It's been a month since Jasmine came to my life. She's a cute girl, I must admit. She's also hard working, doing all the household chores on her own. But there's one thing that makes me feel irritated with her...

"Master! When will you tell me your first wish??" there. There she goes again. Bugging me with my first wish.

"Aish! Jasmine-ah! I told you... I will tell you my wish if I already thought about it. Can you just wait?!" I snapped.

"But Master-------- It's been a month! A MONTH!!! Can you just think right now? My previous Masters told me their 3 wishes within a month! But you, you're still thinking!" She complained.

"Mwo---?!! Yah-!" I rubbed the back of my neck, I think I'm losing my temper. "Why do you keep on bugging me with that?!" I growled at her.

"It's because I'm a genie! If I don't grant my master's wishes, then I'll be useless..." She said the last word in a low voice as she looked down on the ground.

I felt like I was showered with ice cold water. I didn't intend her to feel useless.

"I... Fine. I'll give you my first wish."

Upon hearing the word 'wish' came out of lips, she immediately lifted her head to look at me and I can see her eyes glittering with excitement.

"Really Master??"

I nodded. She stretched her arms and fingers and said, "I'm ready!"

"Okay... I've always wanted to have a pet cat since I was a kid. But my mom wouldn't allow me because she's allergic with animal hair." Jasmine looked at me, listening to my story intently. "So my first wish is, a cat. I want a pet cat."

"Oh! That's easy! One pet cat, coming up!" She raised her right hand but I stopped her to snap her fingers.

"I don't want just any other cat. I want a cat that is smart." For the nth time, Jasmine looked at me with confused eyes.

"I--- What's that Master?! You're weird!" She said, messing up her hair out of confusion.

"I won't change my wish. I can wait until tomorrow. For now, I will sleep. Ciao my genie~!" I waved my right hand before I turned my back at her. "Good luck, my genie!" I shouted as I closed my bedroom door.

"Hehe~ I think this will keep her from bugging me about those wishes." I flopped to my bed, smirking then fell asleep.

Next morning...


"Uhm... 10 more minutes." I mumbled. I can feel someone pushing the pillow on my face, trying to wake me up.

"I said, 10 MORE MINUTES!!" I removed the pillow off my face and brought myself to sat up. I expected to see Jasmine standing beside my bed for it's her who usually wake me up. But to my surprise, she was not there and only saw a big black cat with a pair of equally big round eyes staring at me.

"Aa...." I don't know what to say. I just remained silent. My mind sure is completely blank.

"Hey. Don't just stare. Get on your feet now and go to work! You're a sleepyhead!" I blinked twice, processed everything.

"Did I just heard this cat talk to me? Plus, he even nagged me!"


I continued to look at the cat beside me. Now, my confusion is getting bigger. Then, he talked AGAIN.

"What?! Are you scared?! Didn't you wish to have a pet cat? Not just ordinary cat, but a smart one?? Ta-dah! I'm your cat Kim Heechul-sshi. My name is Heebum" The black cat bowed at me just like he's actually a normal person with a name and good manners.
