Jung starts off brave and determined but all her brain to think or move fly out the window when Jongdae opens his eyes.

“Jungsookie?”
Just like when three-year-old Kim Jungsook got bitten by an ostrich in Zoo Seoul, nineteen-year-old Kim Jungsook’s eyes widen and she tries to escape. (The action is really super close to that one time except that then she roared like a baby gorilla and cried a river.)
But she can’t because Jongdae’s arms find her waist and keep her there.
Above him.
So close that it passes personal space by a mile.
Jung freezes.
“Don’t go.” Jongdae continues. “You were about to do something, weren’t you? ”
Kim Jungsook (19) thought it's easy to give up if the person she's holding onto has given up already.
But of course destiny is more complicated than that.
