BTS: We Are Bulletproof Pt. 2

Danji felt the bus coming to a slow stop. Her eyes fluttered open. For a second, she forgot where she was. Then she remembered the Seoul trip.

Danji lifted her cheek from the glass and rubbed her cold cheek. She felt a weight on her shoulder and turned her head to see Minyoung fast asleep against her. Danji chuckled and tapped her. “Minyoung, we’re here.”

She jolted awake, “Huh?!”

“We arrived at Seoul.” Danji announced.

“Oh!” Minyoung was wide awake now.

The students piled off the bus. Excited chatter filled the air as the stunned students looked around the vast city in awe. It was so different from the dull town they resided in.

“Okay, listen up!” The teachers clapped their hands.

Teacher Han stood on top of a pillar to get everyone’s attention. “You should all know the rules by now! You must come to this bus by 8 p.m.! Later than that, and you’ll have to find your own ride back and endure three hours of painful detention! Don’t talk to strangers, girls, and boys, please don’t get into any trouble. Have fun, and see you all back later. You have our numbers, so call us if you run into any trouble.”

The students were free to wander about. They didn’t hesitate to separate ways. Minyoung, Danji, Uishik, and the six wolves gathered in a circle.

Lay asked, “Where should we go?”

Tao raised his arm, “I vote for Myungdong!”

“Oooh! Me, too!” Minyoung shot her arm out. They hi-fived and exchanged grins. Uishik nervously tugged on his collar. It made him uncomfortable whenever Tao and Minyoung got close to each other.

“Let’s go then!” Lay pointed in the direction of the subway. Everyone shuffled along.

“Do you want to go to Myungdong? We can go somewhere else if you want.” Luhan offered. “Myungdong is too crowded for my taste, but I don’t mind going there. Besides, Minyoung would want me there.” Danji said.

“DANJI!” Minyoung hollered. She shrugged, “See?”

Luhan gave her an amused look. “Are you so willing to go through torture for others?”

“If it’s someone I love, why not?” Danji went to find Minyoung.

*Loyal girl. She is definitely the one for me.* Luhan smirked.

The crowd piled into Face Shop.

“Girls, buy whatever you want! Kris hyung said he wants to buy both of you presents for being such amazing beauties!” Tao grinned.

Minyoung blushed and touched her cheek, “R-really?”

Danji raised an eyebrow quizzically. She was not gullible enough to believe that.

“TAO-“ Kris lunged for him, but Lay held him back.

“Chill, duizhang.” He chuckled, “I’ll pay. It would be my pleasure to spoil the ladies.”

Minyoung picked face masks, facial creams, and an entire set of nail polish. Danji merely picked a cherry lip gloss. She had run out of the one she had used previously.

“Are you sure that’s all you want, Danji?” Lay asked as he handed the cashier the money.

“Yes.” She nodded.

Lay received his change and gave the bags of goodies to the girls. “Enjoy!”

“Thank you, Lay! You’re so kind!” Minyoung gushed.

“Yeah, thanks, Lay.” Danji appreciatively thanked.

“No problem.” Lay beamed.

“Now to see accessories!” Tao led the crowd forward.

“Here.” Luhan tapped Danji. She turned towards him to see the a heavy bag of make-up products. Her eyes widened. “W-where’d you get that?”

“I bought it, of course.” Luhan opened her purse and put the bag in there. “Next time Lay says he spoils you, just get the damn entire store.” *That will teach him to show off in front of my mate.*

Danji grew flustered. “You didn’t have to get me all of these…” Her purse felt really heavy now.

“I saw the way you eyed the mascara, face masks, cc cream, bb cream, and facial ask, and I knew I had to get them for you.” Luhan smiled lovingly.

“Thank you…” Danji smiled gratefully.

The rest of the day passed by peacefully. They had fun visiting different parts of Seoul and eating delicious foods.

After dinner, Minyoung decided she wanted some “girl time” with Danji alone. “Have fun, boys!” She rushed off with Danji.

The boys blinked at each other.

“Okay…I’m lost.” Tao’s shoulders slumped.

Xiumin chuckled, “I guess we can have some ‘guy time’ as well. Let’s head over to the nearest arcade. What do you say, Uishik?”

Uishik looked shocked that he was included in their plans. “Uh…sure…”

“Let’s go then.” Xiumin led the way. Uishik quickly followed.

Luhan stopped walking and looked back. He couldn’t help but be worried. His animal instinct told him that it was a bad idea to send her off on her own without his protection.

Lay lightly elbowed him. “Come on, Luhan. Give the girl some breathing room.” Gently, he pulled Luhan away.

*Please just let me be overly paranoid. I’ll never forgive myself if anything happened to her.*

Minyoung and Danji shopped more. They laughed as they tried on silly hats and pretty dresses. They took sticker photos and decorated them with cute hearts and declarations of “friends forever”.

Minyoung and Danji sat outside of a coffee place and shared a bowl of green tea shaved ice.

Minyoung on her pink spoon with a thoughtful expression.

“Still thinking about it?” Danji chuckled.

“Yes. I really should have bought that shirt. It was so cute, and it’s not like we come to Seoul every day,” Minyoung slammed her spoon down with a bang. “I’m going to get it! I’ll go mad if I don’t!” She grabbed her purse and ran off.

“Yah, Kim Minyoung!” Danji called, but the girl was gone. “Aigoo.” She chuckled. Danji finished the rest of the shaved ice while she waited for Minyoung to come back. She dropped the spoon in the empty bowl and sighed as she glanced at her watch. *Where is this girl? Did she get lost? This is one of those times where I wished we both had cell phones.*

Danji could not wait any longer. She swung her purse over her and went to search for Minyoung. Danji went back to the shop where they had seen the shirt. Unfortunately, Minyoung was no longer there.

*I should have stayed at the café.* Danji tried to find her way back, but now, she was the one who was lost. The more she walked, the further she seemed to stray from the main streets. Danji paused and looked to the left and right. She didn’t see any familiar streets. Danji looked at the time. *It’s almost eight. I h
