Behind the name Kerriepops

What does Kerriepops mean? Actually, this name has no meaning at all. It was just a randomly selected user name which I decided to use. The reason why I wanted to use another name that is very far from my real name is because I wanted to become an anonymous writer, and at the same time, create another ‘me’.

The beginning of Kerriepops as a Fan Fiction Writer

It was year 2010 when I started writing fan fictions. The very first fan fiction I have written is entitled “Bad Girl” (which is now revised to another fan fiction called Shadows) During that time, I uploaded this story on Winglin.net since I haven’t really discovered Asianfanfics yet during that time.

Following Bad Girl, I then uploaded “Roses for Her”. I also uploaded this story on Winglin.net and garnered a good number of readers and comments.

Kerriepops on Asianfanfics

After being inactive from writing fan fictions for about a year or two, eventually, I found out about Asianfanfics. I didn’t create an account immediately and randomly read stories on the site.

While enjoying the experience as a silent reader for a few months, I then found out an account with the username kerriepops. I was already planning to create an account on Asianfanfics but then I was really shocked to find out that someone else already used my user name and have uploaded a couple of chapters from “Bad Girl” and “Roses for Her”.

Upon knowing that there’s another kerriepops on Asianfanfics, I immediately deleted my stories on Winglin.net. Sadly, Winglin has no option to protect the text of any story from being copied.  

I finally decided to create an account with the user name officialkerriepops on April 23, 2012.

From ‘officialkerriepops’ to ‘renripani’

As years passed by, my journey as a fan fiction writer made me realize a lot of things. I realized that I still have a lot of things to improve and develop. Although writing is a form of hobby for me, I want to use this talent not just for fun but also for getting into other people’s hearts.

Since I wanted to make some transformations on the way I write fan fictions, I then decided to change my user name to renripani, which is actually the ‘screen name’ I have given to myself. I also deleted some of the stories I have uploaded before due to personal reasons. I finally decided that I no longer need ‘another me’ and I’ll freely express myself as an aspiring writer.

To my dear subscribers, friends and silent readers, thank you for reading my stories and enjoying the time you shared with me as officialkerriepops. I hope that you continue the journey with me as I start writing as renripani.
