okay wow

I just found out that this feature existed ........................ lmao
So I thought I should write something about the kind of fics I like and dislike, since this is aff afterall.
For genres, I like romance ahahaha it might be an age thing, but I enjoyed reading Twilight when I was 11 bc romance.
I like comedy also, so romcoms are the best thing ever. I don't necessarily like fluff though, because it tends to be unrealistic sometimes.
I also enjoy reading angst once in a while, when I'm in the mood for it. Same for . But too much isn't good yea.
I mean crying over a sad fic makes me feel good sometimes idek am I weird or smth???
As for other genres like mystery, thriller, action etc etc, I don't really have any preference.
I think it boils down to the fact that I don't care too much about the plot when reading, and those genres are usally plot-heavy.
Next, fics with extremely cliche backgrounds are my pet peeves like ugh.
Especially fics with half the group as "kingkas" and half the group as "nerds", then they somehow fall in love with each other just nicely.
And Junmyeon is always the damned Student Council President, and Kris and Sehun are always unfriendly jerks.
They always have hordes of fangirls who swoon over them like that's the most ridiculous one LOLLL.
I have never seen anyone fangirling over anyone in my school. There's this guy who is sort of locally famous for rapping but no one gives two s about him.
Right, and then there are those fics where Taekwoon is the bully of the school, and maybe Zitao cuz he whips with wushu.
I think I just dislike stereotypes in general, especially those that make Jaehwan sound like an immature noisy dude, because he is most definitely not.
Okay so maybe I'm just unhappy that someone made my bias an immature but yeah I've read too many stereotypical fics.
And then there's the wolf!au and that aboverse stuff which I don't really like either, but I do read them if they're good.
Then the ultra pet peeve is no paragraphing and terrible grammar. I'm sort of a grammar Nazi, although I don't type in perfect grammer.
I start sentences with "and" and "but, and I'm always confused over whether to use past tense or past participle.
But I really dislike seeing sentences with wrong tenses, wrong SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT and BAD PUNCTUATION.
HOW HARD IS IT TO PUT COMMAS AND APOSTROPHES IN YOUR SENTENCES GUYS??? How hard is it to capitalise your proper nouns??
I don't mind if it's in the a/n or for stylistic purposes, but when it's not, I get annoyed. Okay oops sorry for the rant. So yeah, that ^ is an absolute pet peeve.

Anyway, I'm a person who immerses myself in the character when reading, so I tend not to notice so much of the plot.
I only realise plot holes in my stories after reading more than like maybe 10 times through, and I think that's sort of a weakness for me.
In any case, that's the reason I enjoy reading stories that dig deeper into the emotional side rather than having a fantastic plot.
My mum, on the other hand, is solely a plot-reader, so she really loves mystery stories where she can be a detective herself ahaha.
So, if you've read my post up till this point, congratulations!! (idek why)

So... Which type of reader are you guys?
One of my all-time favourite fics is a sulay fic called Lunacy by sbanggg. The plot is barely there, and it's more of the cherry on top to the story. If you're someone like me, I reckon you'll like the story too. :) For any keo shippers, "Art of loneliness" by Lavandula is really good too, so you guys should read it if you haven't. Reread it if you have ahahaha.
Dude what's with the difference in line spacing it's pissing me off
