appearance — tsuki isn't like most boys, having a body of a twelve year old and being quite feminine with his big eyes. he doesn't let that bother him at all, sometimes even pranking bullies into thinking he's a girl to watch them freak out.
fashion style — tsuki doesn't have a set fashion style. he likes whatever is in style that day, but one thing is for sure. his cat ears, his precious cat ears. they were the first birthday present hareta ever gave him and he makes sure to wear them every single day, regardless of his attire. he does tend to wear baggy clothing to hide how small his body really is.

personality

→ “ i'm honest, i swear! ”

- tsuki hates beating around the bush and definitely hates lying to others. he is honest and that is that. most of the time it can be brutal, especially when it comes to anything gossip because he'll just end up telling everyone. why keep it a secret if it essientially will hurt or make someone happy? that's is what tsuki lives by. there are absolutely no secrets between him and hareta and he definitely doesn't keep any secrets to his friends (though he knows they keep secrets from him, but he doesn't mind).

→ “ smiles cure everything ”

- despite everything that has happened in tsuki's life, he still remains cheerful as possible. forever the optimist, he always has a big smile on his face. why be depressed about one thing when there is plenty of things to be happy about? other kids usually think he's weird that he's always happy all the time, but he doesn't let that get to him. he still has his moments when he pouts and broods, but he'll be back with a smile in no time.

→ “ don't talk about the future... ”

- tsuki doesn't like talking about the future one bit. who knows what might happened? he doesn't like to think about what could happen. it frightens him. shouldn't we focus on the now instead of tomorrow? tsuki honestly doesn't care what happens to him in the future. he only cares about the present and the now. he's too busy worrying about his favorite digimon players than to worry about college.

→ “ digimon is life!!1! ”

- tsuki is one big child. stubborn when he doesn't get his way, cries when he gets hurt, etc. hareta might be a bit to blame as he spoiled him rotten, but this is just tsuki's nature. he is a definite child when it comes to anything digimon, you can even get him to sit down when the ice cream truck comes by. he gets called out on his childishness all the time, but he doesn't care and just continues on being him.

likes — digimon, hareta, his friends, shounen ai mangas, romance novels, paintings, and digimon (wait a minute...).
dislikes — violence, crying, bringing up his past, getting bullied, no internet connection, bedtimes, and horror movies.
habits — fanboying about his favorite digimon players, calling or texting hareta all the time, wearing cat ears and matching tail, sqeals when too excited, blushes and bites his lip when he's nervous, and holding hareta's hand whenever they are together.
hobbies — painting with hareta, fanboying over digimon, karaoke, reading, hanging out with hareta, and collecting shounen ai mangas.
trivia —

→ definitely a diginoob when it comes to actually participating in matches (but he doesn't let it get to him).
→ his room is filled with hundreds of digimon plushies. don't judge.
→ always has manga in his hands at all times. again, don't judge.
→ has a knack for cooking, especially anything breakfast related (what? pancakes are the bomb).
→ knows all the top digimon players by hand, memorising all their strategies and defenses (he has no life, okay).

→ loves, loves, loves playing pranks on his friends (especially shiori because she is so dramatic).
→ despite being obsessed with digimon, tsuki has a smaller obsession with sailor moon.
→ courage and friendship are his number one favorite digimon players, he would literally faint if he ever got to meet them in real life.

background

→ “ orphaned and lonely, that was me ”

- tsuki never really had a family. his mother quickly gave him up to the orphanage because she was too young to take care of a child. for five years, tsuki grew up in the orphanage. his life there wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. he was picked on because he was smaller and more feminine than the other boys. it didn't help that he had started having a liking towards digimon. thanks to the poor orphanage, tsuki never really got anything digimon related and was only able to see battles when it was his turn to control the tv. it wasn't a life a child would never wish for.

→ “ yamada family both saved and destroyed my life ”

- at the ripe age of five, tsuki finally found a family that loved him just as much as he did. families hardly liked the small boy, wanting something more boyish and strong, but this family was different. they had a son, but he was currently away on abroad study. they were lonely, not being able to handle such a quiet house without their son. so they when to the orphanage to see if the could fine a cute boy to help them fill the void.

- they were perfect for tsuki. they were patient with him, but they made sure to spoil the poor boy as they saw how the orphanage was with most of the kids. tsuki couldn't ask for more. this family cared for him as if he was their own. it's all he ever wanted, someone to call his family. they saw the interest he had in digimon and they made sure to get him plenty of toys and would take him to some matches to watch. the smile on tsuki's face warmed their hearts with joy.

- all good stories come to an end though, right? sadly, tsuki lost his family right on his tenth birthday. they were on their way to pick them up from school when a drunk driver crashed into them. it was horrifying to say the least. tsuki doesn't like thinking about their death.

→ “ then came hareta ”

- of course, tsuki began to freak out afterwards. would he be sent back to the orphanage? he didn't want that, he didn't want to go back being ridiculed for being smaller than the rest. he just wanted his family back. thank goodness on the day of the funeral, tsuki finally met yamada hareta.

