She was born in Imjado to be the youngest child of a fisherman. They are a family of five with her parents and elder siter and brother. The family lived an average live dependingon her father's income. her elder sister had a job at a restaurant with sufficient income and her brother helped out their father. Her mother stayed at home and took care of the little garden near their house in whih they grew small amount of vegetables. They lived a rather pleasant live until Jihyun's father was cheated by one ofhis close friends. that friend had cleverly covered his tracks that they had no clue on how to investigate on him and he had made plans in such a way that his debts were directed to Jihyun's father.. He had run away with the whole famil'y's savings. The family was left with a huge burden on their daily lives. They had to leave their house as collateral and are working their asses off to repay the debts that her father's friends burdened them with.
Jihyun was only eight at that time and she lived a hard childhood. She had wanted to become a musician and alomost gave up the age of thirteen if not for her family's support in telling her that she should do what she wishes to achieve. She wnet to Seoul with her elder sister to to try out for a few companies.
The family supported her dream with much enthusiasm which is one of the resons why she was able to go to Seoul. They took out their last few savings which were actually kept in the house for emergency issues and were able to pay the trip to Seoul for Jihyun and her big sister. This is also a reason why Jihyun feels indebted to the family and wants to do everything necessary. When she went to Seoul with her big sister, they found a very small place to live near TSEnt in Hannam-Dong, Yongsan-gu, barely the size of a living room, they had a tiny toilet where on can barely fit two buckets. Jihyun's siter worked as a full-time chef in a restaurant nearby which was able to sustain their daily lives. After Jihyun moved out, her sister was able to sustain herself a little more. Jihyun visited her sister often because it was rather close from the company.

▪ TsEnt. is the best. I love the company. but sometimes I just want to rip it apart because of all my schedules. I am tired most of the time but my family is what keeps me going. I love my seniors very much. If not for the company, I wouldn't have met such great people who have are now embedded in my heart. But I want the studios to be more queit if I am inside. Another thing about the company is that it allows me to go visit my family.
Would she ever leave ruby red?
▪ I have thought of it once.. Leaving Ruby Red due to financial issues in the family. I wanted to get a proper job with good earning so I can lessen the burden on my parents. I got rid of tthat idea because of a very special friend. He told me that if I had quitted, my family would be in a much more financial crisis. Another reason being that I wouldn't be able to live without my sisters especially after the many years of staying together.

The two met on one occasion where Jihyunwent to visit Jinwoo at his dorm because he had gotten sick. They were still all trainees at that time. Probably 2011 November. Jihyun almost made her debut then. Bobby was also visiting Jinwoo being the buddies they were. Jihyun is always unsociable and when Bobby tried to initiate conversations, Jihyun would give short answers. They idn't really have very good first impressions on either. Jihyun saw Bobby as that annoying friend and Bobby saw her as the unsociable girl that she is. The two met on a few other occasions after that. Another occasion was when Jihyun made her debut and they were holding a congratulatory party. Jihyun invited Jinwoo with his friends and Bobby came a long there as well. Jihyun decided why not talk to him a little. When they got to know each other, they found that they had quite a few things in common and actually hung out after that.
The two's friendship grew and there were even rumours about them being a couple. Jihyun atold him all her struggles and problems and Bobby did the same. They didn' even realise that they had feelings for each other until their friends pointed them out. Their relationship isn'ty perfect but they are quite happy. They haven't been official(You can work your writing magic on the official relationship). It's like they are each other's escape to each other from the harsh entertainment buiness. Jihyun is able to be herself around him, the same for Bobby. You can picture their relationship as cute and bubbly.
Bobby was the first person she talked to when she thought of leaving the group. He was the one who made her realise just how much Ruby Red was to her. He told her the negative sides of her absence in the group first. He told her that it would affect both sides. He knew that she could not live without her members. He convincced her that it was not an easy task to get a job which paid good amount of money. He reminded her that what she was doing right now was what she loved and what she wanted to do.
