So I thought of this little idea at like 2 am after seeing a precious gif of Jinki. This will be a two part story, I hope you enjoy~! Forgive me for mistakes!

 

“Naeri-ah~.”

 

“Go away!”

 

“Don’t be that way.”

 

“I said go away. I hate you!” With a sigh, the defeated man left the room of the young ‘princess’ and made his way downstairs.

 

“Hmph!” She crossed her little legs with a pout on her face. “Don’t think I’ll forgive you so easily this time oppa!”

 

Let’s start a little earlier, shall we?

 

Kim Naeri, is the youngest child of the Kim family. She is the only girl that her parents possess, as a result they spoil her rotten. Her two brothers, Kibum and Jonghyun, aren’t treated with the same luxury as their younger sibling, but they don’t seem to mind. They spoil her themselves anyway.

 

Kim Naeri always gets what she wants. Always. At two she wanted a puppy, and so she received one. At five she wanted to be a ballerina, so she trained only to realize at eight, she’d rather be a figure skater. Her room was plastered with posters of Kim Yuna, side by side with her gold medals. The dream continued until one fateful day when she was nine years old.

 

Her oldest brother, Jonghyun, had invited his best friend over, enter Lee Jinki. A handsome, smart, and clever boy who captured Naeri’s heart immediately. It didn’t matter that he was sixteen years old. Her heart showed no mercy despite her age. Again, what Naeri wants, she gets.

 

On the fateful day she discovered her new love, figure skating was a no go. Instead she wanted to sing and play the piano like Lee Jinki. At nine years old, she busted into her brother’s room demanding that Jinki teach her how to play the piano. She also demanded that Jinki be her husband when she reached ‘of age’.

 

“Mark my words Jinki oppa! You will be mine!”

 

Completely embarrassed by his younger sister’s words, Jonghyun removed his gremlin of a sister out of his room and into Kibum’s while Jinki just laughed at the scene.

 

Needless to say, she got what she wanted...sort of.

 

After that day, Jinki came over everyday for six years to teach the young girl how to play piano and sing. She was now fourteen while Jinki had just turned twenty one.

 

“I think that’s enough practice for today, why don’t we stop there? I don’t want to put any more stress on your vocal chords.”

 

“No~.” Naeri tangled her arms with Jinki with that infamous pout on her face. “If we stop now, you’ll leave! Then I have to wait a whole day to see you again!” Jinki smiled at her cuteness and gave her a pat on the head.

 

“Oh no, a whole day, how will you survive?”

 

“I know~.” Jinki let out a sigh and placed the girl on his lap.

 

“I’ll try to come by tomorrow after work. Does that sound fine?” Instead of answering him with words, she showed her pleasure by placing a quick kiss on his lips. Jinki was quick to pull himself away as if she had burned him.

 

“Naeri, how many times do I have to tell you? You’re not allowed to do that with me.”

 

“ But why not? Mother said to only kiss the boy that I love and I love you.” Feeling tired and not wanting to deal with thE issue yet again, Jinki removed the girl from his lap and left the room without another word.

 

The next day, Jinki didn’t come over as promised.

 

“Why are you sulking like that?” Kibum pestered his sweet sister. It was currently his spring break and he couldn’t help but spend it with his younger sister.

 

“Jinki didn’t come over yesterday or the day before. I’m irritated.” She buried her face into her pillows and let out a scream to which Kibum only chuckled.

 

“Well, he does have a life to live. He can’t just put everything on hold just for you.”

 

“Yes he can.”

 

“Look, how about I give him a call and see if he wants to join us for dinner tonight. Minho is coming.” Naeri shot up from her bed and looked at her brother with concern.

 

“Y-you’re finally coming out?” Without looking at his sister, he nodded. “Will you be okay?” Kibum remained silent for a moment before walking over to his sister’s bed and taking a seat beside her.

“I have you, Minho, and Jonghyun. I’ll be fine.”

 

“I’m proud of you oppa.” She pulled Kibum in for a hug.

 

“Thank you.”

 

Kibum did just as he promised and called Jinki, informing him of the dinner. Over the years Kibum had gotten closer to Jinki since he was always around Jonghyun and his sister. Without much thought he accepted Kibum’s request. Naeri was ecstatic. She dressed in her best dress, applied her best makeup and wore her best shoes. Later that evening, she walked downstairs with a smile on her face, but all too soon it disappeared.

