appearance — Kyungjoon is 177cm and weighs 60kg. He is a very pale skinny boy. Many people assume him of being frail and sickly. He has jet-black hair and his eyes are a deep shade of grey. He has no tattoos or piercings but he does have a giant scar on his chest. Another distinct feature of him is his black fingernails and toenails.  

style — Kyungjoon is quite picky when it comes to his fashion sense. He prefers wearing modern and fancy clothing. It is not because he yearns for attention but because he is obsessed with looking his best and finds someone's physical appearance and style as significant. Clothes that are thick and dark also fit in Kyungjoon's preferences. He is also one of the few men in the world who can pull off turtle necks.

An extremely flamboyant and lively young man who goes around grinning and making fun of everyone. Kyungjoon is very playful to the point when you'll really want to punch him in the face. He likes to make fun of an individual's flaws and enjoys pointing them out. Apathetic and harsh, Kyungjoon will remind you of one of Disney's supervillians. Because of this, many tend to dislike his presence despite his undeniable charisma. But do not be fooled by his good looks and charm, Kyungjoon is a sadistic bastard who likes watching others suffer. He looks at other human beings with disdain and has an apparent problem with authority. Playing with other people is something he does for fun and he wouldn't let you stop him once he's got an eye on something he likes. People always makes deals with him because they know he always keeps his end of the bargain. But you must keep yours as well because he wouldn't let you get away unscatched if you didn't. Another thing is that he is exceedingly vain and enjoys showing off his looks. Kyungjoon does things differently and isn't the type of person to take the easy way out of anything. He is also childish when it comes to making deals and tends to throw tantrums if you don't give him what he wants. Tricking other people just to see the devastated look on their faces is his hobby. The worst part is, he does all this for fun.

Despite this, Kyungjoon is brave and always tries new things without fear. He is daring and adventurous who keeps an open mind regarding atypical topics. Generally a fearless man with an unbending persona, he takes pride in his boldness and abilities. Also a quick-witted young man who always recovers from problems or trials that come his way. He plans things carefully and neatly to make sure not to have any setbacks on the way. Cautious and vigilant, he always makes it through the minor bumps in the road with ease. He is also the type of person who never chooses a side but his own.

background — Kyungjoon was born to a rich family in Chuncheon, SK. The youngest of three brothers, he is accustomed to the luxurious lifestyle offered to him by his parent's wealth. His family is also rumored to be one of the richest families in Korea. A reason for most to assume that his father is a corrupt politician. Kyungjoon's family was unfazed by the whispers and ignored the groundless accusations. Despite their pampered life, Kyungjoon was fond to illness and had a short life expectancy. Kyungjoon grew up in a very strict and religious household. Coming from an upper-class family, he has been taught to act in a very elegant and formal manner. His mother was a full-time housewife while his father was a renown politician.

When he was 6, Kyungjoon was diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease. He had to undergo a dangerous surgery that left an apparent scar on his chest. Eventhough Kyungjoon survived the surgery, the doctors told his parents that his heart was still very sensitive and that they should still be cautious of his health. The stress of the situation caused Kyungjoon's mother to become extremely protective of him. He was prohibited from any social contact and was isolated from the outside world. Although Kyungjoon didn't like this, he couldn't do anything about it. He was home-schooled to avoid engaging towards any physical activities. Instead his mother taught him how to play the violin and grand piano. Everyone in town looked up to her as a good mother. If only they knew, Kyungjoon would say. His mother was exremely paranoid and delusional. She would forbid Kyungjoon of doing anything without her permission. Meanwhile, his father was always absent due to the fact that all his attention was in politics.  Kyungjoon felt like a dog inside her house especially when each one of his brothers began to leave to pursue different careers. Once he could no longer tolerate his mother's antics, he tried to run away from home. But he was captured by his father's men and brought back to their household. Kyungjoon's mother convinced a psychiatrist that he was insane and sedated him just to keep him at home. He was treated like a mental patient and was tied to his bed. His mother simply insisted that it was "what's best for him". From that day, Kyungjoon swore to himself that he would find a way to ruin his own family's name. It was also the day that Kyungjoon became the cruel and sadistic person he is.

