Haeun doesn't like piercings, the fact that she has to pay to look pretty, she just disagrees.
Haeun though she doesn't bother much about fashion, still wants to look presentable. She mixed and matches a lot and is often found wearing jeans. She loves wearing shirts with sleeves to the elbow, together with a pair of comfortable loafers. Haeun doesn't acessorize much and found not a need to. She always carries around her favourite red checkered sling bag. She is also myopic, but has a low degree so she often only put her glasses on during class.

PERSONALITY TRAITS » Intelligent, Witty, Friendly , Disciplined, Honest, & Perfectionist, Narrow minded, Distant, Self-centered, Insecure,
PERSONALITY »

"Haeun, you mean the top student? Man, I wish I had her studying genes."
Gi Haeun, a name that is not uncommon among her peers. She was always the top student in her level and was often well praised for that as well. Funny how despite being so intelligent, she was never classified as a nerd but others look up to her and never asked her for her homework or get her to do theirs, well maybe just that one guy. Haeun always told her peers that it was really hardwork, but never denied the fact that because of her smart brain, it definitely helped her as well. Her witty comebacks also helps with anyone who tries to talk her down.

"She is quite a nice person, overall. Quite a good friend to talk to..."

Besides the sometimes intimidating things she may say, Haeun is quite the friendly girl. Though she draws a clear line between friends and peers, she is generally quite good to those who mean no harm to her. She was helping out at the student council once and did made friends with many juniors under her. She may not be the over-the-top, bursting with love and cheeriness kind of girl but  putting aside her seemingly cold demeanor, she can be quite down to earth. Which is probably why many of her friends in the University are all younger than her, some take her as a cool Unnie or their favourite tutor. (She tries to give them simple tuition classes, whenever she can) Though sometimes, when asked of opinions (especially that!), she can be downright honest with you, without batting her eyelids. "Thr truth hurts sometimes." she would say and walk away without any remorse.

"No youtube for a week? I wonder how she does that!"
Discipline was always in the genes of her family, thus when there was a downfall of her parents getting caught, it was a shock to so many as no one could imagine her father embezzling funds. When she set her mind on doing something, Haeun would make sure that it will be done, no matter how insignificant it may be. And this discipline has helped her through the years in her studies or even trying to handle the outrageous emotions she feels bottling inside, she knows she has to have everything in control, which brings us to the next point where Haeun is a perfectionist. Be it her reputation, or work, she wants to be in control of everything. She hates it when things get changed last minute or when things don't go the way she planned it to be.

Her secret self
Behind the mask of a friendly intelligent girl, lies one that feels like she has seen it all. Haeun feels that her problems, no one can understand, thus she keeps it hidden in her secret compartment in her heart. She is very narrow minded, believing certain methods are used for a reason and is not too keen on opening up to new ideas. She never really likes to socialise in a big crowd unless there is a clear need to, or the person asking is persistent enough. She sometimes appear very distant and is someone who enjoys having lots of alone time, which is why she doesn't struggle much to have her meals alone. There are times when she can gets very self centered and insecure. Knowing her past is not the best, Haeun is determined to make her future bright., never to walk in her parents footsteps, or to even be associated with that. And this makes her think of putting things in her best advantage. She thrives on her reputation of the top student, but without that title, all she feels is her emptiness and insecurity inside.

Overall, Haeun can be described as a girl, ever since that incident, who never really stop to smell the fresh flowers at the side. In her mind was that one goal to succeed in life and to get away from the clutches of her past. Love to her is definitely absurd, why would others put it as the first thing in their lives, that has never failed to boggle her mind.

BACKGROUND » Haeun has never forgotten that incident that changed her life forever. She always thought she had a great family. They were quite well to do and had no lack. However when she was 13, her father said that they were going to have a fun trip overseas and that her mother had packed her clothes and items. Haeun being excited dashed to the car to see her parents getting ready numerous lugagges. Out of the blue, a few cars surrounded their garage. Her father tried to run but many guys came out of the car and grabbed him, pinning him down to his car. Her mother too was pinned down and both were handcuffed.

Neighbours that lived in the surrounding houses ran out to see what was going on and soon a crowd formed around her home. Haeun herself was escorted by one of the men to a car. Frightened, she bite his right hand and tried to run. But the man caught her and put her in the car. No one said anything, only her parents kept shooting apologetic looks at her and her mother was even trying hard not to cry. It was later then Haeun realized her parents were being arrested and it was all over the news.

