APPEARANCE

Mari has dark brown hair that matches well with her pale-pink complexion which falls to her mid-back, and prefer to let her hair down in wavy and bangs to frame her round face. Her hair is thick that your hand will go deep if you run your fingers to her hair. She easily gains weight, hence her weight is always changing but still at the range between 54 to 58 kg (well she still needs to keep her body in check since she's a model). Fortunately she stands tall at 171 cm hence her weight change isn't really noticeable. Other things that isn't noticeable are she has a mole on her jawline right below her right ear and another mole on her left-side collarbone.

Although she grew up with a fashion background, Mari is rather simple with what she wears but still keep things fashionable by wearing branded clothes with nice and cute designs such as from Chanel®, Mango®, The studio K®, Steve J. & Yoni P.® (both are Korea brand) and her own brand, Morell. One thing that needs to be pointed out though is she likes to show her legs since she's quite tall (and she's proud of it). She's rather feminine so she prefers to wear skirts with simple tees, button up shirts or blouses or wear mini dresses. Lately she prefers to wear flats or 1-inch heels to college since it's more comfortable (psst.. and because her crush isn't that tall /lol/), and wears taller heels to formal ocassions or work-related only. She doesn't like to wear jewelries since she always forget where she put it back later, except her watch that was a present from her mother when she first became a model, or wearing hair accessories when she's in a good mood.

When it's formal occassions, that's her time to shine. She loves to wear cute dresses specially designed by her father and that's when she can wear what people called as killer heels.

Although she looks all fabulous outside, she loves to wear onesies at dorm. Not everyday though, only when she has free time and no schedule ahead. She finds it cute, warm and comfortable for sleep.

To summarize it, Mari is a lively and naive girl. She is always smiling and cheerful, but so oblivious with her surrounding that it feels like she live in her own world in her mind. She's also really gullible and tend to trust people way too easily, and easily believe what they tell her. That makes her sisters in the sorority are torn between to protect her from this 'cruel' world or to strangle her until she's choked because she's so helpless.

She loves everything romantic and can be really sentimental and overly emotional when it comes to her favorite dramas. That's why she got herself "cheeseball nickname", especially when she start doing and saying corny things that can make people's fingers curl badly, like so suddenly giving backhug or holding her sisters's arm and even nuzzle her face on it and saying "I had a scary thought today: What if I had never met you?" with cute nasally sound that made them groan and push her face away "eww, you give me goosebumps!". /lol/

Well, inside someone who is too innocent for her own good, she can passed as the true definition of "child at heart". When people expect her to be sweet, she will playfully throwing her antics side like taping people's shoulder to make them turn their heads and then poke their cheeks, screeching beside people's ear, or suddenly singing her favorite ballad song with her high-pitched voice and make people laugh their asses off because she's tone-deaf. She found it's fun to see their reactions of her antics.

You can tell immediately that she is easygoing, she loves to socialize and make friends as many as she can. But then people often get annoyed by her since she always ask a dumb question (eg. "If an ambulance is on its way to save someone, and it runs someone over, does it stop to help them?"), make a dumb comment (eg. "If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you'll have trouble putting on your pants."), even often saying things that don't make sense (eg. "I tried to put my head together but now my body is falling apart!"), and sometimes just genuinely confused about things that other people aren't. It seems like she has different way of thinking unlike regular people. She can be slow when it comes to understanding things or jokes and really bad at responding in conversations. You can say she's lack of common sense, and tend to forget key details of simple things easily (eg. She often cut potatoes without peeling them when trying to cook), constantly make careless mistakes, and constantly daydreaming and zoning out. For her misery, people started to label her as 'ditsy' and she can't do anything to change people's opinion of her, since that just how she appears to everyone.

She's so confident about herself; her background, her parents and her occupation as model has made her vain and become one stubborn woman who doesn't like being criticized and won't let anything bring her down. If someone said "God, you're so dumb," she will retort back by pointing out her achievements (she's not that dumb actually, she's a good student), or just retort with "Well at least I'm prettier than you." which can lead to hurting other's feeling which she never aware of. She can be really blunt and speak what's exactly on her mind ( eg. "you need to lose weight" or "your nose looks funny") that come off as insensitive to other people.

