Wednesday came and we have to attend once again Gummy’s counseling. It’s already 1:45 in the afternoon and Donghae
still haven’t arrived. Why is it so hard for him to be on time? I get that he is a busy person as a doctor but he should also think
of other people who have also better things to do instead of just waiting for him. At exactly 2:00 the door opened and my
husband, whose hair is a mess, looking as if he just woke up took the seat beside mine.
“I told you the other time not to be late. And here you are being late again. Did you just woke up?” I leaned closer to him to
whisper not intending Gummy to hear our conversation.
“Late? How am I supposed to be late when I arrived at exactly two which by the way, is the time of our counseling.”
“Is there any problem Mr and Mrs Lee? Gummy inquired now seated on her pink plush chair.
I just wanna roll my eyes the moment that she mentioned Mr and Mrs Lee.
“So for our first session I would like to hear about how the two of you met and how did marriage came into plan.” Smiling
encouraging us to speak .

POV OF DARA
It was mid of August and the rain was pouring heavily. Everyone was already running with their umbrella protecting them from
the endless downpour. I stood looking at the window at the different people running away from the rain. Some with their
umbrellas, others with their jackets over their heads while others run as fast as they can in order not to get very wet. The rain
always relaxes even from before. The sound of each droplet falling and hitting the rooftop is like music to the ears, how I just
wanna catch all the raindrops in my hands and release it. Catch..release..catch..release.. Again and again. And after it rains
you would see how everything glows, as if the rain washed away everything that was miserable and sad. When the sun
shines and its brightness lights up its surroundings you would see the glow of the tress, the plants and the flowers not
because of the sun but by the raindrops that seems to reflect the light from the sun giving you the illusion that tiny crystals
hung from the leaves and the buds. The rain was the nourishment that everyone needed to feel alive and most of all to be
alive.
“Dara, you better finish cleaning and make sure to lock restaurant. Finish early okay? It’s the rain will not stop soon.”
“Nehh sajangnim.” With a wave the restaurant owner scampered and made a run towards his car.
I’m Sandara Park twenty years of age taking up political science and will be a future Attorney. But before I could do that I
should first stop day dreaming and start cleaning up.
The day went by fast and as usual it was tiresome but very fun. My friends always call me bright Dara for I always see
something good in everything. Whatever is thrown at me I would be taking it up without complaining and be doing the task
with a smile. For I believe that every challenge is an opportunity for you to become a better person and test your limits. It
should never be seen as a hindrance for o
