Craft #18: The Celtic Knot bracelet for Erelinde; other craft WIPs

I mentioned last Tuesday or in the last post that I bought this mix pack of two-toned rubber bands. I was set on making another Elenlote bracelet using the red-and-gold and white-and-gold bands, that no headache could stop me.

Here they are:

Well... I did stop after two blooms and two broken bands that night. And I continued the rest in the morning. However, I didn't have enough gold metallic bands to complete the bracelet >_<

I would have been frustrated if I didn't have another idea for a second bracelets. See, the blue-and-silver bands which I neglected made sure I noticed that combined with the white-and-gold and silver metallic bands, I could make a pretty bracelet for Erelinde.

Erelinde is kaotic312's original character in the Kiliel fanfic, Stolen Heir. The same fanfic Elenlote originated. She has pale blue eyes and white blond hair. AND a certain blue-eyed and golden-haired prince was determined to court her. So the colors were perfect.

Erelinde's craft work involves knotting and Dwarven patterns are usually geometric, so I thought YarnJourney's celtic knot bracelet would be nice for Erelinde. I wore it and looks dainty in a wrist. I had a hard time capturing it  though but here's one of the better captures:

I would have to go back to the department store on Saturday not only to complete the Elenlote bracelet, but for the blue-and-silver ones as well and try different designs :3 Might as well make bracelets for Brunere (i have violet bands; lots) and Sealyn.

Aside from the Elenlote bracelet, another work in progress is my gift for my sister. It's her birthday tomorrow and I'm making earrings from polymer clay. HA! I know. The only other polymer clay creation I made is Kili's runestone.

So what was I thinking trying to attempt this:

I don't have time for a bracelet. I am aware of my limitations. So I made the earring version of this which I dub: Roses in a Mentos

I just finished baking (toasting) them in my oven toaster. I'll just take another picture tomorrow. My camera is not good when shooting at night.

I spent the ENTIRE afternoon conditioning my clay. The tutorial video looked easy to follow. I guess it is. But it was so hard to make the roses. I gave up on the white flowers. And the base... I couldn't make it thin because of the eyepin.

And here you could have an idea how messy I am as I work. LOL. I start every crafting session by organizing my tools and putting them in order.

Then towards the middle, I would clean up because I can't stand the clutter around me.

But see how I didn't mind the mess after that:

Ahaha, yes, that's a finger loom. It's my substitute for a rolling pin! xDDD

I'll post decent photos tomorrow, and tell you my sister's reaction. I hope she likes it.

I just have one tiny problem.

I don't have the earring... the part which gets inserted into the hole.

I only have the charm WAHAHA.

Maybe I'll make something out of polymer clay for the anniversary. Two days left... HAHA.

(Did you know that you could also change the skin of AO3? I am using Snow Blue right now.)