Her parents were being questioned while Haeun remembers sitting on that cold hard bench, her young mind can't wrap around the fact that her loving parents were criminals. She overheard the policemen saying that her parents were kidnappers and that her father embezzled funds from his company in which he was a manager of. When he got found out, he was forced to pay up but was soon to declare bankrupt. Feeling nothing but injustice, he decides to kidnap his boss's son who was a CEO of a huge shopping mall. They had even suffocated the young boy. The news constantly reported how cruel her parents were and how they should be put to death.

Life went chaotic for Haeun since then. Her parents were sentenced for life imprisonment  and she was to be put in an orphanage. She was bombarded with reporters everyday when she was there for a week who all stated how unfair it was for her to stay alive when the son of a influential man had to die in her parents' hands.

It was then when her paternal aunt took her in. Her aunt was an avid gambler and would spent all her money on horse betting. And once it ran out, she borrowed from loan sharks. Haeun had to live days of hiding and crying alone till she was 18. She was in a sense, able to live on her own and that year her aunt decided to hit the road and never came back. The loan sharks still came to pester her and tried taking advantage of her. Haeun herself had many nightmares where these loansharks sucessfully her and would cry herself to sleep. Many times she would hide in Yoo Jung's home. Finally when she was 19, she moved out., out of that old house and registered in a new school with her grandmother's last name.  She rented a room at Yoojung's home and insisted that she would pay. She would earn money but selling the notes she took in class, tuition classes and editing scripts. She never forgot what her mother last told her "Study hard, do your job well as a student then you will be able to earn money and not end up like your Appa and myself. Don't come and visit us, I forbid you too, you understand? Take it that we are dead."

Haeun pushed herself to study hard and have always been the top student. One day, loan sharks started appearing at Yoojung's home, causing trouble with her and her family, threatening to burn the house down if she didn't pay. Haeun realized that her aunt had found out where she was staying and have been using this address and her number to borrow money from loansharks. She decided that enough is enough, she didn't want to cause harm to Yoojung and her family who have been nothing but kind to her. She moved out and when it was advertised there were openings in a house near her school, she knew she would save a lot on time and transport and decided to move there.

Haeun thought that it was all over. Till rumours started to spread about her parents being blood cold criminals, she have no idea who found out. As much as she wanted to defend herself, Haeun couldn't. The worst thing was her aunt coming to find her in school creating a ruckus, saying she changed her ways and wanted to borrow money to invest in a business. She also told Haeun that her mother fell ill and died an unknown death in prison. To her reputation was very important and Haeun's nightmare has resurfaced. All she wanted was a normal life, not to live under a title of a muderer's daughter.

FRIENDS »

best friend | Kim Yoo Jung | 20 | Student | Yoo Jung is a rather bubbly social butterfly. She can get a little nosy but is great friend to have. Yoojung was her first student when she first offered tution classes. Her father was Haeun's previous landlord and somehow the two clicked even though they were total opposites. Yoo Jung often pesters Haeun to attend parties with her, much to Haeun's dismay.

close friend | Kim Minseok | 23 | Taekwondo Instructor | Minseok is like a the fatherly figure with his group of friends, he is a pretty honest guy who gives really good advice. He can get quite quiet but seems to have no problem making friends. He was a senior in the school when Haeun just joined in and showed her around. Haeun, though she didn't know it, had a tiny crush on him till he appeared at her home one day, that she realized he just started dating Yoo Jung who was also in Taekwondo. Minseok knows Mandarin as well so when Yoojung and the two of them hang out, Haeun would purposely converse in Mandarin with Minseok to annoy Yoojung.

LOVE INTEREST » Byun Baekhyun
BACKUP LOVE INTEREST » Mark Tuan
AGE » 21
NICKNAMES » Bacon, Boss (by his friends as a joke), Dumbbaek (when Haeun talks about him behind his back. But he is aware of this nickname cause he often sneaks behind her back)

PERSONALITY » Annoying, Cocky, Not the brightest bulb, Flirty, Social Butterfly but warm and sweet moments.
Baekhyun is the kind of guy you see in the movies where he walks around the hall, cheesy music is playing and he high fives the guys, winks at the girls. He is indeed well known as one of the popular guys, well his whole group of friends are. Baekhyun himself, definitely knows his place and uses it to its full advantage. He gets annoying as being a big bully is probably his hobby. But wierdly, he chooses people to bully and somehow Haeun seem to be a target he likes the most. He is not the smartest person and sometimes would fail his subjects, but fearing his grandfather, he would get nerds (or in this case Haeun) to do his homework for him so that he doesn't get into trouble. He enjoys teasing girls, especially those that are more shy and laughs at their reddened faces. He loves hanging out in big groups and definitely loves being in the center of attention.

