namjoon-ssi are definitely two rappers I look up to. Both idols have shown skill both in the underground and as idols. I am a huge fan of the lyrics they write and their passion for hip hop. They have proven to the Kpop industry that it is possible to succeed in life even with a rough background. In terms of female rappers, I definitely admire Lee Chaerin-ssi and Cheetah-ssi. They are both such strong individuals and amazing rappers. They have really set the bar for females in the hip hop industry and I aspire to be like them.

WHERE DO YOU DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION FROM?
~My life and background, definitely. Also, the problems of ism present in the hip hop industry. I also like to rap about the power of endurance.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT IDOL RAPPERS?
~I have respect for idol rappers. It's very easy for me to see the passion in their eyes. They worked very hard to get where they are, putting in hours of training and coming from different backgrounds and working through different problems.

do you have a fanbase? If so, is it predominantly male? female? why?
~I wouldn't say I have a prominent fanbase, especially since I've only rapped in the underground. I haven't had a chance to make my name widely known yet. I hope to change that with my participation in SMTM.

what's your on stage personality like?
~I'm good at adapting to the feel of the stage, but usually, I'm very confident when I'm on stage. I walk with a strut in my step and I try to make as much eye contact as possible. I enjoy interacting with the audience and if they're familiar with the lyrics I'm singing, I'll definitely try to get them to sing along.

DO you curse openly?
~Yes, I do, although I tend to avoid ist/racist slurs. I'm also okay with people that curse openly around me.

WHAT is your attitude towards the other competitors (in general)?
~I think all of them have their own strengths. Everyone's come from a different background and I respect each competitor for putting themselves out there to display their skills and talent. I may come across as cold and aloof towards them, however, but that's because I don't really interact with other people aside from on a professional level.

HOW well known are you as a rapper?
~
I would say I'm fairly well known in the underworld. It's practically my second home. In this world, though, I'm pretty much a mystery, haha. Not many people know who I am, so they don't know what to expect. I've heard a lot of skepticism based on my ability to do well in this competition, so clearly, I have a lot of people to prove wrong. I do have some support from the underground rappers, though. A few female underground rappers are really happy that I took the next step in order to make my name in the industry and some other rappers that helped me improve my skill are also supporting me in my ventures.

WHO'S TEAM DO YOU WANT TO BE ON?
~Team Blockbuster

their FIRST IMPRESSION of you?
~
The first time Zico saw Yuki, she was in her element on the stage of the underground, battling it out with some of Korea's well known underground rappers. He was pretty impressed with her skill, which is why he asked her to consider auditioning for SMTM in the first place. He's a bit put off by her reserved demeanor, but he also sees that she's willing to listen and learn and is quite funny once you get to know her. Kyung hasn't seen Yuki rap before, but if Zico thinks she's good, then there has to be something about her. He, like Zico, is also confused by Yuki's usually unreadable face, but he's determined to try to bring out the nicer side of her. He definitely sees work to be done in the fashion department. Neither boys can mistake the passion in her eyes or the determination she has to go far. And that is something they greatly admire about her.

your first impression of them?
~
Yuki looked up to Zico a long time before SMTM came about. However, when she met him as a judge, she was not disappointed. He had a passion for his craft and a determination to help his team get far. Although she thinks he can get a bit too arrogant at times, Yuki thinks that overall, Zico will be a good mentor and will help her hone her skills.
Yuki thinks Kyung is. . . a bit four dimensional. He always walks around with a smile on his face and a silly personality to match. She is confused by the lengths Kyung goes to to make her laugh or loosen up, but she is grateful for the fact that he at least doesn't seem to have a problem with her. She admires his skill just as much as she admires Zico's and hopes to learn much from him.

HOW DO YOU AND YOUR MENTORS GET ALONG?
~ALTHOUGH YUKI INITIALLY HAS TROUBLE OPENING UP TO ZICO AND KYUNG, EVENTUALLY, THE THREE BECOME VERY CLOSE. THEY TREAT EACH OTHER LIKE FAMILY AND ALTHOUGH THEY SOMETIMES ARGUE, THEY'RE OVER IT BY THE END OF THE DAY. THEY WORK HARD TOGETHER BUT ZICO AND KYUNG ALSO TRY TO GET YUKI TO HAVE SOME FUN.
