Final.
Time is of the EssenceIt's almost nine in the afternoon and Joonmyun's body aches, the uncomfortable position he was left in as he went to bed earlier has left his back sore, legs tangled and the blood in his arm cut off. The head resting on his arms is drooling slightly, soft snoring echoing throughout the home. The long slender legs that tangled with his are like noodles, wrapping securely around his calves and thighs. His back aches from this uncomfortable state but yet he can't find it in himself to complain for real. Because Sehun looks so damn beautiful like this despite the wet patch and small pool of drool gather on and beside Joonmyun's arm.
The soft silky brown hair tickles the older man's face, causing him to shake his head away and scrunch his nose up, the scent of vanilla and coconut fill his nostrils and Joonmyun knows Sehun has been using his shampoo and conditioner. Not that he minds. In fact he enjoys the thought, oddly enough. Joonmyun's eyes scan over the soft pale features of his younger lover with much adoration in his brown orbs. He likes how Sehun's lips are slightly thinner than his own, how he has a small scar on his lips, barely noticeable upon the soft skin. He chuckles softly because he likes to think Sehun got the scar from being reckless or getting into a fight but he knows the younger, and the definitely got the scar from his boba tea straw.
Sehun's lips twitch slightly and his breath hitches, his fingers twitch against Joonmyun's small waist. The older leans in and let's his breath fan over the younger male's face, watching as the taller slowly and gently opens his eyes, they water a bit as he yawns softly, his thin lips quirking up into a lazily smile.
“Good morning.”
The words linger in the air for a moment before the older replies, his voice is soft and slightly scratchy but Sehun chooses to ignore that and forget the teasing as he leans in, his forehead rests against the small male's and he finds himself looking into his brown eyes, getting lost in the soft milk chocolate color. “We have to get up.” It is always Joonmyun that says this, it is a small painful reminder to both that they can not lay around in bed all day. Joonmyun must work and Sehun must attend school. It is a painful reminder that life goes on no matter how hard they try to pause it, no matter how much they wish to rewind to a night of pure bliss. They can not because life does not wait for those stuck in the past or for those begging for time.
“I don't want to.” It is always Sehun that wishes to fight against time, fight against all odds. He wears a stubborn face, eyes narrowed and lips pursed into a pout. His arms are wrapped tightly around Joonmyun, and he buries his face into the nape of the older's neck. Sehun plants soft kisses on the skin, as if silent pleas for just a little more time. Joonmyun sighs. He sighs the kind of sigh that is a mix of content and debate, content because he is more than welcome to laying in bed with his lover than going to work for ten hours or more. Debate because he really doesn't want to be late.
“Sehun, you're going to be late.” He decides to say that instead of asking the younger to let him get ready, because he really can't be late again. “I don't care, I can miss school.” Joonmyun wishes to hit Sehun with a pan, a giant, heavy, iron pan, right over the damn head. So maybe he will knock out and Joonmyun can get ready.
“Joonie..” Sehun whines, he's being childish, a sign that Joonmyun will be late, and mostly miss another day.
And so Joonmyun gives into his younger lover's demands, melting back into his hold and finding himself inhaling the sweet scent, getting lost. He thinks he could get used to such days, even if he'll be scolded for missing too many days of work and Sehun will be punished and most likely be sent to detention. He feels that moments like this are far moment important than the notes Sehun takes about the economy and wars and the papers he stacks and things he signs off.
Sehun and he have a special relationship, in which many would look down upon, it is not illegal, considering Sehun is 18 now, but with Joonmyun being a fully grown man, age 29 hitting 30 soon, many would see this an unhealthy. And maybe they're right, maybe Sehun will leave him one day, he'll get tired of the gifts and money, he'll find someone else, whether a boyfriend or another lover, Joonmyun does not mind that day because things will always come to an end. Even though the younger assures he loves no one but Joonmyun, he can not help but wonder if those words are true or in the moment. Sure his heart hurts at the thought because he's grown to love Sehun. Sehun and his stupid habits and antics.
But until then, Joonmyun will bask in Sehun's presence, he'll hold onto the male until his nails break and he's bleeding. Sehun is all that Joonmyun needs.
They stay in bed for the whole day, legs tangled and arms numb, their faces buried in necks or in tangled hair. “I love you.” The words leave Sehun's lips for the first time, although he assures Joonmyun with 'I only love you' he has never quite said 'I love you'. The feeling Joonmyun has is unexplainable, it's like fireworks are exploding in his gut, he chokes, body tensing and Sehun thinks maybe it was a bad idea to say those three words, he goes to apologize but Joonmyun stops him.
“I love you too.”
So even thought their relationship may not last forever, they will bask in each other's presence because who cares about the past or future when you can enjoy your present?
