He's the Man
Description
Ever read Twelfth Night by Mr. William Shakespeare? It's a pretty cool story. Or maybe you've seen She's the Man? It's a movie based off of Twelfth Night, it's pretty funny, I mean, it's not a fantastic movie by any means but, y'know, it's amusing. Or quite possibly one of those kdramas where a girl pretends to be a boy: "To the Beautiful You" or "Coffee Prince" among many others. Anyway, this story is an adaption of all of those, basically...Exo meets Shakespeare meets She's the Man meets To the Beautiful You meets me.
Xiumin is our wonderful Viola
Chen is the duke (because he's a royal pain in the ...love you Jongdae)
Luhan is the dumb and adorable Olivia
That's where the parallel characters stop, basically
Sohee is...Sebastian ish but then Sehun is as well...they are both simultaneously Sebastian
Baekhyun is Xiumin's best friend and Sunmi's younger brother (cause none of the Wonder Girls really look like Baekhyun so I picked Sunmi 'cause seeing Baek dance to 24 hours would be amusing)
Kris is Xiumin's friend and homeschool teacher...but also a teacher at Sohee and Sunmi's boarding school
Chanyeol, Kai and Tao are best friends with Chen
Suho is the principal at Sohee and Sunmi's boarding school
Lay is the school's nurse (ah? ah? see what I did there? Nurse? Healing? Unicorn healing powers? I totally did not just realize now that Lay's role in my story matches his obscure and adorable MAMA era powers...)
And DO will pop in there because what is Kai without Kyungsoo? (Kai is sad, that's what...sorry, I'll just hide now)
Foreword
“Pleeease!”
“No.”
“Please, Xiumin, please!”
“No, Sohee, I said no and I meant it!!”
“It’ll only be for two weeks, this is really important! This could be our big break!! You’re my cousin, we made a pact to do anything for each other.”
“Yeah, well I made that pact before you asked me to dress up as GIRL and be you for TWO WEEKS!”
“Pleeease, Minnie, don’t make me do agyeo.”
“Ugh, like that will make me change my mind, I can do agyeo just as well as you can!”
“That doesn’t mean it doesn’t have any affect on you…ommana, ommana,” Sohee started her killer agyeo (seriously that thing is lethal).
“Okay! Okay! Stop! But say I was to dress as a girl, no one would believe it was you, you’re like what, the most popular girl in your school?! Everybody knows you!”
“First of all, in case you hadn’t noticed it’s the start of the new year at boarding school this Monday; all the rooms are moved around, all the classes, chances are nobody knows me in my new class, second of all, Baekhyun will probably be there as well since Sunmi Unni can be quite persuasive if she wants to be and third, you and I could be identical twins – except for well , you have a and I have s – whether you like it or not.”
“Okay, fine, so convincing the school I’m you might not be so hard. What about Kris?”
“Already said yes.”
“Your parents?”
“Pssh, it’s boarding school, that’s where they’ll think I am and you can just say you’re staying with Kris for a couple weeks.”
“Sehun?”
“Loves the idea.”
Xiumin sighed.
“Please, Minnie! There’ll be lots of hot guys there!” Sohee wiggled her eyebrows.
Then came the puppy dog eyes.
“Fine! Fine! All right! But you’d better remember me when you’re famous.”
“THANK YOU!” Sohee cried, pouncing on Xiumin and giving him a bear hug, “I’ll bring you back all the baozi you could ever ask for!!”
Xiumin smiled and hugged back, “anything for you, crazy cousin of mine.”