However deep inside, Baekhyun is jealous of those smartass people. He wished he could be his grandfather's pride instead of disappointment. He doesn't have much of a goal in life and is clueless what he wants to do in the future. The him on the exterior just hopes others find him funny and wants all the attention but soon will find out the whole earth does not revolve around him. He can be a warm and friendly with his close group of friends and has moments where he does something nice for them because he trusts them so much and is in return loyal as well. He would run after things that he really likes and he cherish the friendships he has.

RELATIONSHIP » Haeun and Baekhyun started out bickering. Haeun refused to go down without a fight. But soon after she found out who he wa, she decided it would be safe not to. Besides,, she got sick and tired of it and pretty much let Baekhyun do whatever he please. That was where Baekhyun declared that he was the only one who can step on Haeun's toes. He still found her pretty and would often tell her that but she would just roll her eyes and continue whatever she is doing.

To her, he was just another kid she couldn't handle. But soon later, she got comfortable with having him around, though it annoys her to no end. Yoo Jung herself commented that all Haeun could talk about was how annoying he was. Which was similar to Baekhyun who kept revolving around Haeun making his friends question whether he likes her. He totally denies it and laughs it off.

One day, when Baekhyun was happily kicking her chair, Haeun turned around and just told him to stop it. He realized how tired she look which was different from her emotionless expression. (Yes, he could tell) He decided to follow her out the school gate when he witness her aunt approaching her asking her for money. He heard her quarelling with her aunt whom she hasn't met since she last moved. This caused a scene at the school gate but her aunt refused to leave. Baekhyun took it upon himself and dragged the shocked Haeun away. He dragged her to en empty classroom and forced her to spill what was going on if not she couldn't leave. Haeun didn't know why, but it was like a door opening up to everything in her life. She told him pretty much everything. Baekhyun after hearing, left without a word.

The next day, Haeun was worried. What if he told everyone? But Baekhyun acted normally, annoying and bullying her. In some way, she felt happy that he did not change the way he acted around her. A week later, rumours started spreading regarding Haeun parents, who she was really. Haeun felt herself falling apart, she found it hard to concentrate studying. But it was Baekhyun who announced that they were childhood friends and it didn't happen. Though it didn't helped much, because many just thought that he was fooling around but Haeun found herself drawn towards him. She couldn't imagine what would happen if he wasn't there. Thats when Yoojung concluded her feelings for Baekhyun. But it was too absurd for Haeun to fall for him and she couldn't help but to keep denying. Meanwhile, the loansharks found Haeun's school.

FIRST MEETING » Haeun was pretty much annoyed and was certain her new lecturer was a kindegarten teacher previously as he actually assigned seats for her whole class treating them like kids. She sat down in front of this guy who kept grinning at her which she found creepy but didn't think about it soon after. During lunch break, Haeun sat alone and was about to eat when someone sat opposite her, with the same grin. "You're pretty." Baekhyun commented and was hoping to get the response most girls would have. Near them wolf whistles could be heard as his friend . Haeun didn't want trouble on the first day and was about to eat when Baekhyun snatched her food. Haeun tried to get it back from him but he ended up hopping away from her and in the midst of it, in anger, she retorted. "Did you escape from Neverland or did your parents forgot to teach you to grow up?" That was when the headmaster walked past and requested to see her.

Later she found out he was the headmaster's grandson whom she cannot afford to offend. The next day when they had a surprise test, everyone almost couldn't make it while Haeun came in top. Baekhyun then started kicking her chair, asking her for help. She tried helping him but Baekhyun got greedier and commanded her to do his homework. Gritting her teeth she did so. Now, every lunchbreak her lunch would be his and she was pretty sure her became smaller from all that chair kicking.
Goodbye
SCENE REQUESTS »
- Haeun tearing up and Baekhyun awkwardly patting her shoulder,
- Haeun refusing to take sick leave when she obviously was running a fever, Baekhyun had to dragged her to the sick bay and accompanied her the whole day.
- Haeun thanking Baekhyun by making a really nice lunchbox for him which till now he couldn't believe it.
COMMENTS / QUESTIONS » Oh man, I think I overwrote and went a bit off topic in regards to her personality but got a little lazy to rewrite everything. I guess I have to wait for your omments to know what you think? I really like this plotline! Let me know if her background wasn't "dark' enough, wanted to try out something rather than mafia though that was the first thing that came to mind :) Inspired by the incidents of the drama Pinnochio, if the background needs to be darker, I will edit it and gear towards something like what was presented in the drama.I feel like this app is missing something, I am not too sure. Anyways can't wait to hear from you! Thanks!
