wrong identity
You're BeautifulHello, you came to me,
Giving me your shy scent.
"He's coming!"
"What is he doing?"
"I'm scared."
Everyone was staying out of the way as school bad boy, Oh Sehun, entered the school building. People whispered to one another as he walked in the hallway, with the same straight posture and glum expression.
People said he was trouble. He skips class to smoke weed, his after-school activities involve getting into brawls and such. He was a ticking timebomb, they would say.
I didn't know much about him, probably because he was a year my senior. I've never seen him smoke weed or get into fights. I wouldn't know because the stories I heard were just from my older brother, Baekhyun, who was in the same year as him.
"Miju," My Best Friend, Kayoung, nudged me. "Who do you think will be the next victim?"
"What are you talking about?" I asked her.
"Who do you think will Oh Sehun beat up after school today?" Kayoung said. "I heard from Tao that it was Kim Jongdae last time."
I rolled my eyes. "Don't believe a word Tao says," I told her. "Jongdae wasn't beaten up. He said he got the bruise because he got hit by a door yesterday."
"That's very unrealistic," Kayoung scoffed. "I bet Jongdae is just embarrassed because Seh--Oh, crap! He's coming this way!"
I turned back to see Sehun nearby. I didn't know what to think at the fact that his locker was across mine. He made a stop by his, opening it, and tossing his backpack inside. Then he slammed the door shut causing a few people to flinch.
We all thought he was going inside his classroom, when he took a detour. A detour to me and Kayoung.
People were starting to crowd around as Oh Sehun stood before us. I felt myself shake and I glanced to my side to see Kayoung as pale as a ghost. She could be as nervous as I was, or she was worse. I couldn't tell. I was to busy wondering why Oh Sehun was in front of us.
"Can I help--"
"What do you want?" Kayoung blurted out, panic and fear clear in her voice. "You can have my lunch money for all I care! Just don't kill us!"
Oh Sehun seemed to have ignored her. I glanced at Kayoung to see her eyes closed and her hands shaky. I looked at Oh Sehun to see his eyes boring on me. I felt myself get intimidated, but I had to stay still to avoid trouble.
"C-Can I help you, Sehun sunbae?" I stammered.
The next words that came out of Sehun's mouth were totally unexpected. It was the last thing you'd hear from the school bad boy say to an ordinary student.
"Will you go out with me?"
The time seemed to have stopped in that moment and the hallway crowd was silent for once. Not a word was uttered as they witnessed Sehun speak so indifferently from his character.
"S-Sunbae?" I looked at him.
Sehun nodded. "Will you go out with me, Byun Miju?"
His mouth saying my name was enough for me to sync in what was happening at the moment. Oh Sehun was asking me out.
Oh Sehun was asking me out.
Oh Sehun was asking me out.
I was about to ask Oh Sehun if we could talk privately. It was uncomfortable enough for me that nearly everyone's attention was on us. They would just gossip about this once it was over, probably come up with a rumour that Sehun kidnapped me or something.
There was commotion in the crowd and I turned to see my older brother, Baekhyun, fighting his way through the crowd. He pushed Sehun away from and glared at him.
"Stay away from my sister!" Baekhyun sneered. "Go find another girl to prey on, and toss her away after that!"
"Baekhyun!" I gasped at his words to Sehun, who just looked at him wordlessly.
"Come on, Miju," Baekhyun grabbed my arm, glaring at Sehun one more time. "I'm taking you to your class."
