Stress :(

I am stressed about going to school this semester. I have books, and supplies to pay and of course tuition. My mom is a single parent of 3 and two of us are in college right now. We can't receive financial aid due to her occupational profession so she has to pay out of pocket for our tuition. I bought a couple of text books for school today that were worth more than my pay check. And I have more books to buy. My job hasn't been giving me enough hours but I've made enough money to buy my text books. Working another job will bring more stress and interfere with school. It's all too much for me but my mom doesn't even seem to be worried. I just wan to get through this and get it all over with. I have several more years to go. FML!!!

I'm taking four classes at my community college this year and don't have a job because I'll be too busy, but I do know that the Library I live by offers whatever hours I'm available and the pay is $9 and hour. You could try working at your local library in your free time, it'll take the stress off. Besides its a library, when you're not working you could study. ^^

You can do this. If you stress over it, you'll end up in a bad mental state, and you don't need that on top of everything else.

Stay strong . You can go through it. Keep positive and know that at the end of the day, all of your struggles and effort is worth it.

Awwww, it's okay. All us college students have to go through it. I suggest not buying books until you've gone to the class for the first day and taking to friends who have taken that class to see if you really need that book. Also, check your Facebook college groups to see if anyone has a free pdf form or the same books but for way cheaper than the bookstore. You can also try to look for scholarships. Hang in there, chingu! You've got this :D

Something I have learnt, going through my uni years, is that only a few of my courses REALLY needed me to buy those textbooks because we were a lot of the materials were being taken from there. The trick was to wait until second or third week of the semester and see if I really needed to buy those textbooks. The other courses I had, also made sure the library had many copies so we could access them to look through and take notes from. Second hand book stores on campus were useful too - I could also sell back my last year textbooks to them.
I am currently looking at the pile of textbooks I have bought for my courses and I can only point to a few that I really needed to buy.