Mari and her roommate have totally different personalities like water and fire. At first, they are always arguing with little things like how Mari is really messy and always trashing their dorm with clothes and snacks hence her roommate goes all yelling to make her clean her side of the room because she is a neat person and can't stand a messy room, how Mari is being slow in understanding things and showering her with questions hence her roommate goes all sighing "you're so dumb", and the last how Mari is being all sentimental while watching her favorite dramas and keep talking about it hence her roommate goes all yelling again "shut up you're so noisy". But then, somehow along the way they get along, because both girls are blunt and don't hold back in expressing their mind to each other, which mean they aren't being fake. And also because Mari is really persistent to be close friends with her roommate and gradually it soften her roommate's heart and she get used to Mari's antics and Mari too slowly get used with her constant nagging and harsh words because she knows that her roommate doesn't mean it. Nevertheless, they start to bond, even sharing secrets and become best friends who trust each other. Mari even often lend her roommate her clothes because she deemed her roommate's clothes are boring ("what do you say?! come here!" then she chased Mari around for hour).

PERSONALITY 

Sunggyu is perfectionist, passionate and rather self-centered. He takes notice to every detail and always wants everything going smoothly like he wants. If not, people got to be ready for his nagging. If he says something, he will make people agree to him, whatever it takes. He is one stubborn man who doesn't like to be criticized, and will send his cold glare to everyone who stands in his way. When he wants something he will give his all to get it, to accomplish it. He needs to always be in control and telling people what to do. Most of the times people that don't really know him called him arrogant and dictator because of this, but these people are too intimidated by his presence too call him that directly in front of his face. People can see that he knows what he's doing and he can easily left people speechless. 

The second thing people will notice about him is that he's the king of sarcasm. He has tons of it and as if the on-off switch has been destroyed, he will always said all those sarcastic remarks wherever he is and whatever situation he's in. He loves throwing remarks like "is it time for your medication?" or "earth is full, go home right now." or "with your IQ, I don't think you can understand". Well okay, the last one is rude so it makes him less-likely to be a friend. Although.to people who close to him it's only him being himself, sometimes he use his remarks as his way to intentionally hurt people he dislikes and make them stay away.

Although he's someone who freely speaks his mind without so much thinking about what people thinks, he's someone whom you can rely on. He doesn't think twice in helping others genuinely when they really need it. He's trustworthy and always know what to do to make things better. He takes a great care of people he holds dear in his life and very much always looking after them. Yes, he is very deep and complicated; there are so much more behind his penetrating eyes but he won't let people see through him. His self-control made him as the best in putting up the front mask when inside his mind is full of thoughts or his heart is feeling so much emotions, which made him appears as someone who has this permanent scowl in his face.

The first time they met was rather memorable for Mari. Although she already knew Sunggyu's mother and a lil bit close with her who is the senior editor of magazine who she frequently got photoshoot taken, the first time Mari and Sunggyu met was when she was still a freshman (she hadn't join Theta Eta Beta yet). She was wandering around the campus to memorized the route and later ended up in EMU amphitheatre, when she came accross a lump in the middle of the stairs seats. Feeling curious, she came closer and realize that it was a man, who apparently sleeping under the scorching sun. She shook her head and decided to left him there, but unfortunately she was tripping on his bag on the ground and fell directly to his body.

He woke up startled by the sudden heavy weight and his arms unconsciously wrapped around the body above him. She raised her head that was on his chest and immediately blushing to the core when she realized she was being squeezed in his arms. Suddenly aware of the situation, he pushed her until she fell on her back. "Yah, what the hell?!", he hissed. Mari was kinda in trance, just laying there frozen because of the sudden fall (and kinda attracted by his tiny eyes which shooting glare at her from above). After she got her sane back, she pleaded "Sunbae, a little help here please?" while held out her hand. Still annoyed by his abrupt wake up, he chose to ignore her and walked off. Feeling nothing pulled on her hand, she raised her body a little and leaned on her elbow, immediately went jaw-dropped seeing how he decided to leave. "How could you leave just like that? don't you know who am I?!", she screamed. She couldn't help but whimpered loudly feeling pain all over her back and , and slightly cursing the attractive-but-total jerk-man.

Heard her whimper, he felt guilt struck his consciousness hence he turned his body back to approach her. He saw how she struggled to get up and sighed. He crouched down on the stairs' step below her, pulled her arms slowly. ignoring her widened eyes, and circled them on his neck while turned his back to her. "Get on. I'll take you to the clinic." he said. She smiled widely, and without hesitation got on his back and tightened her arms around his neck.

