+The girl who wants to make a name for herself. Being the sister of Girls' Generation's Sooyoung and leading theatre actress Choi Soojin was never the easiest and happiest task Sooyeon could ask for. She was always the one who needed to prove herself so much. And for years, being a trainee under her sister's company, has tormented her into being the best despite of the difficulties one could decipher. 

+I want to be considered cute too-- but not through aegyo. Being the tallest member in her group has never given her justice when it comes to aegyo. During broadcasts, she has always been considered the rather serious type and not the one where they can call her cutie for this girl is definitely not the type to be the aegyo-filled one. So members would usually pick on her being the one to express aegyo in the worst way, constantly teasing her about how she never has been able to show the cute side of her. But despite of this, she still is the girl who seeks to be treated as a cute little girl by someone she likes.

+Me, Ice Princess? That's what they say. Specially with how the people sees her, they usually think that she is the icy and bratty type. Often taking attention is that her facade is more on the quiet and serious type rather than that of the bubbly and open one and so she is often compared to SNSD's Jessica who shares the same name as her, continuously giving them nicnames like ice sisters or so to live up to their same icy facade.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

+THE START - Choi Sooyeon was born in Gwangju, Gyeongi, South Korea on the 7th of July in year 1993. She is the youngest daughter of Choi Jungnam, chief architect of a contracting firm, and Moon Sohee, opera teacher now turned housewife. As a young child, she grew up in the loving arms of her parents and older sisters, Choi Soojin and Choi Sooyoung. With the influence of the people around her, who are mostly that of highly respected people in the society, she was brought up to be proper lady as well as to be one of them. And with the family having the bloodline of famous architects starting from that of her great and grandparents, she was expected to be the successor of such legacy specially with her sisters giving hints towards their liking for the music industry.

+SACRIFICES - For years, she has shown diligence on her studies always finishing in the upper rank of her class, she as well made friends despite of her rather introvert-like personality and nature. Yet as she turned the age of 9 she needed to leave the life she had in Korea in order for her sister to pursue her dreams. She, long with her family, moved to Tokyo, Japan as a moving step towards her sister Sooyoung's career in music. There, she once again started from scratch where living was more difficult due to the gap in languages. But after 4 years, they again have decided to move back to Korea for once again the sake of her sister's dream. And there, she was met with the suddden boost in her sister's popularity.