Finally, when he turned 21, his father let him manage an old pawnshop that was owned by the family. That was where he learned how to make deals with different types of people. It somehow became his obsession. His malicious deals and somewhat devilish demeanor earned him a reputation of being the "spawn of Satan" with people from his hometown. He managed the pawnshop for two years. When he finally managed to make connections with a lot of powerful people, he made a deal with one of his father's subordinates. His father's crimes were exposed to the media and his image was forever ruined. Although their family name was still influential, the controversy lead to a major setback in the family businesses. Once the family found out of Kyungjoon's involvement in the matter, they immediately kicked him out of the house. 

Kyungjoon finally moved to Seoul to continue his pawn business with his leftover savings. He was able to restart his business successfully. He went by the name Mr. Mills at the time to void himself from his family's name. However, Kyungjoon was still bored out of his mind and wanted something more exciting to do with his life. One day, one of his regular customers Shin Sungrok, wanted to strike a deal with him regarding an old circus that he wanted torn down. Sungrok, knowing that Kyungjoon would be interested in supporting the circus, told him to not even try to provide the circus with any type of support. Kyungjoon accepted in exchange for Sungrok's watch.

Of course, Ahn Kyungjoon always finds a loop.

He didn't support the circus. He joined the circus.

Father ;; Ahn Hyunsoo | 58 | politician | strict, level-headed, ignorant, passive | Hyunsoo doesn't care for Kyungjoon whatsoever. Yeah, he gave him things and paid for all his expenses but he didn't really care about his well-being. He was oblivious of the fact that Kyungjoon ruined his reputation.

Mother ;; Ahn Seoah | 56 | housewife | protective, cruel, selfish | Kyungjoon's crazy mother who is the reason for his rather... cruel behavior. Seoah comes to visit him from time to time only to tell Kyungjoon how much he loathes him. There is a certain animosity between the two which Kyungjoon dislikes talking about.

Brother ;; Ahn Junho | 33 | doctor | serious, idealistic, sweet | They've practically lost all contact after he left Chuncheon.

Brother ;; Ahn Minhyun | 28 | shop manager | funny, humorous, kind | Much like his other brother, Kyungjoon has lost all contact with him.

ACT — Knife throwing (Kyungjoon was always a very sharp man. Both literally and figuratively. He doesn't have a lot of experience in knife throwing but did play darts when he was a child. It's not the same but he's trying. He also hides a picture of his mother in his room that he throws knives or darts at when he's bored. He tries his best to listen to Yeonmin and to eventually learn the art of knife throwing.)

offstage — Kyungjoon is basically the healer backstage. He has a few worn out skills in binding wounds and whatnot but nothing advance. He's one of the oldest it's kind of his responsibility.

what do you think of cirque des rêves ? — I thinks it's a wonderful place. [grins] Filled with fun and surprises. Oh, I love surprises. It is a little drafty in here but what could I say? All good thigs come with a price, right?

what decided you to join the crew ? — Well, it is a feeling that eventually everyone will get after being stuck in a shop for years. Boredom. I was simply bored of all the money and power that was offered to me and thought hey, why not do something foolishly fun? Like well... join a circus. [chuckles]

WHAT did you think of yeonmin the first time you saw him ? — An exquisite young lad, is he not? Borned with the appearance of a monster but with the heart of an angel. To be frank, I didn't know that angels still exist anymore. Such a shame that a precious gem like Yeonmin has to be hidden from the world. Such a shame. 

WHAT are your thoughts on the dare ? — Oh, Sungrok's dares never fail to fascinate me. Well, he definitely doesn't like losing so I think it would be quite... interesting to see him go head to head with a poor helpless boy like Yeonmin. Oh dear, I would love to see the look on that little snake's face if his plans backfire on him.  

WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE / TALENT IN ANYTHING RELATED TO CIRCUS ACTS BEFORE JOINING THE CREW ? — I wasn't informed that I needed to have any. Truthfully, the only thing I do comparable to throwing knives is darts... and maybe I might have butchered a picture of my mother at my house [raises an eyebrow]. I would like to learn more though. It looks fun.

He's not a sociopath, I swear. xD He's just a really broken person. Btw, i watch Black Butler, too. Sebastian Michaelis is too dam hawt.

- A scene of his mother visiting him and the two of them talking calmly but are actually saying very spiteful words to each other.
- Sungrok sees Kyungjoon performing and asked him about their deal. Kyungjoon retaliates by saying "You told me not to support the circus, I didn't. I joined the circus.
- Yeonmin stops by Kyungjoon's house and asks him of his mother's picture that was hanging in his room with darts surrounding it. Kyungjoon simply says that it's not his damn business.
