“You deserve to be happy, hyung.” He’s kneeling on one knee against the hard ground, willing himself not to tear up.

Taehyung stands up from where he has been kneeling.

“It’s still Namjoon hyung, isn’t it?”

“Always have been, always will.” Seokjin says wistfully.

Taehyung pockets the ring he’s supposed to give to Seokjin. Seokjin takes his hand and Taehyung lifts his head to meet Seokjin’s gaze.

“You never loved me, Tae. You’re just into the idea of loving your hyung. I’m really sorry for leading you on, I just can’t really marry you.”

“I understand, hyung. Friends?” Taehyung gives a small shy smile.

“Friends.” Seokjin smiles back.

Seokjin gets a call from an unknown number as he’s walking away from a dejected Taehyung.

“Hello?” He answers cautiously.

Seokjin’s breath hitches as he halts his movements.
