I have yet to decide if I'd put this to friends only or public so I'll write out what I want to say.

I don't know which is more disheartening, as an aspiring writer here on AFF, putting up my work while I write the other chapters or writing everything before I post it. If I put up my work while I write the other chapters, I rarely don't get any comments at all that talk about the story or how I could improve it, the "update soon" comments are flattering but hearing something about it is nicer. If I post it when I'm done with the whole story, during the process, I'd still be disheartened because I don't know if I should keep it up or if people will actually like what I'm making.

I certainly can't force people to comment what they think. So I've thought of making my ideas or the stories I've made into one-shots, but then they all feel so short-lived. I don't even know if I'm supposed to continue writing at all LOL >< Any tips? How do I cope? What should I do? I'd love to hear what people think and do when they feel disheartened.. I'm can't be the only one, right?
