HAPPY 4 YEARS FISHYME! *confettis

In actuality, I've been around here much longer than it claims to be. I started on AFF around September 2010 (I remember because my friend's birthday was around the corner back then). The first story I read was a (it was a Shinee fic), and yes, that was the day my innocence was stripped off from me by Lee Taemin (HAHAHA). I didn't have an account back then because stories can still be viewed even if you're not a member or a subscriber. And you could copy the fics and save it to  your phone or print it out (plagirism wasn't much of an issue before). Imagine the shock of my classsmates seeing pages of back-to-back legal size paper printed with font size 5, 4 colunms, narrow margin, then reading rated scenes. I remember we had to hide those on our file cases and read it privately.

I've always been quietly reading and waiting for updates, even before. The first serious fic I've read was dbskgirl4ever's Snow Flower. I remember bookmarking her story on my browser so that I could check every now and then for updates. Too bad she still hasn't accepted my friend request :( Then my friend recommended Rich Boys and Girls by neenakkong, the fic I clearly remember that made me cry buckets of tears. The original plot was good and a total-tearjerker and I love  it so much that I can't help myself  from commenting so I finally made my account. Shin Sanghee was a part why fishyme was born. (neenakkong went hiatus with her story, then came back revising the plot.)

I stayed being a reader for two years, indulging myself mostly with Shinee, Beast and Super Junior fanfics. Then finally one fine day in march, I was so inlike with someone that I wrote him a story and posted it here.  My very first fanfiction.  It was just a one-shot drabble, nothing special, but I really liked how it turned out.

In four years, so many fanfiction had come and go. I used to read . I used to read . I've read fics with a scary amount of grammar sins and fics perfectly written to be published. I've cried, laughed, angered and fallen in love so many times with so many different characters. I have made friends, in which some of them are very dear to me despite the fact that we haven'tmet personally. I've encountered many brilliant people and aspiring writers. AFF have been my haven, a place where I can be who I am without anyone judging me. The fiction I read gives me an emotional roller coaster ride. I wouldn't reade those feelings in anything in this world. The satisfaction of finishing a story is just too priceless to give up.

Four years have passed and I'm still here. I'm looking forward in staying here for more years, hoping to come across more beautiful pieces of literature written by beautiful people silently admiring and loving their beautiful idols.

AFF fighting! fishyme fighting!

(sorry. i know this is pure ramblings because my thoughts aren't that organized at this rate of hour. it's 1:33 am and i need to sleep right now. i'll tkae my leave. *flies  to neverland)
