So . . . I guess this is going to become another rant? Well, in my defence it's not really a rant (ohh, who am I kidding? It's totally a rant). Anyway, as most of you know (or might not), I am a huge fan of SISTAR. Yeah, I'm a STAR1. Anyway, SISTAR just made their comeback recently with 'Shake It', which in my opinion sounds like 'Touch My Body' 2.0 lol hahaha. I am not here to talk about that though hahaha. I am here to talk about Dasom, SISTAR's maknae. From her debut until now, Dasom has had her fair share of haters (which idol doesn't?), where many people think she doesn't have what it takes to be in SISTAR. Throughout my years supporting SISTAR, I have seen many people bashing and hating on Dasom, saying she is a mediocre singer and dancer. They're always saying, "She's not a good singer" or "Her dancing is terrible" and so on. Like come on. Can I just remind everyone that SISTAR has two very strong vocalists and Bora who practically majored in contemporary dancing? It doesn't help that both Hyolyn and Soyou are able to keep up in terms of dancing easily too. So anyway, during live performances, most of the time, all I read are compliments for Hyolyn, Soyou and Bora and criticsms for Dasom. That is so unfair. I am not even Dasom biased, geez. Of course, the haters are fuelled even more when watching MR Removed performances, especially ones on Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook (for those who don't know, it's a KBS music show), saying she doesn't deserve to be a singer and so on.

But for their recent comeback, Dasom totally slayed. Like seriously. She looks more confident and I can see why. Her dancing and vocal ablities have improved and as a STAR1, I am damn proud of her. If you guys watched the recent MR Removed videos of SISTAR, you'll know what I am talking about. Dasom's dancing is also on the rise, peeps. She was doing the ad-libs for Hyolyn and Soyou (who the former was having sore throat, if I am not mistaken) and her breathing has become stable. I must say, I somewhat cringed when I saw her during the 'Touch My Body' era but I can proudly show SISTAR's new videos to those haters. I once read a comment on YouTube saying, "I can sense another Taemin happening". You got that right. Look at Taemin. He was a mere sub-vocal when SHINee first debuted but now, now, he's like lead vocal and he has his own solo album. on that. Anyway, what I want to say is don't just bash on idols who you see 'can't sing' or 'can't dance'. Trust me. It's not their not capable, but their often overshadowed by the other members. The same can be said about Sandara (2NE1) and Dasom. It's not that they can't sing; it's just that they're not given the chance to do so. And let me remind you not all singers can reach high notes like A5 and all. Different people have different vocal range. People who say Dasom can't sing, I'd like to see you singing using her vocal range.

Just don't worry about it. Idols are people too, you know. Thus, they will always improve themselves for the better. Taemin, Sandara, and now Dasom (and Seungri) have proven that they can indeed sing and slay at live performances. So, please think before you bashing on other idols.
