Snippet to catch the attention; read if you so choose: I'll never forget his face when he said that word to me, nor will will I ever forget what it was like when he leaned in and pressed a gentle peck to my lips. I remembered to tell him our usual goodbye's of "I love you!" and was met with a casual wave that I knew meant, "I love you too." I just regret that he hadn't paused to say the actual words back to me.