Along the way to clinic, it was so quiet so she decided to make conversation, although it came off as lot of bombarding questions. "Can I know your name, sunbae?", and, "How can you just pushed someone down like that? What if I fall down the stairs?", then, "What are you thinking, sleeping under the sun? It's really hot today! You may get burn. Aren't you afraid of skin cancer?", and the last, "Why aren't you saying anything? Are you dazzled by my beauty?" He snorted hearing her last statement. "You hit your head pretty hard, didn't you?" But then as expected from Mari, she didn't get the sarcasm and just answer innocently. "No, I don't think I hit my head. But my back is really painful. What if I break some bones? Will you take responsibility?" "Aish, shut up! You're so noisy." She let out a loud "huffh" and giggled lightly on his back, couldn't help but amused to heard him agitated. She found him as the type who is harsh outside but a marshmallow inside (side effect of too much watching drama /lol/), hence she decided to get to know him more.

Since then, Mari always looked for him at the same place, and always found a way to annoy him. She always pestered him and no matter how rude and sarcastic he was being so she would leave him alone, -- because, why should he be the one who leave the place when she's the intruder? He didn't want to give up his favorite napping place -- she didn't budge. So their relationship filled with Mari's chatters and giggles and Sunggyu's sarcasm remarks and angry yells.

Until later when she joined Theta Eta Beta, she found out how Sunggyu is the member of Sigma Xi Alpha, her sorority's supposed enemy. She told him about it, and Sunggyu responsed it with "Then why are you still here? keep your ugly face away from me." She ignored his comment and just keep mumbling, "I just need to not befriend you right? I'll just keep pestering you and make you annoyed like hell just like your enemy." and burst into evil laugh. Sunggyu just shook his head. "You're so dumb." he said while kicking her leg. "You're always mean!"

So in front of everyone she obeys the rules, and always joins the cold competition between the groups and make it her goal to have a quarrel with Sunggyu everyday and make him annoyed by her presence. But then when they are just alone at the amphitheatre, she turns into this sillyaffectionate-still annoying and dumbnoisy being whom somehow he long to see and always look forward to everyday. They grow really close and couldn't help but attracted to each other and their feelings will grow into love in no time soon.

 

FUNFACTS ABOUT THE COUPLE?
• At first she called him "Snuggles" because of the piggy-back thing but then Sunggyu snapped, "Can you stop calling me that?" 'Then what should I call you? I don't know your name." "Just Sunggyu, please." Then she started another annoying attempt by calling him "Just Sunggyu"

• Other than "Snuggles" and "Just Sunggyu", Mari often calls Sunggyu by "hamstergyu" because she thinks he looks exactly like a hamster

• Sunggyu often ruffles her bangs and pat her head when she's being cute (and then froze and 'wtf am I doing?!')

• She gives him pooh onesie that she deemed him to wear at his dorm (Sunggyu swears he will never wear it)

• As stated before, she already knows Sunggyu's mother and a lil bit close with her. His mother is the typical 'always try to match Sunggyu with women' since she freaks out over the fact that he's single all his life because of his harshness. When she knows that Mari and Sunggyu knows each other, she always tries to match them together by asking Sunggyu to come to her workplace when Mari's there and always forced him to drives her home

Hi! Sorry if I make this rather dramatic and fluffy ;_; I can't help it ^^ and I'm so excited to see how you bring Mari and Sunggyu's characters and their relationship later in the story, if she's chosen xD Do tell me if I make mistakes and missed important things...

And I kinda in dilemma between the amphitheatre or the green house as their secret place. So you choose ^^

▪ Well, I'd like to request all the scenes I mentioned in her personality section, and in interaction between Mari and Do Manager, Mari and her roommate, and of course Mari and Sunggyu kekeke

▪Mari and Sunggyu watch horror movies together, Sunggyu freaks out and Mari laughs feeling satisfied to see him scared /evil laugh/

▪ She cries when Sunggyu being harsh again to her (he secretly gotten jealous of Do manager) and she misunderstands the harshness by thinking that he really hates her (drama oh drama)

▪ One day when Sunggyu being all yells he was caught by Mari's father and get yelled back by him /lol/ "How dare you yelling to my lovely daughter!"

▪ Later when their relationship has grow stronger and the hostility between their groups has somehow resolved, Sunggyu comes to her sorority house secretly to meet her while wearing onesie she gave him and although slightly grumpy ("Things that you make me do.."), he sings one of her favorite song. Before he says anything afterhand, she burst into tears and asks him to be her boyfriend because she's so touched and definitely sure that he likes her by doing this so he has to say yes. All Sunggyu does are saying "you're so dumb!" and ask her back to be his girlfriend which she excitedly answer "yesss!"
