Hours passed and we stayed in the same position.

I could hear him sighing at the other side of the door.

I had a lot of work to do, but for a reason I couldn’t move from there….

I was hoping he would knock the door and excitedly said what I wanted to hear.

Suddenly I heard the crack of thunder and I could see through the window the rain that had started to fall.

I stood up and said to the door.

“Yunho tell me now or go home, it´s raining.”

“I won´t go, I have just started remembering what happened.”

I decided to open the door. The rain was heavy and I didn’t want him to get sick.

But before I could open it, he stood up and started pulling the door to his side.

“Yunho, stop pulling. I can´t open the door.” I said pulling the door knob with all my strength.

“NO!” he shouted.

“It´s raining!” I shouted.

“No before I can give you the proper explanation you asked for…”

The sound of the thunder was heard even closer.

I was afraid he would get hurt, but he didn’t let me open the door.

“That is not what I asked for……now come in!”

“I can´t remember yet!”  He sounded like a kid….

“You will get hurt!.....Come in!....I don’t want to loose you!”

I shouted almost in tears while the crack of the thunder was heard even closer.

He let go of the door knob and I opened the door.

He was shivering from the cold, wet from head to toe.

I was about to pull him inside when he said.

“I really can´t remember everything, but she asked me for help first,

later she told me she broke up with his boyfriend and invited me to drink with her,

I didn’t want to drink with her…I don’t know what happened to me….”

“That is not what I wanted to hear.” I calmly said after hearing his lame explanation.

He looked at me with a confused look.

“You really don’t remember?....I trust you…..I know what happened. I just need you to say those words…..”

I said pulling him in a hug.

 

FLASHBACK

Yunho pushed me inside my house after I opened the door.

He was panting, like if he had run many miles.

“Yunho, are you alright?” I asked concerned.

“I have something to tell you, but……it doesn’t matter anymore….”

He rapidly said and he was about to leave when I pulled him by his wrist.

“Tell me now…” I said.

The normally cool and confident Yunho was now nervous and blushing.

There had to be something wrong with him.

“Well…..I….”

“Yunho, you can trust me. If you have something to tell me, say it now. I want to hear it.” I said impatiently.

“Ok.” He breathed deeply. “I can hide this anymore.”

I looked at him with a concerned look.

“(     ), I love you.”

I stayed there dumfounded.

“And I had been said that with every love confession you must promise something.”

He said and held my hand.

“Well, this is my promise to you: I will always love you and I will never cheat on you.”

I smiled warmly. Finally he had the same feeling as me for him…..I had waited for this moment so long.

“I love you too Yunho.” I said.

He leaned closer and kissed me.

When he stopped kissing we remained looking at each other with blushing faces.

Suddenly I hugged him happily and said.

“Thanks for telling me what I wanted to hear.”

END OF FLASHBACK

 

He broke the hug slowly and held my hand.

“Now I remember……with your hug….”

I looked at him with eager eyes.

“I´ll always love you (    ), and I will never cheat on you.” He said and caressed my cheek.

I smiled at him.

“That´s all I wanted to hear.”

“Thank you for trusting in me….”

“Don’t say more….now you remember what happened next?” I said smirking and wiping the rain drops of his face.

He leaned closer and kissed me pulling me closer to him.

The floor of my house, my cloth  and my hair were covered with rain water,

but it didn’t matter, because I was with the one I loved,

and his promise to me, will  be the key to our growing love.
