Last surgery update (probably) & Hiatus :( Please read!! Prepare to read a long explanation.

I had many people asked me why my surgery was pushed back from December 21st to the summer. Hopefully this will explain better since I took more time to write and think of words to say.

Initially..it was held back because of the new masses I had found on both sides after my sonogram in October. My evaluation doctor and surgeon wanted me to do a new sonogram of all 4 masses to see if any of them were regular cysts. 2 were just regular cysts (which were the ones I was feeling discomfort pain from) & 2 weren't.
For those that do not know, cysts are benign and can cause some level of discomfort or pain to most people. For me it was just annoying discomfort pain.

Second, b/c I have a thyroid disorder, I had to do blood work for my anesthesiologist.
My thyroid level results were a bit high and my doctor was worried that the anesthesiologist wouldn't want to go ahead with my surgery if it was high, so my evaluation doctor was worried that the anesthesiologist would not proceed with the surgery. So my regular doctor had to change my dosage. When I met the anesthesiologist he gave the okay to proceed with surgery because my high thyroid level was minor.

I then saw my surgeon last Friday (on Jan. 6th), she went through my old records and said it was a possibility that I would have these lesions (lesions could be either cysts or benign tumors) throughout my life probably..
She proposed an idea that I could do a double bilateral mastectomy w/ reconstruction (A mastectomy is surgical the partially or complete removal of one or both s) & that I was an excellent candidate for the surgery...so I could avoid coming back year after year & avoid having to go through sonograms, biopsy & surgery and sustain more internal scarring than I need.

The only pros and cons my surgeon had to made a point to me though was the cons are I would lose any sensation whatsoever in my s, and it might be a problem if I ever have children and feed but the pros are pretty much what I had wrote earlier...I would avoid more internal scars and damage than I need and I would still keep my actual s.

Last reason..I will need more healing time. I don't know if it is a same day surgery and go home the same day like the last time, but I don't think it would be. The surgeon told me I might heal in 3 wks physically speaking (internally it will be a very long time, I still have internal scarring from my surgery back in March '11), but I did look up and did a bit of research and it pretty much varies on different people. I'm still young and healthy so my healing time might not be so long.

As you all know, I hated waiting and I just wanted to just get the surgery over with. However, I think it's my best option than having to find a new lesion and have surgery constantly and have more internal scarring than I need.

As for my stories and oneshots I will sadly be on hiatus. I have school again on the 17th.
Once in a while I'll post an update. IF I can. No guarntees.
