If you walked into a room full of people you don't know, what would you do? Joohyun would go in with a smile and start talking to people right away. She's very social and would adapt to any environment very easily. So, it's not that hard for her to make friends. She makes friends very easily with her cheerful and easygoing personality. She doesn't shy away and is always happy and cheerful. When others are around her, they can't help but be cheerful as well. At her acting sites, she's the mood maker and keep everyone's energy up. She's consistently having a bright smile on her face. Joohyun is also very kind and humble. That's probably what attracts others to her. If she knows she can help, she helps out to her very best effort she got.

Even though she is all smiles, Joohyun can be quite emotional. With simple things, she is easily moved and touched. Also, she cries over simple things. It was Woohyun's surprise birthday and Woohyun cried, soon Joohyun cried as well. Joohyun likes to dream, especially when she goes stargazing. She gets lost in her thoughts and can easily lose track of time. When she wants to be, Joohyun can be determined. If she has an idea or want something to be done, she will get it done. She doesn't hold back and is determined to finish. 

There are some faults to Joohyun also. She is very naggy. She doesn't like to see a mess and would nag the person until they cleaned it up. Or, she would remind someone about something to the point they get so annoyed by her. She is also stubborn. She can be hard to deal with sometimes because of her stubbornness. Joohyun is also vulnerable. Even though her determination and stubbornness shows, she is actually very hesitant. She hesitates before making a choice. Also, Joohyun can get very insecure about herself. She compares herself to others. Also, she has insecurities about how people judge her, if what she is wearing looks good, or if she is good enough to even be an actress. Her confidence wavers when she see other people with so much confidence in them and she becomes insecure. She even once thought if she was good enough to be Nam Woohyun's younger sister. background ::

On 13 of October 1993, in Seoul, South Korea, Nam Joohyun was born to a pair of loving korean couple. She is the youngest of three and the only daughter. She has two older brother, the eldest Boohyun who is 8 years older than her and Woohyun, who is 3 years older than her. She was born into a loving and middle class family. Her father works and helps manages Boohyun's BBQ restaurant, her mother is a florist and from time to time she would help out at the restaurant. Her brother Boohyun is the owner of a BBQ restaurant and chef. Her brother Woohyun is a member of the popular group INFINITE. Joohyun grew up in Seoul and resides there currently.

Joohyun went to Dongduk Girl's High School and finished high school. She's currently going to the same college as her brother Woohyun. She goes to Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts and is majoring in Performing Arts. She has good time management to balance out her work and studies. So, she has time to go to her shoots and time for class. 

Joohyun grew up in a caring and loving environment. She was often spoiled because she was the only daughter and the youngest. While growing up she was very interested in music. She got herself lessons in guitar and singing. She would often go to popular areas and busker. She knew she wanted to become a singer, but her parents were against the idea. In middle school, she decided to join the drama department and try out acting. Soon, she fell in love with acting and it became her passion with singing. Once the issue of Woohyun becoming a trainee died down, she told her parents that she wanted to become an actress. At first they disagreed and rejected the idea of it. Joohyun decided to invite them to watch one her acting, they went and felt proud of her. After a while, they decided to give her the okay and let her become an actress. She auditioned for many agencies, like JYP, SM, KeyEast, SidusHQ, and Fantagio but got declined. At one of her school performances, she got to play the lead. A scout person was there and at the end of her performance, the scout person gave her a business card for FNC Ent. and told her to come by the next day and audition. Joohyun audition for acting but she ended up becoming a trainee for a girl group. 

Joohyun acting debut was in Master of Study as Gil Pul-ip. Through that, she became best friends with Seungho, Jiyeon and Hyunwoo. She has also acted in Shut Up Flower Boy Band as one of the students. Also, School 2013 as a student and in Hi! School-Love On as a student. She acted in many school theme dramas as a student. Her recent drama was Who Are You: School 2015. Joohyun is currently auditioning for roles and hopefully she gets a lead.

how you met :: Joohyun and Myungsoo had a bad first impression of each other. Joohyun was visiting her brother's dorm to drop off some food her mother had pack. At that time her brother was sharing a room with Myungsoo. Once she got into the dorm, she went up to her brother's room to check it out. Apparently, Myungsoo had just got out of the shower and was semi-. When she opened the door, she saw him, and screamed. After Myungsoo had finish changing, she went inside the room to check it out. They room was really messy, which she dislikes so much, that she went to Myungsoo and her brother and nagged at them to clean it up. None of them moved, so she kept nagging. Myungsoo got irritated called her an ahjumma and told her to stop nagging and shut up. 

how you act around each other :: Joohyun and Myungsoo are always bickering and fighting. Myungsoo likes to get under Joohyun's skin and irritate her and Joohyun would like to stay as far away as possible from him.

how you met :: Joohyun and Hyunwoo met while filming Master of Study. It was Joohyun's first acting role and she was nervous. Hyunwoo, who was in the industry for a while, saw her and helped her get comfortable and not be nervous. Ever since then they became best friends and would meet up with each other often. 

how you act around each other :: Joohyun and Hyunwoo are moodmakers. Every time they are together, they would have so much fun. Their energy would not run out and the people around them would have a great time. They bring a smile on people's face. Joohyun has a small crush on Hyunwoo but she knows they are nothing but friends because he has someone he likes. trainee life :: Joohyun got in FNC Ent. not in acting but as an idol trainee. She was greatly upset about it at first. She didn't want to become an idol. The first three months, she struggled so much. It was hard for her. She enjoy the singing portion, but when there were dance practice, she dislike it so much. She was not good awful at dancing. She was stiff and clumsy. Even though she didn't like it, she practiced very hard at it. She became friends with Minhyuk because they both were bad at dancing and spent extra time to dance. Later on, Minhyuk was assigned to a band group so he didn't have to dance no more. Joohyun was still struggling. Because of her ability to play guitar well and vocals, she was assigned to be part of FNC's first ever girl group. Joohyun talked to her company asked them if it was alright if she did acting before debuting and they gladly okayed it. Joohyun was thrill that she can still act. While practicing to become a girl group member, she also practiced for acting. She auditioned and got her first role in Master of Study. Soon they formed a group of girls that are the potential members of the girl group. She soon became friends with all of them. She was closer to Seolhyun because they were in acting class together. Joohyun was supposed to be a member of AOA and debut with them but she chose not to and decided to focus on her path of being an actress.
