Kung Hei Fat Choi! How is everyone?

I know, I am missing in action for a long time… but I am getting myself together (at least my room is 50% cleared up of clutter and so is my health, getting better and better everyday.)

I have had a very busy Lunar New Year, followed by a to-be busy Korea trip in March. But I am aiming to get at least one chapter out by then, as well as sending the giveaway gifts I promised everyone.

In the meantime, here is a short I put together with the help of my lovely friend Wuzzup.

Again, this is a short for Cat and the Underdog, which I adore nowadays. Hope you like it.

Sekitty: Unless otherwise specified, Sehun is in his kitty form

Kai: self-explanatory

Sekid: GUESS

Jjanggu/ Monggu/ Jjang-ah: Kai’s dogs at his family home

Kai’s mom: self-explanatory

It was the sunny first day of Lunar New Year. The master bedroom door creaked as a white paw wiggled open the heavy wooden surface.

First was the paws, then its nose, followed by the front part of the small furball. He shook his body a bit more and out came a white kitty into the living room.

The fluffy animal sat down in the middle of room, tail wagging back and forth. His forepaws adjusted the red ornament around his neck, before going to his head, grooming himself to ensure the wiggling earlier didn’t mess up his beautifully groomed appearance.

A few soft from his paws and he was done. He strutted towards the large mirror in the living room and smiled at his reflection. The gracefully tied ribbon around his neck (which he took forever to do) matched perfectly with the red satin paw gloves he was wearing that day. Of course, the accessories were nothing compared to shiny white coat he groomed carefully this morning.

Sekitty was ready to visit Kai’s parents.

The door of the master bedroom swung open soon after, and the kitty spun his head around.

Kai: *stretches*

Kai: What a good morning.

Sekid: *walks out from his room as well*

Sekid: Pa, good morning

Sekid: *hands opened facing Kai*

Kai: What?

Sekid: Red packet.

Kai: Huh? I am not married.

Sekid: But you and ma have every night!

Sekid: And you have me!

Kai: *whistles, pretending he couldn't hear anything*

Sekitty: *frowns*

Sekitty: Meow meow meow? (Aren’t we married?)

Sekitty: *folds his ears against his scalps and lower his head*

Sekid: Pa, stop playing. Look at ma.

Kai: *smirks*

Kai OS: Revenge for disturbing me sleep yesterday with your stupid annoying tail wags.

Sekitty: *glares*

Sekitty: *pouts again*

Kai: What?

Sekitty: *mumbles* meow meow... (Nothing…)

Kai: What?

Sekitty: *mumbles* meow meow meow meow meowwww (Kai doesn’t love me anymore.)

Kai: Huh?

Sekid: Pa, my red packet.

After breakfast,

Kai: *hands over red packet to Sekid*

Kai: Be a good boy kid.

Sekid: Thanks pa!

Sekitty: Meow meow meow!? (Where is mine!?)

Kai: You don’t get any.

Sekitty: Meowww?? (Why??)

Kai: You had sashimi this morning!

Sekitty: *raise his cat paws in disagreement*

Sekitty: Meow meow meow meow meow meow (Sashimi and money are different things!)

Kai: *squint his eyes*

Kai: Why do you need the money then?

Kai: You use my money all the time.

Sekitty: Meow meow meow (No, I don’t.)

Sekitty: Meow meow moew mew meow meow (You don’t love me anymore.)

Kai: *sighs*

Kai: Fine.

Kai: *pulls out a red packet*

Sekitty: Meow~ (Kai~ <3)

Sekitty: *rips open the packet*

Sekitty: *watches as a fall out*

Kai: *smirks*

Sekitty: Meow!!! (Kai!!)

Sekitty: *lies on his back and kicks his paws around in mid air, like a kid*

Sekid OS: *side glances at Sekitty*

Sekid OS: I want a new ma.

The whining continues for a short while as Kai complains Sekitty for being too childish and Sekitty defending himself as being too cattish. In the end, Kai lost as Sekitty snatched the wallet from his hand and pulled out a couple of bank notes to stuff under his cat basket. (a/n: very smart place to hide stuff Sekitty)

Kai took a glance at the clock and he called to Sekid.

Kai: You ready?

Sekid: Yeah.

Sekitty: *walks in front of the mirror and adjusts his ribbons again*

Kai: *frowns at Sekitty*

Kai: Urgh, no.

Sekitty: Meow? (What?)

Kai: You are going as a human, without the tail and the cat ears.

Sekitty: Meow… meow... Meow meow meow meow meow (But… but… I prepared a long time.)

Kai: You put on that ONE ribbon. How long will that take?

Sekitty: Meow… meow meow meow meow (I… also combed my hair)

Sekitty: Meow meow meow meow meow! (You don’t know how hard it is for a cat to wear a ribbon by itself.)

