We're all mad here
Side by side the two walked through the courtyard neither of them had spoken a word; it was a pleasant silence, almost comforting. Finally Seungyoun, who was once towering over the small girl had bent down to the height of the flowers, while Alice just watched intently and became curious as to what happened next. He gently plucked a small flower and stood up holding it out to her, gently taking it into her own hands she asked "What's this for?" The latter just smiled and responded with "Consider it a little welcoming gift." Min laughed.
"Thank you for stealing from the school just so I may have this lovely gift." She said causing a little chuckle to escape his mouth. "I would offer you the whole garden but that's beyond my power." Alice laughed "This is good enough." "Haha you secretly judging me or something? Am I mad?" He asked. Alice nodded "Seems to me like you are~ But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are." Seungyoun smiled brightly at the comment and looked at her happily. "Quoting Lewis Carol are we? But yes, I mean what can I say, we're all mad here.
However, I just happen to be the maddest one here. Afterall I'm not called the Mad Hatter for nothing~" He said with a little wink before turning forward and walking again and the girl followed suit. "Really? That's your alias? You're the hatter?" "Yup. Oh yeah and about the whole thing you said earlier y'know 'bout us being monsters and all umm..." "They were my mom's words not mine. She would always tell me that when I was younger." "No offense to your mom but I think she's wrong. We're not exactly monsters just..different." Alice looked at him and nodded. "I guess." She said and Seungyeon stopped in front of Alice's dorm room. "And that concludes our tour!" He said brightly and She laughed. "Thanks but all you did was walk around without explaining anything to me~ You're not a very tour guide y'know." Seungyoun just shrugged.
"At least I did something. By the way dinner's at 5:00 someone will come get you by then. See ya later." He said with a smile and walked away waving. Alice entered her quarters and looked at the flower which had still been in her grasp. "Well mom, it's not so bad here." It was 5 o'clock sharp and Alice had been fetched from her room just as Seungyoun had said. She followed behind the guy who had introduced himself as Byunghun or L.joe which he had preferred to be called. "How was y-your tour?" He asked trying to fill the silence. "It was..interesting?" "Seungyoun did a horrible job guiding you huh?" "Hehe sorta." L.joe smiled and turned to face her "How bout next time I give you a proper tour?" Alice smiled cheekily and nodded "I'd like that." L.joe smiled once more and turned back continuing towards their destination. "This right here is the dining room. Breakfast is served 9:00 am sharp, lunch 12:00 pm, and lastly dinner at 5:00.
It was dinner time and everyone sat in their respective seats eating quietly. Some would strike up a conversation but it would just end shortly after it started. Suddenly Seungyon stood up and raised his glass. "I'd like to dedicate this toast to the newbie and the only girl here, Alice." he said and shot her a quick smile. Everyone else followed and they all shared a toast and resumed their nice little meal. Alice smiled to herself happy to finally be surrounded by people once again, but little did she know that some else had seen that smile and grinned seeing her happy expression.
Back in her room, Alice plopped down into her bed exhausted by the events that had happened and she thought back to all of them but was soon interrupted by a voice. "I snuck you a brownie...but I ate it." Seungyoun said as he walked in. "How nice of you." she said sitting up. "Don't you think you should at least knock?" "I probably should, but then I remember that I'm mad and it's just not in my character to be normal. I'm uniq. And I remember being ttold that all the best people are sooo I'm gonna go with it." Alice smiled and nodded.
"What are you doing here anyways?" "Sleepover?" he said tilting his head to the side. "Go back to your room" Alice said shaking her head. "I'm offended. Why won't you sleep with me?" "Because you're weird." "Deal with it." "I am." "Touche~" he replied and Alice laughed. Seunyoun turned the doorknob and before exiting he turned back to look at her and spoke. "You know I'm glad you're here. Maybe know we'll be an actual team." Alice smiled and replied. "Thanks. I'm glad to be here too." "Goodnight. Sleep tight." "Night."
