APPEARANCE + STYLE: matt stands average at 179 cm. he has the muscle tone of pre-serum steve rogers and is proud of it - he's ridiculously scrawny and it suits him perfectly. when he's not wearing marvel t-shirts (he's always wearing marvel t-shirts) and skinny chinos that are still baggy on him, he's probably in his pajamas. his shoes of choice are vans because they're comfortable and easy to doodle on. in the winter, or whenever the weather just decides to dump snow on the ground, he wears really thin hoodies that don't protect him whatsoever from the weather. from his work he gets snarky buttons that he pins on to his backpack. of course during comicon he cosplays, and when he does, it's always as either spiderman (and he takes pictures with all of the deadpools) or nightwing or scott pilgrim.
PERSONALITY:
the most important thing about matt's personality is that he never shuts up. seriously, if he's around you he's going to start a conversation and he'll go on for hours and then maybe he'll pause for breath and then you can talk if you're quick enough. it isn't even usually that he has a lot today but he doesn't like silent moments, and who better to fill up that silence than him? that, and he's super distractible and excitable. he's always happy about just about a million things at once and he needs to tell these things to somebody! he'll talk about the weather and then about how storm belongs with black panther and WOW we're getting a black panther movie that was impossible ten years ago and it's chadwick boseman and that's perfect casting if only idris elba wasn't heimdall because he'd be even perfecter! and so on, and so forth. he's an extrovert and really loves being around people, too, though honestly matt is kind of a handful to be around. in recent years he's learned to keep a grip on his boundless energy in most situations but really, the more he keeps it in, the more he's likely to explode.
when matt's not being hyperactive, he's being creative. his side of the dorm is littered with art supplies and he works at an art store mostly so he can get a discount on everything he needs. he doodles everywhere (if you find the spiderman logo on your desk it's him for sure) and is never without his sketchbook. matt is always moving and can't actually stay still for very long unless he's drawing, so really it works out for everyone. he eats up compliments about his art like a little kid eats up candy on halloween and gets pouty when nobody notices what he's doing. honestly while he's not the best at listening and though he talks a lot, honestly matt just craves attention. he wants love and he wants your love! of course, most people think matt's annoying and aren't too fast to give him love, but hey - maybe with this new nerd crew he'll meet somebody who really likes him.

— certain comic book based movies - the ones that are most accurate to the comics are the best! his favorites are the first two x-men movies plus first class and days of future past, the avengers, both captain america movies, the first two spider-man movies, kingsman: the secret service christopher nolan's batman trilogy and scott pilgrim vs the world
— ryan reynolds & danielle panabaker - his biggest celebrity crushes, thanks to one of them being deadpool and the other being killer frost
— spideypool - honestly if you don't ship spideypool you're doing something wrong. about half of the fan comics he draws are spideypool
— ramen, but only authentic ramen - you can get your instant ramen with no add-ins very far away from him thank you very much. at least put in an egg
— french vanilla iced coffee - he has this stupidly fancy coffee maker at home that he uses to make this stuff and he always has it on him
