So I just finished reading Zoella's book, Girl Online. And I thought about my writing because although I write on here for FF's, I also write stories of my own, and have done since my mother brought me a writing pad when I started secondary school, I was always a doodler so she thought it would stop me from doodling in my work books. However, instead of doodling I used to write little scenarios of how my day could have turned out. Whether the teacher decided to call on me for an answer I obviously wouldn't know... or if that cute boy I had a major crush on since my first day in Year 7 would ever talk to me? Ask me out? Be his girlfriend. To even simple friendship activities. I wrote down thoughts and feelings, but now sitting here at 21 years old I think I want to share with the world my dream of writing. I wrote my first completed novel, it's an adventure/fantasy with characters I created and scenery I dreamt of, it was amazing to finish something for the first time and I wanted to share what inspires me. So here it is:

The first thing that inspires me is reading other peoples work, yes other books! I love reading and my collection has grown to-- well alot. Let's leave that there... lol. But seriously though, when I read about a character or world someone like me has thought about and created it inspires me to create something too. 

The second thing is people. I'm a people watcher, guilty as charged and my heroine in my novel is a character I created by combining my niece's personalities, expressions and movements. I see people doing something so simple as walking in a certain way and incorporate it into my work.

The third thing is places I've seen, I recently went to South Korea and met some amazing people and seen some amazing things. But my highlight was that small shopping mart across from my goshiwon, which was run by the same lady every day. 7 days a week, it was old and humid, but smelt fresh and sweet. It was the weirdest combinations and so... I went back to my goshiwon, opened the window listening to the karaoke bar and wrote about the cute ajumma who told me I was beautiful and well spoken. That I was polite and different from alot of Americans, to which I obviously corrected her saying I was English...
