The Writing Inspiration Factors

By now, some of you are probably thinking "oh no, not another blog post about Li Yifeng..."  LOL  nope~! Not this time (but maybe...no, very highly likely, next time you'll see Li Yifeng again).  XD  *sigh* I'm still not over fangirling about him.  This is my first ever blog post from my personal blog and honestly, I think I need to follow these steps right now so that I can start updating some of my stories again!  ><  Hopefully, the following could also help some of you!  ^^

Let's be honest, even if a writer has the perfect story outline and is immune to writer's blocks, there are just some days that she just can't write (think pms).  At worst, she would rather just sit back and watch the world burn.  Of course, that's me sometimes.  However, I tended to feel guilty rather quickly afterwards because I would suddenly remember what it felt like to be an enthusiastic reader waiting for the author to update her favourite story.  Also, I have my share of "abandoning stories" days when I was young, but now I don't want to abandon anything once started.  Therefore, I make sure that the following are near my presence so that I can force myself from writing procrastination:

1. A music list from YouTube that fits with the mood I try to create in the story or in a single chapter.

2.  Picking a writing utensil from my special pen collection.  I even dedicate this cherry blossom pen holder just to hold my special pen set (see below).

Unfortunately not all of them writes well. =/

3. If I have excess spending money, I buy pretty notebooks so that I can make myself and the stories feel even more special. Heh, I'm so vain.

The floral notebook contains chapters 1 to 12 of Unexpected. I'm planning to use the one next to it to finish the story.

4. Plenty of water.

5. Snacks, if my budget permits.

6. The right room temperature.

That's basically it.  I was not always this "particular" about my writing environment until I started earning money.  Actually, I'm not as extravagant now that I'm back in school.

*This post was from a while back when I went back to school to take some elective courses.  I'm not in school now...but working like a lovely fool, for money & for dream~!  XD  Also, I have more pen holders & pens now...Hahaha....=___="  Finally, my first fanfic at AFF (definitely not my "first fanfic" though...), Unexpected, is already completed last year.  Used about four months to complete because I actually followed the above steps....seriously, I need to start following the steps again!  ><"

Thank you for the tips! I'm so unmotivated lately and it's hard to write when on vacation even though I got time. Thanks for reminding me!