 

The sight that met her eyes as she cascaded down the stairs was very unpleasant, at least to her. A female, a pretty one, had her arm intertwined with Jinki’s. As most girls do, she analyzed this ‘threat’ with haste. She was at least half Jinki’s size,had a bright smile, annoyingly enthusiastic, and again...pretty. Result:she is the enemy. Slowly, but surely Naeri made her way to Jinki with a fake smile plastered on her gorgeous face.

 

“Oppa!” Jinki stopped his conversation with the unknown threat and smiled down to Naeri.

 

“Naeri! You look beautiful.”

 

“Of course oppa! I am a Kim afterall.”

 

“Ah yes, indeed you are.” Naeri couldn’t help but let her eyes wander over to the thing attached to Jinki’s side. It took all her power to not let a glare stain her beautiful face. Jinki seemed to catch her line of vision and spoke.

 

“Oh, this is Luna. She’s my girlfriend.” Girlfriend...he said girlfriend. I’m dreaming.

 

“I’ve heard so much about you. According to Jinki, you’re my competition.” She giggled. “Let’s hope for a clean fight.”

 

Luna extended her hand, waiting for Naeri to shake it, but it never came. Naeri simply eyed the woman’s hand before fixing her gaze to Jinki.

 

“Where have you been the last two days?” Luna awkwardly brought her hand to her chest while Jinki looked in disapproval. He answered Naeri’s question nonetheless.

 

“I had to work on our musical. We are opening in a few days, so we were fixing any last minute details.”

 

“I see…” Without another word to Jinki, she marched into the dining area and took her seat next to Kibum. Her brother was obviously surprised at her action. He thought she would’ve wanted to sit next to Jinki. The action didn’t go unnoticed by Jonghyun either. As Jinki approached the table with his date he instantly understood. Tonight was going to be a long night.

 

Jinki took his usual spot when he came over which so happened to be right across from Naeri. He offered her a peaceful smile, but she glared instead. She turned her attention away from him and towards Kibum. She missed the frown that had fallen upon Jinki’s lips.

 

“Ki oppa, when is Minho getting here?”

 

“Soon I hope.”

 

“Don’t sweat it Bum, we all have your back.” Jonghyun gave a rough pat onto Kibum’s shoulder and took his seat next to Jinki.

 

After a few minutes of waiting, Minho had arrived. Kibum greeted him outside for a quick kiss and pep talk leaving his sister to stare at the man who was causing her so much pain. Luna sensing the tension, decided to try and break the ice despite Jonghyun’s words “just leave her alone.”

 

“So...Naeri, do you want to be a singer?” Without looking at Luna, Naeri answered her question. Her gaze was completely focused on Jinki. She thought if she stared hard enough, she could burn a hole in his perfect face.

 

“No. It suddenly doesn’t suit me.” Jonghyun sighed, quickly knowing where this conversation was going. He excused himself from the trio to find Kibum and Minho along with his parents, quickly.

 

Jinki frowned at her answer. He knew whenever Naeri lost interest in something, it was never a good thing. After ballet, figure skating and a few other hobbies, he figured he could make her find something she truly loved to do. So against all odds he spoke.

 

“Don’t do this Naeri.”

 

“Don’t do what?”

 

“Let’s not play dumb, I know-we both know you’re smarter than that. Don’t give up singing because of me. I know you love it.” Those very words set Naeri off.

 

“That’s rich coming from you. You think a little too highly of yourself. Please allow me to knock you off your pedestal. I’m not doing because of you! I do whatever the I want to do because I am a Kim!” She stood from her chair, anger and adrenaline pumping through her veins. The couple before her stared at her in shock, especially Jinki. He had never heard Naeri speak in such a way and to him.

 

“And who are you to tell me what I love? You have no ing idea!” Tears fell slowly from her eyes, make up followed suit. Jonghyun and the others chose that moment to enter the dining area. Frowns painting their faces as they analyzed the scene.

 

“If...if you knew what I loved, you wouldn’t be here breaking my heart.” Without another word, Naeri ran from the area and into the safety of her room, locking the door. Ignoring the calls of her name, she buried herself into her bed.

 

All eyes were on Jinki and the poor man had nothing to say.

 

“What the hell did we miss?” Minho had spoken to break the unbearable silence.

 

“I broke a girl’s heart. With time, she’ll be fine.”  Naeri’s parents agreed and ushered everyone to sit and enjoy dinner. Out of consideration for his sister, Kibum kept his mouth shut that night even if his lover was a bit upset.

Here is part one! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed typing it!(not sarcasm) I will have part two up tomorrow, I’m still working on it.
