STYLE

Huge fashionista. Is very picky about his exterior image and dresses in very cooly. Normally prefers leather jackets, jeans, basketball shoes with his hair gelled up nicely. He dresses to impress.

THE INSIDE.

PERSONALITY

He has the personality of a total bookworm. He loves to read. From textbooks to non-fiction documentary based books to fantasy novels. He reads practically everything; preferably fantasy. He may not look that way to the outsiders however. Reading is his way of escaping from reality. He hates what he now knows as reality. Prefers books over video games or movies because movies and video games tend to all have an end. But fantasy novels involve the alternate universe in which, the story of the protagonist may end but discovering what is in that world will not.

His other way of escaping is playing on his violin that was left behind by his dear older sister. He plays songs that remind him of the memories he and she have been through. If you ever catch him playing on it, he will be completely indulged into the melodies and harmonies, maybe even sheding a tear or two from the overwhelming emotions. However, no one besides his younger sister know that this was the real reason why he continued playing the violin.

He's also very sweet and considerate. He'll always put others before himself, especially of the people he cares about most. Girls condsier him to be very romantic but he denies it. He can get shy at times which many define as cute but cute will be the last word he would ever want to hear coming from anybody's mouth.

But despite all his positive features above, he often covered those up with his nasty personality. The persona of an that he took up.

He constantly hit on girls especially on those he knows hate him. He acts to not care about others feelings and pranks people whenever he feels like it. His actions often pisses people off because these were never friendly pranks. But he never bothered to apologize.

By revolving himself around bad influences, he smokes, goes against all rules and makes himself the well known trouble maker. He skips class almost all the time which surprises people when it comes time to do tests or preformances.

He also gets into fights quite often. Most of the time is due to people judging him and his background. If anyone ever found out that he used to have an older sister and start mocking him about it, he will beat them up until they learned to shut up.

He does feel a punch to the gut sometimes whenever he hurts other people or make others cry but he never shows it. He always just brushes the feelings away and continues to deny all else.

One thing he did develop as a permenant part of his personality is his protectiveness towards himself. Although he's constantly bringing himself attention, he would shut almost anyone out of his personal life. He may seem terrifying since he pesters people so often but if people were to talk to him on a personal matter, he'd prefer to not answer so many questions.

THE OUTSIDE.

BACKGROUND

As a child, Joon was born and raised in any average family. He ate well, slept well, and had good education. Growing up, he had an older sister, Sori, whom he was very close with. Teaching him to love the violin, she was his biggest influence on this musical instrument.

He spent his time mostly going to community centre libraries to read. Sori often accompanied him and read children's books to him aloud until he was at an old enough age to read by himself. Still, she continued to visit the library with him, just to keep him company.

When he was at the age of ten, Sori commited suicide due to a break up with a boy she loved dearly. The boy left her for another girl who was much richer than she was. Not able to deal with the depression, she took her scarf and strung herself up. Joon was the first to see her hanging corpse after school one evening and was found crying under her.

It was then that Joon's life started to change darastically. He started having regular fights with his parents which lead him to move to Korea, where his parents were born.

From there, he neglected all feelings and tried to shove his past into a box, unheard of and unseen. That's when his whole personality and style changed. He became a person that nobody tends to like in school but had surprisingly good grades.

He's part of the bad boy gangs at school. Constantly breaking rules and are popluar due to the troubles they cause. Although, if Joon wasn't a bad boy, he would've definitely become a bookworm/nerd.

FAMILY

▪Kwon Sori | Age: 23 | Joon's Older Sister | Deceased. She was the person Joon was closest with.
▪ Kwon Myeong | Age: 50 | Joon's Mother | Joon used to be very close with her. She taught him to read and write Korean but he was only able to learn to read. She worries most for him while he's in Korea.
▪ Kwon Haneul | Age: 52 | Joon's Father | Joon was never really close with his father for he was always away on business trips. He is the person that Joon had the most fights with after the huge change. After Joon had decided to fly and live in Korea, Haneul neglects ever having Joon as a child.

▪ Kwon Yujin | Age: 14 | Joon's Younger Sister | Joon always took care of his younger sister and is the person that Joon consalts his woes with. He loves his sister dearly but verbally denies it. She would once in a while get into trouble for not telling their parents about him and his future plans only because Joon has requested her to keep quiet about it. Very good at keeping secrets and is the only person who understands most of his huge change.

FRIENDS

▪ Lee Hoon | Age: 19 | Joon's Friend | He was the person who was the first to befriend Joon when he first came to Korea. He has a gang made up of about 8-10 people who constantly follows him around. The most well known trouble maker in the school. However, Joon acted as if they were homies when really, he makes sure to keep a safe distance in between each other. Helped Joon persue the bad boy role which he plays now.

HOW DID YOU START LEARNING THE INSTRUMENT? DID ANYONE INSPIRE/FORCE YOU TO START?

When I was about 5 years old, I over heard Sori playing on her violin and I fell in love with it immediately, begging her to teach me how to play. From then on, I took violin lessons with my sister.

DO YOU LIKE MUSIC OR DO YOU JUST SEE IT AS PRESSURE? WHY?

I don't actually know anymore. I used to see music, love music, breathe music. Now, every time I see, I get a little frightened but when I actually start playing it, all I feel is an overwhelming emotional indulgence. I guess now, I feel music as more as beautiful memories instead.

WHAT IS YOU FAVORITE STYLE OF MUSIC? FAVORITE MUSICIAN? FAVORITE PIECES?

My favourite style of music is Baroque and Romantic. They're fun to play and sometimes can be very moving. I'd say my favourite composer is Vivaldi and my favourite song by him is his Concerto in G major, Op. 3. no. 3, RV 310.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU PLAYED THE INSTRUMENT? DO HOW OFTEN DO YOU PRACTICE?

I've been playing since I was about 5 years old so that'd be 13 years in total. I used to practice 2 hours a day but ever since Sori, it's been shortened to maybe an hour a week.
