I'm a fic stealer T_T

I just found a fic that is really similar to my idea for my fic. I feel so scared LOLL. The fic is "Real.." and I don't want people to think I stole the idea from it. I kinda also think some people wouldn't care because "whatever, its just a fic" I dunno. Some people really care about that stuff. But the things that are similar is that it's online dating and the whole idea of not seeing their lovers face, but, then again, it's different because my idea is based off of Catfish. I haven't read all of "Real.." but I will continue right now! Go check it out too~ It was featured so I'm sure it's great!

If you didn't do such things so don't bother about that scared :)
And nowadays the story or storyline so mainstream, looks same

To be honest, a lot of the themes and ideas used in fanfics aren't really all that original. A lot of the concepts that authors write about have probably at some point been used by someone else. I wouldn't really worry too much about being potentially accused of plagiarism unless your story ends up looking like a carbon copy of the other author's. Besides, there are tons of online dating themed fics out there anyway.