- that day and so on, hareta worked hard to get custody of tsuki. why? tsuki didn't know. he had never met hareta, only seen pictures and heard stories from his parents. all he knew was that he was studying art in france. their relationship was rocky at first, tsuki not knowing hareta at all, but it seemed hareta knew a lot about tsuki (his parents sent pictures and wrote letters to him practically everyday). hareta confessed to tsuki that he was extremely sorry for never being there for the boy, but seeing those smiling pictures of tsuki was his muse and he wanted to see tsuki smile forever.

- after getting custody of tsuki, their relationship became really close. tsuki was so close to losing his family once and he won't let them go this time. hareta was patient and sweet to him, just like his parents. he was a perfect role model, despite their skinship that practically screams weird in some people's eyes. tsuki was hareta's personal treasure.

- continuing to grow up, tsuki's interest in digimon became an obsession. hareta, despite spoiling the out of him, worried when the boy's grades began to slip. sometimes he would get a call he wouldn't pay attention in class or even skipped it all together! holy intervention was called for immediately. hareta didn't want to tsuki go down a bad road. they had a long talk in when hareta was able to get tsuki back on track with school work while balancing his obsession with digimon. if he couldn't get tsuki to stop with digimon, might as well help him balance everything.

→ “ i love you, tsuki-koi ” - guardian - yamada hareta (山田晴れた) - 27 - freelance artist - protective, calm, reserved, sensual, paranoid - hareta & tsuki's relationship is very complicated. at first look, one would think they are lovers with all the obivous touches and kisses. in actual reality, hareta is just extremely protective of tsuki. when asked what is his relation is with tsuki, he will always answer with the same thing every time. "tsuki is my everything." in simplier words, he's just like an older brother/father to tsuki, like a brother complex of sorts. tsuki loves hareta (in a familial way) and admires him. tsuki wants to be just like hareta when he grows up. - fc. agatsuma soubi (loveless)

→ “ oi, neko ” - yokubo akano (赤野) - 17 - student - flirtatious, clumsy, pompous - how does one describe akano and tsuki's relationship? tsuki honestly hates him, but then again, he can't help but love the idiot. despite their everyday bickering, they honestly need each other because how else will akano remember his locker number combination? he's honestly an idiot under his charming looks. - fc. raikou shimizu (nabari no ou)

  
→ “ guys are so stupid! ” - himura shiori (緋村しおり) - 17 - student - dramatic, stubborn, childish - shiori popped into tsuki's life out of nowhere. tsuki remembers waiting for akano and witnessed a girl shouting profanities at an shaken akano (akano later told tsuki that he bumped into her). she's definitely one for dramatics, always yelling and wanting everything to go her way. despite that she goes to an all girl's school, tsuki and company always find time to hang out with her after school or on the weekends. don't underestimate her short height, she's plain evil. - fc. shiemi moriyama (ao no exorcist)

  
→ “ how did we become friends again? ” - kanashimi urami (悲しみ裏見) - 17 - student - intelligent, impassive, moody - urami is one of tsuki's newest friends. urami used to be a renowned digimon player when he as younger, but left the digimon scene because it became too much for him to handle. he just wanted to focus on schooling, but he made the mistake of attending tsuki's school and being recognized by tsuki himself. tsuki annoys the hell out of him, but he honestly can't find himself to tell tsuki to stop fanboying over him.  - fc. kuroh yatogami (k project)

personality — renamon is like a mother to tsuki. she is mature and patient, pretty much the opposite of her tamer. she treats tsuki as if he were her child, making sure to keep him safe and to not get into trouble (which just seems to follow him anyways). she is very quiet and stealth-like, but it doesn't mean she is unapproachable. she just enjoys to listen to her surroundings and blend in rather than make it. she tends to mother tsuki and any of his friends, as its always been in her nature to do so. she is just as strong mentally as she is physically. she seems stoic, like nothing can get to her. its true though tsuki is the only one to pull real emotion out of her. she not talk about her emotions and feelings, but she has an unbreakable bond with tsuki and will do anything to keep him safe.
trivia —

→ definitely the mother hen, always hovering tsuki (your hair is sticking up, you forgot to eat breakfast again, don't forget your homework, what did i tell you about leaving your shoes in the middle of the hallway?).
→ they may bicker sometimes, but its mostly harmless.
→ renamon is overly protective of tsuki and pretty much will hurt anybody that makes him cry.
→ renamon calls tsuki child most of the time, only calling him tsuki when things are serious.
→ usually ends up helping tsuki remember to do his homework, chores, etc.
→ she is a bit confused about tsuki and hareta's relationship, but she sees how happy hareta makes him so she doesn't care.
→ treats hareta like an equal, they are both guardians of tsuki.
→ renamon has a interest in that anime tsuki likes called sailor moon. she denies it, but tsuki sometimes will catch her watching episodes on his laptop when she thinks nobody is looking.
→ renamon absolutely enjoys traditional japanese culture especially the tea festivals.
→ when tsuki is being a stubborn child, renamon will flick his forehead. well, she flicks his forehead whenever he is being ridiculous or too much. she is not afraid to flick others' foreheads if they are being difficult too.