Kai: But I told you last night to go in your human form -__-

Kai: And why do you attempt to go as a cat every year?

Sekitty: *pouts*

Sekitty: Meow meow meow meow meow?? (Why can’t I show myself as a kitty form?)

Sekitty: Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow (Your parents know I am a cat anyway.)

Kai: Yeah, they know you are a cat now. And they also know Sehun as a human. But they don’t know that the human Sehun is the very cat standing in front of me.

Kai: Besides… there are Jjanggu, Jjang-ah and Monggu.

Sekitty: *flinches at the names*

Sekid: I remember how they almost ripped ma apart, last time he went as a cat.

Kai: You don’t want them humping you by accident again?

Sekitty: *frowns*

Sekitty: Meow meow meow!!! (But I prepared so much for your family!!!)

Sekitty: Meow meow meow meow (I promise I won’t cry for help this time!)

Sekitty: Meow~ (Please~)

Sekitty: *kitty wails*

Kai: *sighs*

Kai: Fine.

Kai: Just don’t come running for help.

Kai: Sekid, carry your *whispers* “lazy” ma to the car.

Sekid: Why me?!

Sekitty: *purrs in delight*

At Kai’s house,

Sekitty: *runs from corner to corner*

Sekitty: Meow~~ (Help~~)

Monggu: *runs after Sekitty*

Kai’s mum: Oh, Kai! You brought your kitty again?

Kai: *side glances at the cat and dog fight*

Kai: Yes, he insist coming.

Kai's mum: *looks around*

Kai's mum: Where is Sehunnie?

Kai: He will come soon.

Sekitty: Meow~ Meow meow meow!! (Kai~ Help me!!)

Monggu: Woof woof wooof woooooof

Monggu: *attempts to move closer to him*

Sekitty: *runs up to Kai and paws his legs for help*

Sekitty: Meooooow! (Help!!!!!)

Monggu: *tackles*

Kai: I am going to the bathroom

Sekitty: *claws Kai’s pants*

Kai: *sighs*

Kai: Sekid!

Sekid: ?!

Kai: Get the cat to the car

Sekid: *ducks down to pick up his ma*

Sekitty: *extends his cat paws for a hug*

Sekitty: *grabs onto Sekid for life*

Sekid: *sigh*

Sekid OS: Stupid ma.

Sekid: Pa, give me the car keys.

Ten minutes later,

Sekid returned with a pouting Sehun behind him, eyes a little red and cheeks a little swollen. He secretly gave Monggu a big kick when he walked next to the dog - a revenge for the attempt assault Sehun suffered as a kitty just now.

When the milky boy sat down next to Kai, the latter chuckled.

Kai: I told you.

Sehun: Shut up.

Sehun: I hate Monggu.

Monggu: *runs up to Sehun*

Sehun: Ah!

Sehun: *hugs Kai*

Sehun: Get him away from me!

Kai’s mum: Awww poor Sehunnie. Monggu just wants to be friends with you.

Kai's mumi: Haha, Sehunnie is such a cat person.

Monggu: *moves away from Sehun’s legs and jumps on Kai’s laps*

Kai: Hey Monggu. How are you?

Kai: *continues to play with his dog while ignoring Sehun*

Sehun: *jealously stares at Kai*

Sehun OS: Dumb dog. Stop leaving your scent over my Kai.

Sehun: *clings on Kai and starts rubbing*

Sekid: =__=

Sekid OS: My parents…

Sekid OS: I swear I will leave this dumb home one day.

Bonus, back at home.

Kai: Ummmm...

Kai: *stares at the white kitty walking all over him as he lays on the bed*

Kai: Sehun…

Kai: *continues to watch as the kitty rubs himself on Kai’s chest inside his shirt*

Kai: Sehun… I am not your pillow.

Sekitty: *mumbles* Meow meow meow... (Must get this smell off my Kai...)

Kai: Sehun-ah…

Sekitty: *continues mumbling while rubbing* Meow meow meow meow… (That stupid dog’s smell…)

Kai: Sehun…

Kai: *tries getting up*

Sekitty: Meow! Meow meow meow meow! (Don’t move! I can’t believe you played with those dogs.)

Sekitty: Meow meow meowwwww… (They tried to kill me)

Kai: They were trying to see who you are…

Sekitty: Meow meow meowww… (They me!)

Kai: I you too.

Sekitty: *blushes*

Sekitty: Meow meow… (That’s different...)

Kai: I want to sleep…

Sekitty: Meow meow meow meow meow (Just wait until their scent is off you first.)

Sekitty: *continues rubbing*

Kai: *sighs*

Kai OS: It is going to be a long night…

a/n: What should Sekitty be? I want him to be a pretty ragdoll, since we went looking at some ragdoll kitties during the break.
